Not exactly, but when I was little my mom was at the grocery store and swore she saw a missing child. This was back in the days when they were featured on the back of milk cartons. She wrote down the hotline number and the next day called it. I don’t know if anything ever became of it or if it even *WAS* the child she thought she’d recognized.
I worked as a mail clerk for a public mailbox brokerage. A guy that would pick up his mail on a regular basis kept saying, "I'm going to kill my wife." I was in my early twenties and didn't think much of it. One day on the news, his mugshot was prominently featured for murder of his wife. The next day at work, we were releasing his personal information to the authorities and realized how deep of a scumbag he was. It was a tragic situation for his two boys.
The wanted poster for the Trailside Killer in California was a line-for-line picture of my old boss.
Yes, a roommate. And eventually he was caught after he came up missing for 2 months, years ago,,
When I was about 13, two guys escaped from a large medium security prison near my city, which is a city of over 300,000. 911 was constantly forgetting calls from people who thought they saw one of them. Anybody who even loosely fit the description of either one of them automatically got the cops called on them. It was madness. When school started that fall one of my classmates would tell me that he actually saw one of them get arrested. Just insane to think that happened so close to me.
I was sure when he robbed the bank a second time xD that gave me a good chuckle
I have a story that’s not necessarily someone I knew on I wanted poster but something pretty similar so one day I was in bed watching cops and the officer walks up the car followed by the camera crew. They get to the window and my freaking cousin pops on the screen, I let out the biggest OMG and practically die from laughter for about 10 minutes straight.
For context, I'm 23. I had a buddy I went to high school with and would play xbox with alot. We didnt see each other in person at all after high school, just thru xbox. Anyways, about 3 or 4 years ago (so a year or 2 after high school) I stopped hearing from him and he never got on xbox. One day, I saw a link on facebook from my citys news page, that he had been arrested for robbing a lil ceazers with a baseball bat, stole 200 dollars and 16 hot n' readys. He was caught after tripping outside the lil ceazers and dropping the pizzas, then was pinned down by the employees until the cops arrived. He was connected with robbing 3 to 5 federal credit unions totaling around 32,000 dollars. Never thought I would see that
Was chilling outside in my driveway having a beer. This gray ford expedition pulled in front of our driveway,passenger side facing me. The passenger door opens and the light in the suv comes on and I get a great look at both of them.I start walking up the drive to the suv. The passenger leans
out and pukes in the driveway. I yell out “really man? In my fucking driveway?” The passenger sits back up and says “Let’s go man,let’s get the fuck outta here.” The very next morning I was dicking around on my phone before my route. Low and behold who did I see? Those assholes at the end of my drive. They were escapees from a prison in my state. Called the sheriff’s office and gave them the vehicle description. Don’t know if I helped or not but they got pinched again soon thereafter.
While the local police were on the local station (live call in program) my son called and said he knew where one of the featured crooks was and how much the reward was if he brought him in right now. The cop on the phone (on TV) told my son they were giving bicycle helmets so he decided to forget it,,
My old neighbor was arrested for bringing a weapon to school to cause harm to another girl. This was all over a boy they both liked. I also used to attend the school before moving to a new town/county/school during covid. This happened a year or 2 ago.
A family friend was arrested for taking a joyride in a short school bus and crashing it in someone's yard through a fence. He stole the school bus from a middle school I used to attend.
The sound started chipmunking just before 17:00.

One of the main people in a book by Ann Rule came to give a class to my study group. I think I was the only one who recognized him. I didn't say anything. I felt like he wouldn't want to talk about it.
