So so sorry Marie, I know we sometimes have to make horribly sad choices, when it comes to our animal babies. I have had to make those choices more than I care to remember. But we make the choices because we don’t want them to suffer. And I think they feel or sense our pain at having to make those decisions. I have no doubts that their spirits stay with us. I have seen spirit leave an animal before, and that makes it a little easier to know that they are still around, or at least going to a better place, where they can be free of pain and happy. Everyone’s beliefs of death is different, but I know what I have seen, and it eases the grief a little knowing that they are not gone,gone, just no longer visible. We have a wonderful creator, who created all living souls out of energy, and energy never dies. Much love and prayers for you and your fur babies.

We had to put our 8 year old rescue dog, Sophie, down a few months ago and while it was super hard and I miss her terribly - it was absolutely the right thing to do. I have been there and it is one of the hardest things to do, but I would so much rather have them be comfortable and know they are loved as they pass than have one go down and have to make that choice with them in so much pain. Oh Marie, I am so sorry for y’all, double tragedy. I am so sorry to hear about Rapunzel, that was a huge shock! We’ve had to choose the passing date for 2 cats and 2 dogs and it’s brutal. I think I almost prefer it because we can prepare ourselves as much as we can and I can guarantee that I’m with them loving on them and telling them how much they meant to me and how much I loved them and will miss them. We had one cat that didn’t come in as usual at night so my sister, I am eternally grateful that she was living with us at the time, and I went looking for him and found him in the field behind our house, that was more traumatizing because it was out of the blue. I wasn’t there for his passing, didn’t get to tell him what a special cat he was, he was truly unique and much loved. We just had 2 of our feral cats we’ve cared for disappear in the last 6 months and it’s difficult not knowing what happened to them. As a steward of animals it’s our duty to make sure they are well cared for and thankfully the laws allow us to make sure they don’t suffer. With animals like Sassy who live longer lives it is always going to be so much harder because the bond is stronger and there are more memories. You will be able to do something to make each day remaining more precious. If she could she would thank you, like you said how do we want to spend our last days? I don’t know one person who would choose suffering, I still don’t know why we can’t give humans the same courtesy. Just know that you’ll have 17k+ people grieving with you and wishing Sassy happiness as she crosses the rainbow bridge and who are now just as sad about Rapunzel. I can’t wait for next spring to see her flowers blooming. Sending 💕

I'm new to the channel, and I just want to give you a big hug and sit out in the field and let you share your babies stories with me. Bless your precious heart. It's not easy to say bye and certainly not easy when we know it's coming, BUT that hardship is a testimony of who they are to our hearts. It bears witness to a love shared between us and another, including our animals, our pets, our furry friends, our heart kiddos! When it hurts it shows how good they have loved us and the depths of our love for them. The GIFT of love shared between us and them. God gave us charge over the animals and in their ways He created them to love us back and when we have to say goodbye, He is the first one in line to wrap His loving arms around us, hold us close and whisper Thank You for being such a good steward to those He has blessed us with. So, although I'm new here, I will certainly lift you in prayer, and send you a huge virtual hug from my heart to yours and ask God to hold onto you a little closer. Time does NOT "heal" every wound, to say and pretend it does is simply dishonest, instead, we learn to live with the changes cherish their memories with all our being but there is always a mark that is on our hearts called a scar. So very sorry.our horse had cushings and laminitis as well.6 years we tried.in 2020 we laid her to rest.the day before her our dog of 14.5 years from cancer.now this Feb my cat of 17 years,thyroid and kidney and last week Thursday our yorkie of 14.5.demingia.always so hard when you do it ahead of suffering.but you love them so much to give them the best life and death.❤❤❤❤
Marie I am so sorry that you lost Rapunzel losing an animal is never easy showing you care is natural and we all Need to cry it’s a way of letting go. Don’t ever apologise for that. You gave her such a happy life right from when you brought her home. She loved you and was obvious to see her bond with you and follow you around also. I know you will miss her terribly. As you will with Sassy when her time comes. I totally agree with you about choosing an end date. I’ve had to do that with a few of my dogs. My dogs always choose their own end date, when I could see them suffering I knew it was time. Rapunzel was a truly beautiful goat and I’m so sad that she died but you didn’t say who is the baby able to survive or not I’m assuming not since she didn’t mention it I’m so sorry I really truly enjoyed watching her. I too have had to put animals down and I was stupid enough to let my dog suffer with congestive heart failure and I swore never again after watching this beautiful sweet dog suffer I understand where you’re coming from and God bless you and I don’t know if you believe in the rainbow bridge but I have to believe that they’re all up there waiting for us

I understand the difficulty of choosing the end date with the animals we are steward over. I have had to make that decision 3 times now and it was hard all three times. I pray that you will find peace as you say that final goodbye. May you have the best of their memories in your heart when you visit your garden of final rest with them.

