I love how this sounds like someone is trying to play the Lost Woods theme, but they can't remember it completely. It really reflects the feel of the game.
If this track actually played during the Lost Woods in BoTW it would've been SUCH a mood changer. The depth and echo really give it a melancholic nostalgic atmosphere reaching back through all previous games up to OoT. It would've made BoTW's Lost Woods feel sooooo much more sacred and important. Really beautiful sounds, very nice job!
JenoPC Granted, that was likely intentional, seeing as the koroks are what the kokiri became. The kokiri always huddled around the Deku tree, and now that the sword is enshrined under his canopy then that means the pedestal has become the centerpiece of their 'town square' now. That being said, with the Korok now taking more after the fey/faerie of europe or the yokai of japan thematically in BotW (complete with only those with the sight being able to see them) they could have made it more distinctly different from the music style we know their tribe for, much like how the Ruto's town has definite traceable similarity to their island theme, but also very much different.
Imagine walking through the lost woods, continuously getting lost, and then finally you find the master sword. The sun shines upon the blade, making it almost appear to glow (besides the broken and dirty parts of the blade). The pedals of the white flowers surrounding the master sword float about in the air. You pull the master sword from its pedestal. As you pull it out more the white flower pedals furiously fly around you. You pull out the master sword and as you raise it into the air the flower pedals freeze in mid air. As you sheath the blade, the flower pedals fall slowly to the ground.
Listen Man, You are amazing! and i'm sure you know that, I even think you could be good enough to be working for nintendo. You could make millions, and, everyone will be able to hear your beautiful masterpieces. Sadly, it'd be really hard to get there. I don't even think it'd be possible. But i know you deserve it. Well, even f you never get there, I'l still be here with a smile. every time.
This song is beautiful. It’s kind of like how in Ocarina of time this song (the lost woods) was all happy and new and then in twilight princess the kokiri are completely gone but the soul and the memory are still there in the sacred grove at least for the skull kid. And then for breath of the wild it’s completely gone, no saria, no mido, no, skull kid but the memory is still there and will never go away. It kind of captures that essence of how depressed the hero’s shade is, having those memories locked away forever while his friends and the places around him rot away over time.
The melody of an ancient friendship plays in dying notes as yet another incarnation of the hero walks through, as he walks on he feels sad and as if he lost someone he knew, the melody feels like it's somehow losing it's power, like the friendship that it's based on is dying, the link that knew this song is long gone and barely any trace of his memory remains
The Hero of the Wild wandered through the forest, silently weaving his way among the tall, ancient trees. Sunlight spilled from above, fractions of the light casting scattered glow throughout the forest and onto his own form. Link had been wandering through the Lost Woods for some time now; not for any particular reason, though. For the most part, the forest itself was calm and serene, with the only evidence of disturbance being the breeze that would every-so-often sweep the soft grass and shake the leaves from high above. It had been a while; Link knew that much, and it was most likely time for him to resume his journey, he supposed. He had a mission, and he knew that while breaks were good, he could only do them for so long. After briefly consulting his map for the nearest exit, the “young” hero set off on a new path that he didn’t recall ever taking in the past; it wasn’t like it would matter in the long run, though. Moments turned into minutes as the once benign grass made way into dense, unkempt undergrowth, and Link definitely knew he hadn’t been in this part of the forest before. Despite his misgivings, he continued going, determined to discover whatever new enemy or secret awaited him. He abruptly found himself at the edge of a dimly-lit glade, sitting right in the middle of the forest. Stone walls overrun with ivy and moss surrounded the clearing. On the floor, at its center, was a podium with a single symbol on it: the symbol of the Royal Family. Link stared at it for a moment, in awe; how had he missed this? Suddenly, a soft melody rang through the air in front of him. Link snapped his gaze up from the inscription, tensing his muscles as his hand immediately flitted over to his sword. On the other side of the clearing was a small tree stump, and on that stump was what appeared to be a young girl with short, bright green hair that curled upwards right above her shoulders. The girl held a small, pinkish instrument in her hands, and her eyes were closed. An ocarina, Link realized; he hadn’t seen one in a long time. A fairy flitted around the girl as she played her song, and strangely, Link was hit a strong wave of deja vu. He’d never seen this girl before and yet...she felt so familiar to him. He felt as though he knew her. As if realizing the man’s presence, the girl stopped playing and she flitted open her eyes, and a brilliant shade of sapphire met Link’s clear blue gaze. Link gasped softly as he blinked; he knew those eyes. From where he didn’t remember, or he didn’t know. But just as it started, it abruptly stopped, and Link suddenly realized he was alone in the glade. The girl nor her fairy were anywhere to be found. As Link hesitantly approached the tree stump, none of the grass surrounding it had been flattened from where the girl had sat; it was as if she were never there.
