I really appreciate you reviewing the Orca. I've been looking for one for them for quite a while so it was very welcome! Sounds like a good buy. It's definitely on my radar now! 😊 Btw I think the dots on it are supposed to represent the markings on an Orca whale 🙂
@@BixSugi I ended up getting the USB C version. I found for me personally with the switches set to up/down/up they sound really good! ( And I needed to use Spinfit 100 tips to get that sound as well)
@@philipm.4738 yep! This setting sounds like an entirely different IEM. And I just discovered it because it wasn't one of the recommendations. Perhaps it sounds too good for the price point and they are keeping it on the down low. Lol 😜 after a lot of tip rolling I ended back on the Ttips. I really love those tips. They fit my weird ear canals really well and almost always sound great. Ive been playing with taping the vent to warm up the sound a bit and just switched from micropore to transpore tape today. I only covered 3/4 of driver vent instead of the entire hole and pushed back the top layer of tape. Sounds even better than it did last night, more details are coming through while toning down the mids a bit 😎😁
Hope you're feeling better Tony. Looking forward to your Tanchjim Origin review and comparison against your favorite iem, the Tanchjim Oxygen. 1 DMT DD, apparently super clear.
Thanks for the video Mr Akros, I agree with the Conchs, I like them as much as the EA500. Another question regarding the USB C cable that has 2 outputs for charging and data, do you have a link to buy it?
Old doesn't mean dead, and new doesn't mean best👍 There's great progress made in the market, I won't deny it, but many are also a bit snowblind because of the constant hype storm, makes it hard to see the real value, of even just a couple years old sets.
After playing with switches and trying a bunch of mod configs, I'm using the Orca on 101 which isn't one of the listed tunings so no Idea how it graphs. I covered the bass vent with transpore tape and using TTips, sounds incredible!! Bass is impactful while the mids and highs are still very present, no shoutiness or harshness. Stage is imoressive. Im still playing with mods on the Conch. Suggestions?
@@mi-les I haven't heard the LAN so I can't speak for it, but the Orca on the UP-Down-Up setting has a very nice Soundstage. I tried a lot of other settings since this one isn't listed. That setting has some special sauce. Great bass, mids, highs, and soundstage. I got mine on sale and with coupons/coins, paid $9. Very surprised by how great it sounds in that setting.
@@mi-les btw I hear the soundstage all around my head except the front. The song Strive by Amber Rubarth is great for checking soundstage, tone and details.
Got the TRN Conch, and Kz Vadar Balanced, for $50 CAD on sale. The conch is $40 cad without cpons but i got em for 25 Vadar balanced for 25 too. Hope i make the right choice picking it over the ST7.
Hello, I am in the business of mixing music and I wanted to get an iem in addition to my monitoring system Help me choose balanced frequency response IEMs with good detailed sound I am considering the following models, but I do not refuse your suggestions KZ ZSN PRO 2 TRN Orca TRN MT3 TANGZU WAN ER SG 10
Try up, down, up-opened up the Soundstage A TON! Not sure why it's not listed as a profile, sound goes to next level, the balance between the frequencies is perfect. I wanted more subbass so I covered the bass vent with transpore medical tape. Bass sounds more balanced and detailed now.

@@MariaAudioChick Me too! Must be the sweet spot setting for them😃 And the Spinfit eartips too!

Nice to see TRN with some good releases in the Orca and Conch. I think Conch is a heck of a deal and can even go as low as around $25 on sale
You are the most lucky and happy man in the world and i have only a small percent of iems you have i have much joy already i can not stop listening😊
Wow, I was interested in trying the Orca for fun, but now it seems like a must buy, I love ultrabudget gems like that! Great vid!
It's great! Up-down-up FTW 😁

Hi, how is the orca compared to zero 2 and Chu 2?
For me the Conch It's unrivaled at that price point under 22 - 30€ there is nothing that compares to everything this IEM brings you. Cheers

Thanks for sharing your review and of course that graet playlist you've made :) greetings from Mexico
Thanks for doing this. Some of us buy on the second hand market. So older ones are fine!

@@Jaawaudio too true!
That Aful DAC/dongle looks really sharp
Love these sneak peeks, of spotting new products in vids, few days ago I spotted Tangzu Gate elsewhere, just chilling in the background of a vid :D
Happy healing Tony!
Hi Akros. Did you find anything as good as Butastur for comparable price?
I misread as "Battle of Sibilance" first lol
this isn't a Simgot comparison

In your opinion, is the soundstage wide or small? in doubt between trn orca or moondrop lan. 🤔

I am considering the following models, but I do not refuse your suggestions
KZ ZSN PRO 2
TRN Orca
TRN MT3
TANGZU WAN ER SG 10
You have a good selection, but TRN Conch is a must as is the EW200.
Is the orca type c any good?
Trn orca vs castor Harman, which is better overall?
I like Orca just a little more.as the bass is more towards my preference.......makes the sound tonality more pleasant for me.
Trn orca easier to swallow and enjoy but soundstage is not wide like castor
And orca have a thicc mid but you can reduce it to enough for vocaloid music or electronic music to enough for enjoy.

Trn. Funny looks. Place a circle to make eye balls
