Hi Andy & PGS - Jonas from Sweden here - what a great guitar, tone and really superb playing from Andy! Thanks for all your excellent demos :) - Cheers from Stockholm, Sweden - Jonas
As usual Andy delivers a superb playing experience on this demo. I know of no other company who can show what guitar gear can do like Pro Guitar Shop and Andy. Thanks!
That is an amazing sounding Gretsch in an amazing guitar players hands. Props! Thanks for everything you do PGS! Us guitar freaks and gear addicts thank you for feeding our addiction. :)
It's a mix of slapback delay and just mild overdrive, not too much gain so the attack and sound of the guitar shines through. Take a look at the Xotic RC Booster, JHS Morning Glory or any of the Jetter pedals. PGS
Whoa! I love alot of tones, the classic medium gain plexi/JCM sound through a Les Paul,Warm smooth jazz tones from an Es,Super heavy detuned high gain EMG sounds,a snappy quacky Fender tone, and of course that great gretsch sound, but this thing has a tone all its own! mean its got that gretsch snap and spank, but jeez its got so much bite and jangle to it too,but its not harsh.I want one!!! lol awesome demo Andy, youre doing your job, making everyone want super expensive guitars haha.
Andy--great work on your demos, pal. I really like your playing style. Not really hybrid, but it looks that way. Using your forefinger- and thumb-nails as a pick affords digit versatility, I think.
Hi PGS-Andy, sounds fantastic! What's the difference in sound between this Gretsch G6130 Knotty Pine Western Round Up and the G6121-1955 model, both with DynaSonics? Best Regards
Can anyone tell me what the music was in the background during the explanation of the features from 1:05 - 2:04? That song was totally boss! Thanks, Dm
What a great Gretsch!! And what a great player ;) You both make me love the 50's even more!
Cheers Andy and the PGS crew i enjoy these demos greatly
Andy,
You are truly gifted! I love the little country tune at tabout the 2:00 minute mark. I just have to have that git fiddle!!!
This was a mindblowing new sound.
This guitar will be a hit in the South!

The bridge pickup has that Neil Young sound-nice instrument, great playing.

@ProGuitarShopDemos Thanks for your feedback, my pleasure! Take care guys! Best regars - Jonas, Sweden
The Black Keys!
Andy should do a guitar lesson video showing all of his tasty licks...
You can never have too much Black Keys in a guitar demo.
@ProGuitarShopDemos: That was the most boss groove I've heard all month!
Jaime, you ROCK!
=]
Dm
best pgs demo
I like almost everything in this guitar, except the leather :P
@ThursdayisPathetic i think most of the new vids have links to the pgs website at the video description.
Une GRETSCH country de légende super qualité Mais CHER ..tres cher helas ☝️😱
@ThursdayisPathetic i think most of the earlier vids didnt have links, and a couple of other videos of products that they are not selling anymore.
@1012musicman1012 I'm pretty sure it's covered in the one on general picking technique.
Hi PGS-Andy,
sounds fantastic! What's the difference in sound between this Gretsch G6130 Knotty Pine Western Round Up and the G6121-1955 model, both with DynaSonics?
Best Regards
this would be great for that stray cats tone
Andy your playing technique is fantastic. How did you learn to play with your right hand like that?
You going to NAMM this year Andy ?
what the hell was that first song you have played, that was badass.
DId you go into "Have love will travel" ?
Creedence songs on that guitar would be nice
is that intro the living end? it really sounds like it.
Can anyone tell me what the music was in the background during the explanation of the features from 1:05 - 2:04?
That song was totally boss!
Thanks,
Dm
@ThursdayisPathetic Link is there, dude...look in the description.
"If you're wondering about pine as a tonewood," I just have two words for you: Fender Esquire.
I know it was asked, but nobody answered it yet. Can someone tell me the name of the first song? It sounds like something I've heard before.
@StickyVinny i also wonder!
thumbs up only because Andy is noodling))))
whats the last song Andy plays?
what the bloody hell was the song at the start im sure i know it!!!
The Black Keys - Hard Row
Andy,
How did you get the tone in the first bit? I have been looking for an overdrive to get that sound from my gretsch.
Does anybody know the first song?
Naughty Pine
No dislikes, obviously...
Ummmm, shouldn't you guys be down at NAMM?
The guitar is really really nice to me just a little too low-output..:/
I wish I could play with m fingers like that. He never has to look for a pick.
WELL THEN THE NIGHT GETS DARK, ALL IS STILL, YOU PRAY FOR ME, I KNOW YOU WILL. HAAAAAAAAAARD ROW TO HOE, ALL BY YOSELF!
Andy you're my hero.
0:51 - 0:52
Dynasonics are ok, Filtetrons would be nicer though
Knotty pine...Isn't that just the same shit you buy from Lowes/Home Depot? If I'm blatantly wrong, please correct me.
i love Grestch, but this looks like it has the pox or something
Eew, dude. I like cool and unique guitars, but leather? Who would want to carry a guitar with a dead animal body wrapped around it? Makes me sick...
anyone know the second song?