↑ Understatement! You reproduce the Breath of the Wild style perfectly by slowing down the original theme, while you give it a personal / unique touch too.
This song makes me feel like It's saria herself is gently guiding you through the lost forest with all the love and care in the world and a dash of melancholy
I've been listening to this on repeat all week, so gorgeous. I'd love to hear more slow and broken BOTW reinterpretations of classic OOT melodies like the title theme, sheik's theme or the song of time!
As I read Alex's Comment, I could help but feel like the person their talking about would be Oot Link when he's about to become the Hero's Shade and he's trying to play Saria's song one last time, but can't fully remember it anymore.
after hearing this i'm really sad that her song is not in the game at all...she's not even referenced, nothing...only a small lake called "lake saryia"...
Amazing! This kind of gives me a sad or calm vibe, that would play in a movie if they ever did decide to make a Zelda movie. Like this would play when Saria was telling something about her past, or it could play when Link just defeated a boss.
a very personnal touch in the musical approach, that's what lack in many nintendo music covers... and Tundra sounds like an amazing library... congratulations for being able to fit it very well
The constant humming and buzzing of the strings REALLY reminds me of a theme or two from Fez, which has an amazing soundtrack. Just like this cover is amazing!
I love this music, some times I'll use it to help myself fall asleep, but most of all it makes me feel like this is the last zelda game with a sad vibe to it, I love this music so much and I want to thank you for making it.
Your rendition is so serene and soothing -- a quiet, tranquil melody, sublime and pristine for meditation, reading, writing, relaxing, and even solemnly comforting in the midst of a migraine episode. Thank you for this -- your music is like painting with sound and is truly an august respite from the suffering of day-to-day life. Listening to your work is a wondrous cleansing of the spirit.
The talented fans of the franchise TLoZ are the ones who make the experience of every new game even better. Your videos get me more and more hyped about what's going on
Fantastic music! Keep up the great work. I'm excited to see what the Lost woods will be like in Breath of the Wild and this captures what I envisioned perfectly.
This reminds me of a dream I once had as a kid while playing Twilight Princess. I was in the Sky Temple leaping from platform to platform, and the wind was strong enough that I glided like I was flying. I could feel the cold air on my face, in my hair, buffeting my clothes. Thank you for helping me remember.
Listening to this while looking at the sky, as the wind gently blows through my hair... it's just wonderful. Those Maj7 chords, wow. Breath of the Wild? More like "breath-taking". Kudos!
why can't Nintendo just hire you already ! I honestly hated how there was no main title screen music - you made some and I loved it and I hated the lost woods theme- BUT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT AND A GREAT THROWBACK TO THE PAST - Nintendo hire this dude
Am I the only one who's actually crying from like all of these fanmade songs? One of the first games I ever played as a kid was skyward sword (the one everybody hates for some reason ._.), but I've slowly made my way down the list of Zelda games and they really are a big reason why I'm a gamer. To hear all of these nostalgic songs in such a calming way it just hits you in the feels. Also side note, I know what I'm going to use for mettatation for now on. XD
This reminds me of the Sacred Forest from Twilight Princess, but whereas that one had a kind of creepy undertone, as the forest was still haunted by the skull kid, this one is completely calm. It doesn’t even sound like the Deku tree is present anymore. Just a vast, deep forest.
absolutely stunning! i was working on a piece myself and strinkingly enough i nearly had the same tone when i heard this and decided to change things up a bit so it doesn't seem like i copied you lol either way, you captured this beautifully
Im walking through a deep wood. The fog clouds my vision, but a voice... ... it beckons me to come closer... ...The trees creek and sway as light dances through the fallen leaves... ... a familiar rustling of deku nuts and giggles flutter through the air... ...they call to me... it calls to me... ...i make my way through the wood and the mulching slowly turns to stone... smooth... untouched by time... ... it is there... i feel it... ... the closer i get... the closer to home, i become... ...until i see it... ...the glistening light of the metal, forged by sacred fire... ... i-i know this feeling... ... a feeling of hope... a feeling of light... it brings courage to my heart... ... my old friend... oh how long you've been waiting... I LOVE IT, you represent the game so well, with the broken, slow and sad feel of the game. Like a thought of a time long ago! Amazing!
Can you just redo like every single Zelda song in this style and release it as a 10 hour long video because that would be 10/10 100

