- I head out for an easy solo Friday adventure ride on the T7, but in usual MVDBR style things go a little pear shaped. Farmers start busting caps, private property and locked gates galore, all topped off by a fumbled hill climb. Fkn mint day out in the beautiful Mary Valley on the big black beast, hope you enjoy the video.

rode that section a few weekends ago… no council signs. Just new gates on a gazetted road. Few washouts at creek sections and no sign as you exit on to the main road either.
It's no secret that those cnts have been trying to get that track locked up for years, but until I see some legit council signs I won't be deterred 😎 Thanks mate I did think it was an 8 or 9 point dismount 😁👌

Great ride, mate! I wouldn't dare to ride up some of those tracks alone, all the more on a T7. You'd made several very brave decisions there! Your videos are pure joy to watch when I can't go riding myself due to cold weather and rains. Hope in 2 weeks I'll be opening my riding season at last.

Nice video. Great day exploring. I’ve had similar experiences on gazetted roads, with angry landholders. I think the problem arises when the local council stops maintaining the road, which is very common, so the landholder who owns all the surrounding land starts looking the road, gates and fences with their own money. Then after 20 years or so, they believe it’s their land, but legally it isn’t. Can’t argue with a bloke holding a gun. Cheers
You'll have to let me know if ya still wanna get together for a ride sometime mate will just have to set a date and run with it or shit never happens! But yeah you're right those fuckers have been trying to get that closed off for years and years, every time we go through there lately there's another closed gate to get through 🙄

Really like the slightly wider friction zone that clutch kit creates too. Combined with the lighter pull & finesse modulating is heaps better than stock. Glad you’re happy with it, mate!
Mate it's all positives, pity Yam and other manufacturers can't get it right out of the box but hey, it gives blokes like Cory an opportunity to fill gaps and make a living out of it 👌

Lucky you did this ride on the friday, made an attempt to do the Mount Buggery road on the saturday morning, after the big storm on friday night, that creek crossing was way up and impassable and had to go up the Kandanga road to reach the Murgon - Kilcoy Road to be confronted with huge trees down everywhere, made it an awesome ride trying to navigate our way to Crows Nest, like a different world full of carnage on the saturday. what a difference one day makes. Awesome vid as always

At least you didn't get seriously injured on that hill climb bit. Heck you found a lot of private property and locked gates. As for the guy shooting that's a worry. To find out about that road, try talking to your local council's LPO's ( Lands Protection Officers ) explain what happened and ask them if they can tell you any info about it such as public access, who owns or leases the land etc etc. If it is state forest or national park land, try the nearest Rangers office. Given it was all sprayed it may have been sprayed by the council's LPO's but it could have also been sprayed by a farmer if it's private property with a public road going through it. Be careful out there mate, there are some crazies

Lot of the state forests are public land leased by HQ Plantations for growing pine, this particular area I'm not sure about some of it's private property but the roads are public 😎 Cheers

Well I don't feel as frustrated with Private Property now. To be honest I never encountered so many closed gates and typically can work my way around private property with a single detour.
Carry a small bungy cord with you. You can wrap it around the brake lever, so the front brake is engaged when you need to pick up the bike. It'll help if the bike wants to roll.

What’s the story with the road just after where you turned onto the gazetted road with old shotgun mate. There are signs saying no public entry? Good video mate. That a good little track.
Not sure what the deal is with that section but it's been closed ever since I first went through that area a couple years ago, not sure why. Did sneak through there once coming down the hill and didn't see any reason for it being closed 🤷♂️
Up around Black snake one time and a bloke wanders onto the track with a rifle.

Love it Joe, if you didn't know apparently the Klim Krios is a rebranded Nishua Carbon just 3x the price. My large weighed just 1300g before I added cameras and shit, so quite light. Have put mine though the wringer and it's still in good working order, will definitely be getting another when the time comes 👌 Only thing that sucks is there's only one colour option, good old carbon fibre.
Gotta ask, are you still riding the 5hundo at all??? Gifted myself a t7 recently and wondering what will be the fate of my beloved 500... after seeing your vids i'm afraid it will collect the dust..
Held onto the little bikes for 6 months or so after we got the advs, they weren't getting much use so sold em for covid prices to help fund our house deposit 👌 No regrets here, although Nat keeps saying she misses the 350.
It looks like that gazetted road has been recently sprayed by council to kill the grass, seems open to me. Not an expert but you definately cannot shoot across a gazetted road or from a gazetted road, not sure how far from it you need to be though to shoot

Ive been trying to pin down info on legit council signage vs madeup.. there will be copy right legalities to stop land owners "notices" supposedly tresspassing folks.. so anyone warning you away would have to be able to provide papers authorising them or the sign legitimising it. I would have thought council or govt agencies would have to incl a dept crest or logo to show its formal.. but havent any luck on that

Generally, Crown public roads provide access to freehold and leasehold land where little or no subdivision has occurred since the original Crown subdivision of NSW in the early nineteenth century.

@@MVDBR there'll be some minor differences dependent on local council bylaws that might apply to a specific road or public land.. its all based on the same rights of access english laws our countries were founded on.. the important consistency is.. if its a surveyed rd.. paper road.. not an "easement".. whether its a formed road or not.. they carry the same rights for vehicles or pedestrians.. incl shooting near a public road & road rules.. what Ive not been able to get an answer to.. is WHAT'S an official sign.. I'd have thought.. there should have been regulations(law) that ensured copyright.. like a council crest or logo so WE can tell.. anyway.. anyone claiming authority.. HAS to be able to prove it to you on demand

I did email council about the alleged 'closed road' and they knew nothing about it, so obvious BS. I also mentioned the gun being discharged but they didn't say anything about that, and yeah I couldn't be bothered going to the police with it. Cheers
