Thank you sir! I wanted something that looked factory but preformed WAY better! Glad you enjoyed the video. I will be posting future videos of the details on the install.

Very nice setup for easy movement to operate from different locations. I have something similar with my jeep and there I move the radio head to the table on the back of the jeep to operate. I keep cables and plug them in since there is little area to run cable in a 2 door jeep. Enjoy and I look forward to your discussion on the ATAS.

Awesome setup! I love the idea of operating from your jeep. Sounds like a fun way to enjoy the outdoors while staying connected!

Where can I find that hitch mount & the telescoping mast?

Looks great! I'm sure I'd dump a big Dr Pepper all over that radio position!!! It's probably going to be one of those Lido mounts for me, 'cause I'm a such a SLOB!!! Nice work! Very impressive! 🤣

Nice install. What model is the telescopic pole, and what is the diamater of pole mount? Thanks.

The telescoping pole I have is the DX Commander 10m pole. It was leftover from when I had my Classic setup. I’m not sure about the exact dimensions, but the hitch mount has a 2-inch square opening. I had to sand down some of the plastic on the end of the DX Commander mast to make it fit properly.

I have a man pack 981 with short whip antena . I can hear people but I could not get anyone to hear me. What shame I never got to make a contact . So much money spent

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm curious, though, why you're using a short whip antenna. If you're operating on 10 meters, that might be fine, but for the other bands, I strongly recommend using a wire antenna. If you're budget-conscious, you might want to consider picking up a Reliance antenna. You can get 10% off if you use N1JUR at checkout, and I bet you'll be able to make many more contacts! keep me updated as I'd love to make contact with you!