うおお…なんか神聖でガチの迷いの森感?あって素敵です……幻想的…😍✨❤️

Good job.
I don't even have to watch the video to know it's going to be awesome!
↑ Understatement!

Not even 1 minute in and it's already perfect. Subbed!
Jesus this is so good. I'm gonna be mad if the real theme in the game is not at least this good.
You sure captured the tone of the game, man.
Risu64 So... I guess you got pretty mad when you heard the actual Lost Woods theme from the game.
The actual Lost Woods theme is reminiscent on the one in Link to the Past, which I love :P
So beautiful!! Thanks for doing these. ^_^
Thanks so much! You are more than welcome! :)
ClefferNotes I wish this was the music in breath of the wild lost woods. it's slow and broken but beautiful. realy to beautiful for words great job.
Truly amazing, Truly serene.
Oh my god I'm actually crying this is hitting me right in the feels oh god
This song makes me feel like It's saria herself is gently guiding you through the lost forest with all the love and care in the world and a dash of melancholy
Better than the actual games track for Lost Woods!!

That doesnt mean shes forgotten
And Lake Mido, reffering to Saria's best friend, and Lake/Island Mekar, referring to Makar from Wind Waker :]
This is unbelievably beautiful, you've made something indescribable.
This is truly a masterpiece. It captures the nature of Botw perfectly.
Amazing! This kind of gives me a sad or calm vibe, that would play in a movie if they ever did decide to make a Zelda movie. Like this would play when Saria was telling something about her past, or it could play when Link just defeated a boss.
Oh my God! Imagine this music in the forest with a waterfall near! That Will Be AWESOME! :O

Oh yes! Finally another BoTW one :D Dude, you're great at music and captured the style so well!
SEND THIS TO NINTENDO PLEASE, OR AT LEAST GET HIRED THIS IS TOO GOOD
Oh my god... That song is so deep, penetrates our soul. Gives peace and harmony.
I heard those strings and I knew it was Albion V: Tundra. You get the actual style of BotW's impressionistic music, good job!!!
I wish that all the fan made music could be sent to Nintendo and they would put it in some areas in the next patch.
The talented fans of the franchise TLoZ are the ones who make the experience of every new game even better. Your videos get me more and more hyped about what's going on
Thanks so much Melissa! I am so excited for Breath of the Wild!! :)
I keep running into your work, and am always pleasantly surprised. Seen a comment saying nintendo should hire you. Couldnt agree more!
I can feel the good sensation of running into this forest with this song and the wind on the face... So good °M°
I wish this had played in the Lost Woods in BotW. Musical throwbacks to previous games were one of the things botW lacked.
Very soothing and beautiful!
This is gorgeous ! really captures the spirit of the music of the game as far as we know ;)
Fantastic music! Keep up the great work. I'm excited to see what the Lost woods will be like in Breath of the Wild and this captures what I envisioned perfectly.

Glass Gazer are you sure that wasn't skyward sword?
Absolutely. (: This was several years before SS came out.
You really have a rich ear for this kinda of sound. Something deep from the soul is poured into these melodies..
Thanks so much! That means a lot! :)
Listening to this while looking at the sky, as the wind gently blows through my hair... it's just wonderful. Those Maj7 chords, wow. Breath of the Wild? More like "breath-taking".
Kudos!
Now the game is out, I can say the original BotW Lost woods is so nice, but this is so gorgeus! Congrats!
Not what I was originally searching for, but I think this is beautiful!
why can't Nintendo just hire you already ! I honestly hated how there was no main title screen music - you made some and I loved it and I hated the lost woods theme- BUT THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT AND A GREAT THROWBACK TO THE PAST - Nintendo hire this dude
So elegant and peaceful yet so eerie. I love a unique piece of art.
Great fit for Albion V, it sounds fantastic.
This is absolutely beautiful! Keep up the outstanding work, you're truly brilliant :D
Thats just...fantastic. Wow,well Done!
Instantly got chills! So amazing!
This gives me shivers it's so good
Honestly, I might have to jailbreak my switch just to mod this into the game
The Saria's theme segment sounds like it was inspired by Xander Leonis' cover of the song. Great choice if it was.
This is so beautiful. I could listen to this for hours. So very well done. :)
man, this is beautiful ! i love it
My windy into lives! 😄 great job with the track man, love it ❤
YASSS! Thank you so much, I love it :3
I heard the music on Cryzens video i instantly subscribed this is one of those songs that goes on repeat
Am I the only one who's actually crying from like all of these fanmade songs? It's awesome ! We recognise Saria's Song, but with the amazingness of BotW's theme !

This almost makes me think of some sort of star field. Like... SPACE Lost Woods.
Come. Let us once again shear through the dark and cast our light upon our home...
Let us reclaim the remnants of hyrule...
