Happy Saturday and holidays! What a magical time, I get a birthday of 123123 this year. Must be a sign of great times ahead! Thanks for another wonderful yr of great creativity!
I still have my sewing tool from high school but could only find it on eBay listed as "vintage seam marker". It was used with special carbon type paper to mark darts and seams. Thanks for reminding me I can move it to my junk journal drawers. Merry Christmas to you and family.
Pam that wheel tool is called a tracing wheel. It was used to trace parts of the pattern onto your fabric by using special paper that was either blue or white. You would place the colored side of the paper onto your fabric then place your pattern onto the paper and use the wheel over the part of the paper you wanted to transfer onto the fabric. Love your pockets today. Lots of great ideas! TFS❤
Great video! The tool is use (along with transfer paper) to transfer dart’s or other markings from your sewing patterns to the fabric. Like tracing a picture from another picture. You sandwich the fabric, tracing paper then pattern and follow the darts with the tool on top of the sewing pattern and your markings would then be transferred to the fabric so you know where you would need to sew to make your darts (or gathers) on your skirt or blouse.
I love your ideas. The object in question is a tracing wheel, used with tracing paper to mark darts and adjustments while using patterns on material for sewing.
Morning Pam. Pocket inspiration abounds. TFS From me and mine to you and yours MERRY CHRISTMAS. (The tool you asked the name of is a tracing wheel for sewing projects. I know because I'm older than mud and took Home Ec in high school and we learned all about the tools of the trade 😂. FYI: My very first project was a pleated skirt. IKR! Good thing for me my mother was an excellent seamtress.) 🌞
Yep! Learned how to use this wheel in high school home ec. Our 1st project was a waist high apron with pockets. I sewed one these a little crooked = low grade. Oh sigh!😂
Good morning miss Pam, love love all of your great ideas! Thank you for always bringing a smile to my heart. Thank you for all you do, for all the encouragement you bring, for the joy you show in every video. Merry Christmas dear lady. Many Blessings to you , hugs 🎄🙏😘💜
Merry Christmas to you, Sunshine, aka Snuggle Pants, and your family! Have a joyous holiday season. I can't wait to start working on an art journal for my grandson after Christmas for his upcoming birthday. That sewing tool is called a tracing wheel. I have one but never used it for sewing but used it to make tickets for journals.
Good morning Pam🤗 These are all fabulous ideas, love the layered postage stamps. The tool you are asking about is a Tracing Wheel I have a couple and used them to transfer dart marks onto my fabric using special carbon paper for sewing. Hope you have a beautiful day, take care. 💕Hugs
Mine is beginning to shred while I am using it, and I despise the little foam pieces on my craft table or in my pages.. I think I will be replacing my sponges a little sooner than you have... But I can say your inker, looks so loved and appreciated..
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ! I hope Santa is good to us all and brings lots of crafting supplies! Be safe everyone! 🌲☃️❄️
When I was in middle school it was called a tracing wheel - it came with a red sort of carbon type paper to mark darts with -btw I’m now 70 so it was a minute ago - we’ve come a long way baby!
The tool you were showing is called a tracing wheel. It was used with a tracing paper to transfer seam lines, darts and other markings from the pattern to the fabric.
I recently found your channel 😀 and I'm LOVING all your videos! I love the "reckless abandon" vibe! So comfortable! Your pup is the most adorable ever 💕 Just listening to your videos makes me smile 🙂 Ohh...and I found a paper punch thingy the other day on Amazon that you can make your own little hole circle reinforcement thingys. I'm making them with old papers, anything and everything! LoL
Beautiful pockets, Pam. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Sunny, I can't wait to see you after your haircut and please wear your new Christmas sweater.
The tool that you showed us at time stamp 15:26 is not used in sewing. That is used to replace the rubber weather stripping in a screened window panel. I didn't have one when I replaced mine, so I just used a screwdriver.
Happy Christmas Pam love to you and family xxxx ps if you eat fast there are no calories lol from Australia (will let you know how Christmas goes I think ours is 14 hours before you :)
Pam, when others understood what your junk journal crafting is, did they start gifting you their junk mail, paper doilies, ribbons, etc.? I have so much already, but I still accept their gifts with an appreciation. 😊
Pam - Oh!! I really like the one you did with map and stamps. I love that for a travel journal! As an opening page for a signature. I’ll do a signature for each place that I have visited during a trip. I’ve tried coffee dying map pages, but I don’t yet like how they have turned out. Any advice on getting better results for coffee dying ‘modern’ maps (like the city tourist maps you pick up when visiting a new place) ?
I take screenshots of things I want make. And make sure I include the youtubers information if I need to refer back to the video. Unfortunately, I have 600+ screenshots now 🤣
Hi Pam! Been binge watching your videos. I appreciate all of them. Was wondering if you have ever tried using a watercolor pencil instead of the aquabella one? Thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 🤶
Pam you never scea-e to amaze me with all of your cool ideas! Have you thought more about the book I asked you about a couple of months ago? Did you get my newest email? Hope so! Merry Christmas and I can hardly wait to hear from you 🎅🎄😊