It’s just like what horse plus said in one of there episode.to do what is wright for the animal even if it’s means the last act of kindness.because you don’t want it to stay around just because you want it there or will miss seeing it a lot of people will tend to do that to there animals .but you got to do what is best for the animal.no since and have it suffering just so you can see every single day.but I know what you are going through.because I’ve already lost a bunch of animals on my farm this year.rosey my special needs chicken who lived a good 8 years,Paris another chicken.my favorite rooster lucky who died a few weeks ago.I also had to rehome my rescued cow and donkey.it was hard to see them go I gave them a great life but where she was living was not ideal she was staying at my cousins farm.and things were not like what they seemed not mad at my cousins.for what they did .but getting rid of hr was the best thing for them doing what was right for there needs was best.but luckily I still get to see them from time to time because they now live at my aunts farm.but you will get through this tough time.there is always light at the ending of the tunnel somewhere.
I do totally understand. I’m sorry about your babies. My best friend of 35 years passed away 5/12/18. I had a boxer she was getting up there she was around 16. She was telling me she was done. Coming around a year after my friends one year passing date. I took her to the vet one year to the day of my best friends death and had her put to sleep. Pretty sure that’s the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.

Marie, My heart goes out to you. I know it's tough and I hope God will hold you during this time. I'm new to the channel, and I just want to give you a big hug and sit out in the field and let you share your babies stories with me. Bless your precious heart. It's not easy to say bye and certainly not easy when we know it's coming, BUT that hardship is a testimony of who they are to our hearts. It bears witness to a love shared between us and another, including our animals, our pets, our furry friends, our heart kiddos! When it hurts it shows how good they have loved us and the depths of our love for them. The GIFT of love shared between us and them. God gave us charge over the animals and in their ways He created them to love us back and when we have to say goodbye, He is the first one in line to wrap His loving arms around us, hold us close and whisper Thank You for being such a good steward to those He has blessed us with.
So, although I'm new here, I will certainly lift you in prayer, and send you a huge virtual hug from my heart to yours and ask God to hold onto you a little closer. Time does NOT "heal" every wound, to say and pretend it does is simply dishonest, instead, we learn to live with the changes cherish their memories with all our being but there is always a mark that is on our hearts called a scar.

So very sorry.our horse had cushings and laminitis as well.6 years we tried.in 2020 we laid her to rest.the day before her our dog of 14.5 years from cancer.now this Feb my cat of 17 years,thyroid and kidney and last week Thursday our yorkie of 14.5.demingia.always so hard when you do it ahead of suffering.but you love them so much to give them the best life and death.❤❤❤❤

Need to cry it’s a way of letting go. Don’t ever apologise for that. You gave her such a happy life right from when you brought her home. She loved you and was obvious to see her bond with you and follow you around also. I know you will miss her terribly. As you will with Sassy when her time comes. It’s hard putting an animal to sleep but it’s a privilege too so the animal doesn’t suffer more than it has to. please take care love and prayers God bless 💕🙏

I totally agree with you about choosing an end date. I’ve had to do that with a few of my dogs. My dogs always choose their own end date, when I could see them suffering I knew it was time. I just hate it when people use a statement like I’m not ready to let them go in my eyes they are just making them suffer even more. Marie I was crying right along with you on both of your babies. Rapunzel was a truly beautiful goat and I’m so sad that she died but you didn’t say who is the baby able to survive or not I’m assuming not since she didn’t mention it I’m so sorry I really truly enjoyed watching her. I too have had to put animals down and I was stupid enough to let my dog suffer with congestive heart failure and I swore never again after watching this beautiful sweet dog suffer I understand where you’re coming from and God bless you and I don’t know if you believe in the rainbow bridge but I have to believe that they’re all up there waiting for us

I understand the difficulty of choosing the end date with the animals we are steward over. I have had to make that decision 3 times now and it was hard all three times.
I pray that you will find peace as you say that final goodbye. May you have the best of their memories in your heart when you visit your garden of final rest with them.

My condolences Marie. I know how hard it is to have to let our beloved fur family members go, but as a steward it is the last gift we can give them. Saving them from the suffering they would have to endure. Sassy will be grateful you did that for her.

It’s just like what horse plus said in one of there episode.to do what is wright for the animal even if it’s means the last act of kindness.because you don’t want it to stay around just because you want it there or will miss seeing it a lot of people will tend to do that to there animals .but you got to do what is best for the animal.no since and have it suffering just so you can see every single day.but I know what you are going through.because I’ve already lost a bunch of animals on my farm this year.rosey my special needs chicken who lived a good 8 years,Paris another chicken.my favorite rooster lucky who died a few weeks ago.I also had to rehome my rescued cow and donkey.it was hard to see them go I gave them a great life but where she was living was not ideal she was staying at my cousins farm.and things were not like what they seemed not mad at my cousins.for what they did .but getting rid of hr was the best thing for them doing what was right for there needs was best.but luckily I still get to see them from time to time because they now live at my aunts farm.but you will get through this tough time.there is always light at the ending of the tunnel somewhere.
I do totally understand. I’m sorry about your babies. My best friend of 35 years passed away 5/12/18. I had a boxer she was getting up there she was around 16. She was telling me she was done. Coming around a year after my friends one year passing date. I took her to the vet one year to the day of my best friends death and had her put to sleep. Pretty sure that’s the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.
