Dividends are what got me into investing in the stock market. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. Have over $600K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.

People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

Personally I think it’s wise to keep the majority of your portfolio in ETFs that covers multiple sectors. Also have a couple stocks, as a small percentage, picked out that you feel personally attached to or interested in, which you can keep for a long period time. That way you can mitigate a lot of the risk but also have a personal touch to your portfolio. I feel this mitigates some of the emotional downsides or disinterest people have with investing. Also helps with the urge to constantly buy/sell with fluxes in the market. Grateful i have an adviser at this point. Major thanks to Amber Tamora Phoenix.
Great content. Newbies must realize that though these stock trading can make you, it can equally mar you as it not without lots of risks. The market is a zero sum game and you could potentially lose all. Always make correct inquiries before putting your money somewhere or better still, get the services of a pro (that way, you give little room for error). I'd also like to point out the difference between risk and volatility, which are often mistakenly seen as the same. If your time frame is the long-term, short-term stock price volatility shouldn't be a bad thing for you unless the company is also changing, and it can often represent an opportunity. The stock and the company are two different things and can often move independently in the short-term, but in the long-term they tend to perform in a similar manner.
I feel sad that even though I am investing, I don't have the brain power to dig through how each company is doing, is this a good time to buy stocks or not, my reserve of $450K is laying waste to inflation and I don't know what to do at this point tbh, I need solid data on market trajectory

I want clarification on the “healthy ratio” and when to really take it into account, since as per your live exmple, Apple had many of the ratios in red, but we know it is a good company to invest in. We are still in a BEAR market, in any case and for noobs in general, I'd advise you learn diversity as part of your trading skills. What isn't possible a few years can be possible today. No one has control of the market as other factors tends to influence what happens in the market. There are bonds, shares, ETFs to trade but you would have to be patience to have the skillset to be able to succeed in this field, to avoid getting confused, study a few and stick to them or better get an advisorr and mirror their trades or let them handle it for you, their years of experience doesn't count for nothing.

Dividends are what got me into investing in the stock market. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. Have over $600K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.
As a new investor it's always great to hear from a person who has gone through all the difficult times and come ahead of it. It's unnerving to see your portfolio go from green to red but as mentioned if you have invested in quality names just have to keep adding to them and stay the course

We are already in the big crash, Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

Personally I think it’s wise to keep the majority of your portfolio in ETFs that covers multiple sectors. Also have a couple stocks, as a small percentage, picked out that you feel personally attached to or interested in, which you can keep for a long period time. That way you can mitigate a lot of the risk but also have a personal touch to your portfolio. I feel this mitigates some of the emotional downsides or disinterest people have with investing. Also helps with the urge to constantly buy/sell with fluxes in the market. Grateful i have an adviser at this point. Major thanks to Amber Tamora Phoenix.

Great content. Newbies must realize that though these stock trading can make you, it can equally mar you as it not without lots of risks. The market is a zero sum game and you could potentially lose all. Always make correct inquiries before putting your money somewhere or better still, get the services of a pro (that way, you give little room for error). Made my first million earlier this year this way. Good luck!

I'd also like to point out the difference between risk and volatility, which are often mistakenly seen as the same. If your time frame is the long-term, short-term stock price volatility shouldn't be a bad thing for you unless the company is also changing, and it can often represent an opportunity. The stock and the company are two different things and can often move independently in the short-term, but in the long-term they tend to perform in a similar manner.

I want clarification on the “healthy ratio” and when to really take it into account, since as per your live exmple, Apple had many of the ratios in red, but we know it is a good company to invest in. That being said, the healthy ratios you mentioned should mostly be applied to smaller/younger companies that don’t have the reputation Apple does for example?

We are still in a BEAR market, in any case and for noobs in general, I'd advise you learn diversity as part of your trading skills. What isn't possible a few years can be possible today. No one has control of the market as other factors tends to influence what happens in the market. There are bonds, shares, ETFs to trade but you would have to be patience to have the skillset to be able to succeed in this field, to avoid getting confused, study a few and stick to them or better get an advisorr and mirror their trades or let them handle it for you, their years of experience doesn't count for nothing.

My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
The key to achieving substantial returns isn’t chasing big-moving stocks; it’s about managing risk relative to reward. Position sizing is crucial, and consistently applying your edge as often as needed to reach your goals. This principle applies to everything from long-term investing to day trading.
Even if you’re not skilled, it is still possible to hire one. I was a project manager and my personal portfolio of approximately $850k of my retirement pension took a big hit in April due to the crash. I quickly got in touch with a financial-planner that devised a defensive strategy to protect my funds and make profit from my portfolio this red season. I’ve made over $250k since then.

I've shuffled through investment coaches and yes, they can be positively impactful to an individual's portfolio, but do your due diligence to find a coach with grit, one that withstood the 08' crash. For me, “Teresa L. Athas” turned out to be better and smarter than all the advisors I ever worked with till date, I’ve never met anyone with as much conviction.
