Derek Hawke may I ask why the brother seems to be missing (excuse me if he isn’t as I’m not finished listening yet), I’ve always been curious about Newts time with him before the marine corps arrived, had they outlived their parents together, had Newt felt responsible for him, or he for her, what was it like to lose him and be left alone.. bloody brilliant story but I’m gutted I didn’t get a story that explored her brother and herself surviving together for some time, or how little he had survived the aliens. Good writing nonetheless.

Seriously though, this was so good... I knew it was gonna be good cus it is Aliens and Xenos make everything better, and I knew it was gonna be a Newt thing cus of title, but I didn't expect it to be just THAT good. Hats off to KillaHawke, he knew exactly what he was doing when he wrote that.
Humans are biologically wired to fear the dark because of all of the predators that come out at night and nocturnal predators such as a few types of scorpions, wolves, cougars and bobcats etc.
But I find dangerous animals or a scary monster in the daylight to be more frightening because it doesn't fit.
Having something terrifying or unusual in your view when you're doing something like going for a peaceful walk down the street makes it feel out of place which plays into the fear of the unknown or "creepiness."

Lack of sight is a scary thing to someone not used to it. In the daylight you can see the predator coming. In the darkness it's already there.
I absolutely LOVE how this is such a recognizable story without once stating the character’s name. I always felt so bad for the little girl... She died from drowning inside her own pod....

This story was truly AMAZING. I love how you can play so well with your voice. You could impersonate a little boy truly fascinatingly, and I loved the sci-fi vibes, and the slow build up.... Ahh. Just perfect! ♡

This one was super interesting. I'm a delivery driver and mainly play creepypasta's and true crime stories while I drive. This one was actually so captivating that I actually had to go by my house and grab my bluetooth headphones so I could finish this while I was washing dishes. Something about the space/terraformimg theme really grabbed me. Even made me tap that bell icon it was so on point

Outstanding! As a long time Alien series fan, this is fantastic. Newt certainly deserves to have her story told. And the reading of this was so powerful, it actually made me glassy eyed at one point. Newt went through so much. Her character really comes through here. It's like finding her diary or something.
I'd certainly like to find more short stories within the Alien franchise read by you!

I really dig your channel and I adore your narrations. I appreciate your choice of stories, as well as your style. The inflections of your voice, the delivery of your speaking, the way you inject emotion, gender and age, is perfect and allows me to follow these tales without distraction.
Thank you for the work you put into this. You entertain, yes, but you do much more...I have found your channel cathartic in many situations, and there are no words I can quickly drop in a TH-cam comment to adequately convey what I truly mean. It has been a rough period in life for a lot of people and I am no different in that aspect, but your channel has actually helped me to find comfort in the interim.

Right away, I picked up on the fact that this was Newt from "Aliens" (one of my favorite movies). I love how you narrate this, with her innocence and her tough core that gets her through the sort of things that make soldiers give up.

I am always impressed by your show and place you definitely in the top 5 and quite possibly top 3 narrators of creepypastas that I enjoy. For one thing I always dug the British accent (easy point , huh ?) , but it is your honest inflection , and emotion that earns my praise.... for what it's worth! When I said possibly top three it is very hard to pin this down I mean it's almost like the top three would be a tie... Didnt expect to hear a story about the alien franchise. The narration was so good, and due to this being about the second movie in the franchise (aliens) everything is much more claustrophobic and scarier, due to the colonists not having anything to fight with and really only being able to hide and wait for the innevitable. You really captured the emotion and atmosphere with this story, another great job!!

Great job on this story, Natures Temper! The story was 1st rate so great job with that choice & the storytelling was excellent. You didn't just read it, you lived it. I'm an older lady who doesn't quite remember radio plays but who heard a lot about them & I do have degrees in Creative Writing, English, Nursing as well as Masters level work in Communications so I'm a tough nut to impress, so to speak. But you did it & earned yourself another couple subs because it was my adult son who turned me on to you so great job! Give yourself a couple pats on the back & keep up the good work!

I heard one inconsistency. If this is Newt's pov then her dad died before all this. He was the first colonist to come in contact with the face hugger. He died when they tried to take it off.
