- My thoughts and look at the Rhinoshield Mod NX/Crashguard for the iPhone 14 Pro as well as some included accessories that Rhioshield offers with these cases. Huge fan of this case from Rhinoshield, loved it for my 13 Pro Max and was so happy to see it come back strong this year with even more improvements, lets find out why this case will be on my phone...

can confirm just receive my Mod NX case with the clear magsafe back plate today and it feels robust and premium, also the max grip that they sell is good
Been meaning to get that backplate man! Definitely a great case and I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
The only thing I don’t like was the bottom part where you usually swipe up or down to multitask, the bumper sometimes prevent me to do that cause the bumper are on the slide way.

I don't see the back scratch guards anywhere on their website, do they still make them? if so can you buy them on their own?
Hi there. I just purchased my first ever crashguard for the iPhone 15 plus. But I’m not finding anyway to remove that back frame. It’s like one solid bumper now. Not unless I’m missing something.

My power button clicks like shit, and I even got a replacement from them. It’s like the button or the case hole is just a little to big and I can click it with the side of the case beside the button. I loved it on my 12 pro, but it just doesn’t seem the same on the 14 pro

Hey, would you be able to test the MagSafe battery pack with a MagSafe backplate? I was wondering whether the camera bump causes issues with it laying flush on the back.
Tried it out and the battery pack does lay on top of the screen lip just a bit, but it doesn’t interfere with anything and still charges perfectly!

thank you for the video! I have a question, so I bought a regular crash guard but didn't realize there wouldn't be a back part. is it possible to buy just a clear backing, is it only available for mod nx cases?
the mod nx and crashguard are the same case, only difference is the mod nx includes the back piece so yes you can buy the mod nx clear backing and it’ll work

Im really curious with its grip. How is it? I have the 14 pro max tho so the bumper case would be very bulky since the phone is already quite big itself. Awesome video Nick!!
I would say it has decent grip, nothing out of this world but it does help with the handling of the phone a bit, I used this same case on the 13 Pro Max and I don’t think it adds to much bulk so I’d recommend giving it a try, thank you for the kind words!
The grip is trash. Feels like a wet bar of soup. Returning mine.

Awesome bumper but mine seems to make the power button a little too easy to pretty. Slight grip anywhere near it results in a press or activation of Siri. And I apply it properly.
Seems like yours may be faulty, I’m not entirely sure though. Ive used this case a lot and haven’t experienced that issue with my 14 pro or my 13 pro max, maybe reach out to rhinoshield about it
Mine does too. I returned it and they replaced it and it does the same thing. It’s mushy and completely unusable. Bought a Caudabe case and didn’t look back. Love the idea of the bumper but these “floating” buttons are trash
would the screen be protected -- like the cameras and back -- if i dont use a glass protector??
yes there’s still a screen lip so you’ll be safe without a screen protector
Hi would magsafe accessories work with the impact protector. I was thinking of buying if I am going fully bumper. I would rather use impact protector instead of the sractch guard film
MagSafe accessories do still work if you use the impact protector:)

Can you use magsafe when you have the Scratch Guard Back Film?
Yes you can, it’s super thin and since it sticks directly to the back of the phone it doesn’t interfere with MagSafe, still works for wireless charging and MagSafe accessories:)

How are fingerprints on the clear backplate?
Definitely visible but I would say the same as any other clear case so not better or worse
Is the bumper part of the case slippery?
Has a decent texture on it for sure, not super grippy but I wouldn’t call it slippery either

solidsuit has an actual back cover so more protection but i really don’t like the solidsuit since the revision

Product is cheap wiggly, phone always tend to came out from the bumper. The iPhone side chrome can be easily seen after installation. Product is millimetre larger when installed, not recommend buying this.
sounds like you may have gotten a misfit or even a case for a different model than what you ordered. this case has one of the tightest fits i’ve seen on even some full cases
The clear back case is not magsafe compatible
I’m aware, as I mentioned in the video I did not order the MagSafe backplate for this video but Rhinoshield does offer a MagSafe compatible version on their site

Orrible design,and the protection is only for falls on flat surfaces
Definitely a case with a specific audience in mind, I personally run this case a ton and have dropped it plenty and always gets the job done

It protects even with some rocks😅 most of the time the phone hits one of the top corners first because of the weight of the phone, it almost always falls on a corner, and after that it has lost most of it’s momentum then it lands on the screen or bottom, so it’s protected. But even if u drop it in a full case it still does not protect the front of the phone. With my personal experience with the case, its tougher than most full cases

I have personally used this bumper on my last 3 iphones for years. Dropped many times. Never a crack or scratch. It works great. When you have no wxperience with this case you should not make a blanket statement on its capability. Only case I'll use.
Why would u do this? Get a casetify phone case. Thats what i did for my 14 pro max. This ISNT worth it.
Everyone has their own opinions and I’ll definitely be covering casetify’s cases in the near future so I can share my full thoughts on them but that’s a big part of why I love the accessory side of tech, everyone gets to pick and find something they enjoy
