The Lovely Bones traumatized me as a kid because I was around Suzie's age when she died and I was so afraid of someone like kidnapping me or something for years after I watched it. Also Wild Child is one of my best friend's favorite movie 😂
Wild Child is truly a cult classic. Emma Roberts was great in that movie and the storyline is really fun. I loved it so much growing up, I even had the DVD.. Also the trailer doesn't show it but her dad sending her to England wasn't only about her jumping off the cliff. And going to England does end up being one of the best things to happen to her. Another thing the trailer doesn't show is that her mom has been dead for 5 years and her behaviour over the years following the loss of her mother is what drives her father to eventually send her to boarding school.
Its probably due to the scenes with suzie in between stuff wasnt as clearly defined as it was in the books, so it made those parts of the movie confusing. But agree it's a good movie that deserves a higher score

Wild child is literally my go-to comfort movie, I’m shocked it’s reviewed so low. Mostly male critics, maybe? It’s one of the few movies of the time that was almost completely female led (that I can think of) and was very focused on teenage female friendship, which can seem trivial to older men. That’s why I loved it so much, I could actually relate to a lot of the characters growing up! I’ve done absolutely no research into this, so I could definitely be wrong - it’s just a theory lol

But now I gotta say, the edit makes his videos even better than before. I have to pause now and then to catch my breath cause I'm laughing so hard at the editor's jokes (I think his name's Joe, not sure though). This is the perfect duo. Despite the percentage, The Lovely Bones (both book and movie) is bittersweet, heartbreaking and extremely moving. I've always loved it.
I actually hated the ending, so it all went down for me in the end
