@@FDBEATZZ i got a rescue that wouldn't let us get anywhere near it. I originally had trouble coaxing it to the edge of the cage to eat through the bars. A girlfriend I had was able to coax him into her hand with the spray millet. The birds still a little timid but I thought it wouldn't be possible. Go ahead and give it a try. Spray millets pretty long and it won't be detrimental if they don't take it the first couple times. Yes the bird is a budgie and will get in my hand if I have a treat. He isn't afraid to come out and let me know if he wants some of what I'm eating now either.
Stop the criticism, the cages are adequate for 2 birds if he let's them out, and the fact these budgies are happy with their owner (stepping up willingly, going in the cage willingly) shows they've had the best care.
This is not about the budgies. They are happy. It’s about the plastic perch. That’s not adequate. Regardless of the budgies mental health the plastic perch should not be there. Don’t give your budgies bumblefoot
I'm not criticizing them. I was just trying to tell them that small cages are bad and they should be in a bigger one. Yes, the birds will be fine if they're let out long enough, but there's also some other bad things he has like the plastic perches which can cause bumblefoot.

I have 17 Budgies in my family room, they have a corner with dry branches and toys, I clean their space and they love to fly longer distances. I gave up on cages.

Reminds me a lot of the budgies my sister had. She would open the cage in the morning and let them fly around whenever they wanted. But they'd always go back on their own when it was time to sleep. It's like they knew the exact time😂

You don’t want to chase them around but once they’re comfortable with your hand being near them, you can put your finger between there little tummies and feet and that’ll kinda force them to step up

Yes, they are tiny parrots but parrots nontheless and the most intelligent pet possible to own only some other parrot species might be just slightly more intelligent. They should have the biggest cage possible to afford and accomodate and so so many shreddable toys and natural perches 💘 I own bigger parrots and I see no difference in them and budgies but budgies are even more active so I think they deserve even bigger cages compared to size than my birds 🦜🦜🦜
@@hussain8776 why not? Birds should always have the biggest cage you can fit in your house and possibly afford. It's a pain to find a big enough cage for a macaw but big flight cages that budgies can enjoy so much space are easy to find and fairly affordable. Just because something is small does not mean it should be put in a cage as small as possible it makes no sense. Also those tiny plastic ones are UGLY they looks like something designed for children and they cant possibly fit enough toys and perches for birds to be happy in there. They are low qualitu ugly and even dangerous as the wire underneath the non-toxic paint is highly poisonous made from heavy metals and as you can see from the picture budgies strong beaks flake the paint off. Those exposed wires aré hughly toxic to birds. With iron cages the paint does not chip off like in these childrens toy cages.

We don't think they're rich, we aren't forcing them to buy crap, we're just trying to very calmly explain why they should get a flight cage when they can or in the future. I understand that their birds look happy and healthy, no one was assuming they were abused, just get a better one soon.
Because its incredibly selfish to get an animal you cant afford to provide a quality life for just because you want one then blame their poor life on 'but im poor I'm doing my best'. Yeah alright fine, you're poor and that sucks. Believe me I know, I've been there. The struggle to just put food on the table is crappy.... but simply don't get pets then. It sucks but you can't afford it. Its not fair to that animal. When I was unable to reliably put food on the table a pet would have made it much more bareable for me. It would have been seriously selfish though, so I had no pets. Now I'm fortunate enough to have climbed out of poverty... I've got about 50 birds that live their best life. It's not a hard concept to simply not get a pet you can't afford to care for properly.

First you need a much bigger cage and clean one. Next you need a stainless steel bowls because plastic bowls collect bacteria more easily. Also you need shredding and foraging toys to mimic what they would do in the wild . Another thing you need is natural perches because plastic and dowel perches cause arthritis bumble foot and pressure sores. Last make sure the diet is pellets 60% veggies 30% and fruit 10% as well as a mineral block or cuttlebone.

First of all i see no toys? Barely any perches and those cages are very small especially for 2 parakeets in the same one. The only thing i see that is good here that they are well tamed
That's not their cage actually.We have used different cages to shoot it .So I think we don't need many perches or toys to be there for the budgies.we do confirm that it's comfortable in it's living cage

@@pappacreations you could also do handmade/homemade toys using popsicle sticks, ladders with carved out wood..and be careful, sometimes natural wood perched have bacterias in them that are toxic and can harm your budgies health, and give splinters on their feet. Other than that, good job 👍🏻
