Zoho just released a very cool updated version of their client portal. In the previous version the client portals looked horrible, functionality was off and was nothing like Zoho CRM. I am absolutely on board for the new update, and I will show you a few reasons why.

thanks lior. this is helpful. is meetings module available yet to share with client on portal? This is frustrating as would be great for them to see all their past and upcoming appointments. And secondly, do you have to share notes module in the portal? It looks like I cant disable it. thanks in advance.
You are correct. From what under it’s not possible. I will take it to zoho. Maybe something can be done
I have a question regarding the Portal. I'm looking to give my outside reps access to the our Zoho leads and deals within their territories. Would this be possible through portal? I'm getting mixed answers.
You can. BUT, you will need to pay for portal users. The free portal do not have leads access.

No idea. I will try to get some answers from zoho.

@@smallbusinessautomation you can still do that by redirect your domain to the portal url. The user will no be able to see the actual Zoho portal url.

Hi Lior, can we have portal users to see the related lists records like: tasks, ongoing activities etc.
Good question. Need to pay with it. I am not working with portals so much so can’t tell. But it’s a great question.
Can client upload files into the client portal and also use as a communication tool for ongoing project communications?
Not sure the client portal is strong enough to assist you in those cases.
Is this portal allow filter to specific vendor and their client?
It is for Contacts in nature. Pls play with it and see if it works as you want it to.
Looks very promising, but when looking to share contact information with a vendor, I am only presented with adding contacts. If I want to invite a vendor, that is a separate portal?
Good question.
The vendor is the company that the vendor works at. So you always have a contact. Some contacts will be clients with accounts and some vendors. I hope it makes sense.
I am very interested to know if in this portal I can create a download ability for our clients to download their medical documents.
Thats a good one. I am sure that it can be done using a URL that is view only. Click on it open a workdrive with download option.
@@smallbusinessautomation Hi Lior, a very very very major issue with the customer portal, please do not use / I created 2 canvases, one canvas for the customer portal and my regular canvas that I use myself / well the big big big big big issue is that I found that my customers also have access to my own canvas. they are not only able to access the portal with the canvas that is assigned to them but also to my own canvas that is specifically designed for our company side. At first I thought it was an error then I found that it is the way it is.

Wow. Are you sure the permissions are set properly for the Canvas? Anything Zoho said about that?
