Je suis né en 1988 et j’ai un souvenir impérissable de cette magnifique mélodie qui passait souvent à la télé (MTV machin peut-être?). J’étais absorbé par cette mélodie à chaque fois. Tellement d’émotions en écoutant cette chanson !

Tengo una historia con Manu curiosa... Soy medio portugués y de niño le conocí en Albufeira, yo era amigo íntimo del hermano de José Moita, que luego fue el bajista de Kingsnakes en la época en que Manu giró con ellos. Después vino a Madrid con Los Carayos una semana y estuvimos de marcha con ellos casi todos los días de esa semana. Ya no le volví a ver hasta que me lo encontré 10 años después en un bar de Madrid, El Capote, donde hablé con él y se acordaba de mí. Me invitó a una cerveza, estuvimos 10 minutos hablando de rock and roll de los 50's y luego se marchó con la gente con la que andaba.

The 80s. And yes, follow Manu chao, their singer/writer. Three languages, a tad later, he's really good, very eclectic, always a blast in concert. kinda starts with a lullaby, cracks it with rock, cools it with reggae. his lyrics too range from poetry to dumbass hilarious. Pas Assez de toi =Not enough of you is typical rock loser threatening to blow the house, kill the cat, the whole classics of harassment. It was so funny to play on stereotypes. Unfortunaly, way too many women heard that crap. it's a joke Americans may not understand. I find the song hilarious, having dated one or two of the sort myself...

My story with this song:
I fell in love with a woman. I was pretty sure she felt the same for me so one snowy night when I was in her car, I kissed her. But her reaction wasn't the one I expected. So I said her goodbye very sad, convinced that I put my foot in it and ruined our friendship. That weekend I was so sad that I did a cover of this song for TH-cam (but as my user Carajillo music) cause it described perfectly my emotions in those moments, I felt completely defeated. Some days later, I talked to that woman and apologised to her, asking to forget what happened and telling her I was clear about she didn't love me as something more than a friend. She said: don't be so clear about that.
It happened 13 years ago.
Now she's my wife.
My story with this song is waking up on the street and making a fool of myself with old friends after drinking more than I should. But I honestly like your story more.

J'écoute ce morceau en boucle, ça me rappel les jeunes années, la mélodie est parfaite, tout es beau dans cette chanson. Je l'écoute au moins 2 fois par jours depuis de nombreuses années. Une œuvre d'art.

C'était au début des années 90 ( 90/91 par là).
T'as un grain. faut diversifier, et en plus c'est la magie de manu, c'est hyper traditionnel son rythme. faut écouter de la musique pour aimer la musique. Change de radios ou meurt idiot. il y en a globalement plus (de stations) mais la musique est moins variée sur les canaux les plus écoutés en moyenne. Si tu l'aimes; tu sais aussi qu'il ne passe en radio à part sur Fip ou trucs un peu alternatifs. Merci Fip/internet pour ne plus être pur Parisien. pareil pour Nova.

C'est aussi un peu le principe de toutes les musiques traditionnelles qu'on retrouve ailleurs (valse, polka, mazurka) C'est ni Mano Negra typique (leur touche c'est d'électrifier) ni Stromae typique (Gimmickiser) de s'approprier quelque chose né bien avant. tout le monde le fait.
