    Straight forward process. Good demo.

    Nice. I used a 1/2" solid carbide Center drill, Then stepped up through several drills. The point was noted using center punches which are in a 64 size drill case - center is a hard spike. Slide down through the item hole that is clamped down in place and square - slide down and one blow. Then start drilling. I used my blue handle swivel and cleaned the sharp edges down a bit.
    These are in use often. I no longer hook onto the bucket - but to the hooks with a hook or chain.

    Put mine on today! Thanx Ken. I'm keeping mine the way they are, nice and shiny.

    I would suggest using some cutting oil for all of that drilling. Drills a lot faster and with less wear and tear on the bit as well as conserving battery. Easy to clean afterwards with paper towel. A 3/4" countersink bit will debur as well. Nice products. Great welds and finish treatment. You could pick that tractor up with them and swing them around before anything of yours broke.

    Excellent video! I purchased a set after seeing this video, and they installed just as shown. Too easy. I have purchased a number of other excellent items from Ken’s Bolt on and all items are more than advertised. Have some I Match chain box’s and lids coming. Can’t wait for them to arrive!

    FYI
    The one thing different is when ready to finally mounting them I would clean the surface really well and put a thin coat of silicone caulk for aquariums on the bottom of each plate and bolt them down tight, making it water tight and help prevent rust under the plates for years.

    Remember to paint drilled holes before bolting and tighten Shackle bolts with a wrench or they will vibrate loose.

    Good video, I watched the Kubota video you did too,,,those are the ones I would need. I've been trying for awhile trying to think of a way to get hooks in my bucket. This might be the answer... thanks

    I have a 3032E tractor and my bucket have two holes on it for the hooks and I am thinking of getting some to put on there. No drilling is not required so that is a plus and I want to either put on the grab hooks or order the entire attachment for the bottom of the bucket which will probably be even better.

      Sidney Mathious , I was just pulling stumps with one of those today and was thinking how much better it would be with the bucket hooks. Did you ever add them to your bucket?

    • @semco72057

    Hooks ALWAYS go inside the bucket. If a strap or chain breaks it will snap back at the hook like a sling shot. Mount the hooks inside the bucket and the bucket becomes a protection shield for you. Mount the hooks like Ken and the hooks will direct the chain straight into your face.

    Ken I ordered the bolt on hooks for my new JD 2038 Standard bucket, the dealer replace that bucket with the heavy duty bucket because they damaged the original one. My question is do I just need longer bolts to install my hooks? The upper part of the bucket is boxed in. Thank you

    Why have the loops in the bucket when you have hooks on top of the bucket? I just got a 1025r and before I add the hooks to the top, would be nice to have the loops inside if I could use them. Thanks.

    Ken, Is the hole in the clevis mount large enough to accept a larger shackle? I have 5/8 and 3/4 shackles I use with lifting straps but I'm not confident they will fit in the 1/2 shackle. Thank you!

    • @kdeckster
      @kdeckster  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are sized for 1/2" shackles only. The hole diameter is .69".

    Is it usual to use an implement that weight is over half the lifting capacity of the tractor it’s attached to?

    • @kdeckster

      eugene collins it’s sure not recommended!

    • @thekobaz
      @thekobaz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kdeckster What's not recommended? Using something that's overkill? Just because your hooks are rated to 4000+ pounds doesn't mean the loader can lift that. It just means you're not going to bend or break your hooks when using them within spec.

    These appear to be an absolutely top notch product but I cannot seem to navigate my way through the web site. Just got a new computer so it might be me. I have a Kubota with a 72 inch square back bucket with the skid steer style quick attach. The website gives me the model number but when I go to the bolt on page, I can't find where to find the model number. I can't find a phone number to call with questions, only e-mail. I really would like to order a set of these so any help here would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

      Unless you weld every few weeks with a hi-amp MIG & have practiced structural welding skills that sort of investment makes no sense. I might be talked into hauling my bucket+parts to a pro welder, but I don't see the problem with a bolt-on.
