Back then I got the album and listened to this song pretty much every day. Now, in 2024, I watch this video just as often - just can't get enough of Baillie Walsh. ❤️🔥👄
Three Gorgeous singers, from my Era. I was 22 when bananarama belted out this terrific hit in (1987), very nostalgic sound to this song, I LOVE BANANARAMA!!💙💙💙👏👍👍🐐...
Everyone's talking about Bruno in the middle but it's Baillie Walsh on the left for me my God is he smokin' in this. He's had an even more prolific career than Bruno. He was the director of Abba's Voyage show.
@@Aysgarth1 not true 80's? This thing that was literally made in the 80's? There's no such thing as true or false 80's unless it was made to look like the 80's in another decade. But yes it is trash 😂
Good song! It's amazing to see how far the Bananarama girls have come since their early days, when they were background singers for Fun Boy Three. Bruno Tonioli (of Dancing With The Stars fame) appears to have choreographed this dance routine, as it bears his distinctive touch. That is also him in the back row there.
The Music was great, the live gigs were great, alcohol prices were shockingly cheap compared to today, but the era itself sucked gigantic balls. That being said, it’s amazing looking back how for a society with so little (again - compared to now), we managed to make every moment count. While the digital age has pushed us all forward in many ways, I think many of us from that time would take those negative aspects over modern culture’s over-reliability on tech any day given the opportunity (for one: no bloody phones at live shows, just being in the moment and savouring it was a very different experience). Now, due to everything being instantly available everywhere all at once, there’s no surprise anymore. While that’s great [and arguably vital for things like News and global events], the way Entertainment is consumed has definitely changed and largely suffered because of it. I think that’s why Artists like Beyoncé have tried to resurrect a little of that, understanding that anticipation and excitement are powerful tools and by harnessing the power of the unexpected they can make a much greater impact with their art and output. Sure, it’s kinda great that the playing field has been levelled now and every and anyone can be a star (well, maybe some - and only in their own minds, sure) but the era of Superstars was truly something else and very difficult to convey to a generation who’ve never known any other way of consuming Music other than instantly, on demand. Rightly or wrongly, people like Prince, Michael Jackson and Madonna (all of whom were born in the same year which I always found kinda wild in and of itself…) were revered like Demi-Gods in the 80’s. Truly, they were Titans and then some. It’s kinda sad there are so few Artists now I can think of who even tap into that alluring mystique. I’m not even a big Beyoncé fan, but I respect the hell out of her for understanding all of that stuff and constantly trying to bring as much of that same magic to her own fan base. It really matters.
I'd forgotten about this track. It's such fun. Cant believe the audience just stood there like wooden planks and didn't dance. How boring. Love the moves with this song.
It’s because it’s in the studio and it’s actually not loud at all. Also Australian audiences were more into pub rock. This fluff coming out from the UK was not cool 😂
Dancer in the middle is Bruno Tonioli who was a judge in Strictly Come Dancing and you will also see him in Elton Johns video for I'm Still Standing filmed in, I think, Cannes.
The oiled-up eye candy in the background is so successful in distracting from the ladies that I identified a mistake from the guy in the middle at 1:58. He forgot to do the spinning arm motion and skipped ahead. 😅
Quintessential music of the 1980's. 🤗 I love this era. 🤩 Pop bands with the poppiest pop music ever, catchy dance tunes with memorable lyrics. ☺️ This girl band had it all, great singers, good songs and cute hot boy dancers. 😍 😚 What more could you want? 🤷♂️ 🥰
I like Bananarama and this song has been my favourite. I have already seen this video millions of times and I feel I am less straight. I totally understood how a male becomes a gay. This video is so powerful.
Great to see such fantastic video quality and a fab performance by the girls. Sara was really enjoying herself, check 1:53 for a cute moment. Keren also lights up for the camera. But its interesting how Sib ignores the camera completely.
Keren was having the most fun to me. I like how she taps her background dancer as he walks past her. I don't think Sib was crazy about the pop direction they were heading in, and maybe that's reflected here.
I remember watching this for hours on VHS and the tape actually wore out. I knew all the dance moves. I bet if I watched it two or three times and I could do the whole thing I haven’t done it in 40 years. 😂😂😂😂

I born in ‘81. This song was part of my childhood during the late 80s. I’m so glad I got to experience most of it. I always thought the brunette was the best looking of the three. This song was in the movie Disorderlies starring The Fat Boys.
Easily one of the best songs of the 80s. I’ve always loved this choreography from the song’s video. And yes that dancer on the left is incredibly hot!!! 🔥🔥🔥 sadly we can’t get a good view of the guy on the right.
They are so good looking!
The singers are good too.
Sexy babes, with bush!
