You can definitely use it..it will be fine for the vast majority of bonefish and flies. You may run into issues, depending on your casting, with the wind. Also, triggers tend to go over the edge or into a hole..so more backbone would help with those. If you have a 9 or 10 I would bring that as well. They always have you carry two rods if you have it anyways. There’s nothing on the island so the other rod can be a backup.
