That depends on the party in a way. For kids it is home made pizzas that they get to make. For adults: casual party either mini pigs-in-a-blanket or baked beans; formal party whipped garlic taters or garlic roasted new taters as well as bacon wrapped spicy asparagus either grilled or baked. Of course, there are a myriad of other things depending on the type of party, lol.
We normally do lumpia, barbecue pork on a stick, lemon pepper and buffalo wings with cookies, pies and cheesecakes. Definitely going to try these ribs!
Looking for ribs recipes and I knew just where to go. Thank you. I forgot how much your vids make me smile. I am making these as I type. I remember Y2K. The thing that was supposed to shut down the world. I think it's pretty eerie that unbeknownst to all of us we were on the brink of experiencing our word actually shutting down. It still seems so unreal to think back on it all.
Thank you Flo and Dude, for the well wishes. I’m looking forward to a few new recipes from Flo and watching Dude’s tastes. Hoping for a wonderful New Years for you and your family and that God blesses us in the new year!
So, I made these ribs for me and my cousin on 4/5/20. I was able to find the exact cut of ribs here at my local Costco in Delaware. This recipe is amazing. Can't wait for an excuse to make them again. I did add a Tbsp of brown sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoon of five spice to my rub.
Happy New Year Flo and Dude! Thank you for all the wonderful recipes you shared with us this past year. I can't wait to try these ribs, hubby will love them too.
I got smart and grabbed a snack before watching. So glad I did too! Man oh man that looks so yummy! I bet broccoli cooked in all that sauce would be so good too. Ah man, I don't think the snack is working anymore. LOL Have a great New Year and may God bless y'all immensely in 2020!
Happy New Year, Dude and Dudess (Flo 😂). I'm not much of a rib person, but these, I think I would make. They look and sound yummy! Looking forward to 2020 and tons of new recipes and maybe cookbook #3! 😉
I found that to get 1 tsp of ground pepper, I can start with about 2/3 tsp of whole peppercorns ground in my spice grinder. I use this when I need a lot of pepper, like for pepper steak.
I made this yesterday and it’s absolutely amazing. 1 cup of honey is a tiny bit too sweet for me but that’s just a personal preference. Adding some cumin powder on top of the ribs when eating makes them extra amazing!!!
Happy 2020 to you and your family ! May you have continued blessings of health & wealth ! And, of course continued success in all your future endeavors. I will be making this for New Year's Eve. I was just thinking of what other "finger foods" I can serve (less clean up after the party) and thought about checking out your channel. Well, as always you come through Flo :)
I tried cooking some babyback ribs in my 3 Qt. Instant Pot and they turned out perfectly, and I broiled them in the oven for 7 minutes and then devoured them. The bones was even soft and when I started eating them and I loved how delicious they was and plan on making more of them and maybe some other types of dishes as well in the pot. Dude must have really enjoyed the ribs you made and at many more.
Flo, Dude and family. God bless you all, happy new year, may you have continue beautiful blessings, health, wealth, peace, love etc. Flo, Flo, Flo oh my goodness, that looks so good, delicious, yummy, I think I gain weight just watching. LOL.
so i recently tried that chicken congee receipt of yours in instant pot. it was good but i can't believe what a volume of food it generated lol so we were stuck eating congee for like 3 day straight...
This looks so so so good! Cannot wait to try this. I hope my Costco’s has this types of ribs, but I also may ask the butcher at the Amish market I go to to cut it like this!! Thanks Flo!! Also Happy New Year to you and your family!!
My sister forgot to take out the roast from the freezer , so guess what we had for Xmas dinner ! Those ribs , simply delicious 😋, thank you for being my plan B !
Hi Flo, I love your channel, your husband is adorable and you are too, this recipe, omg I can't wait to make it, just the way you did it looks so yummy, thanks for sharing
These look so good! I just got my first Instant Pot, and BBQ ribs were the first thing I did, and they were great! Now I want to make these. I will just do a regular rack of ribs I think. Does your oven have a high and low setting for the broiler, if yes, which did you use?
I remember Y2K. It was the year I turned to 10 shows my age LOL. This is definitely what I'm trying for dinner tonight. I've done a stovetop version of this before.
They do look delicious. Flo, have you thought of using Bourbon in your recipes? I'd like to see that. I go to tastings often. I have quite the collection!!! Those ribs would taste great with Bourbon also.
The ribs in black bean sauce did not need to be grilled and I was serving it in the bowl it was cooked in. I have way more ribs here than would fit into that bowl.
He is not nice they looked so good then the last bite he turned and we have to see just how perfect your ribs really are even though we are watching your video. Love both of you keep up the videos. 😃
We served this at our party and ended up with no leftovers! What's your go-to party dish? Happy Sunday!

My broiler goes up to 550°F so that’s what I used.
@@FloLum Okay, cool. That would be my high setting then.
I remember Y2K. It was the year I turned to 10 shows my age LOL. This is definitely what I'm trying for dinner tonight. I've done a stovetop version of this before.
WOW that looks so good, ive done racks in the Instant Pot and grilled.Never did them this way, going to try it.Thanks Flo and Dude
What is a broiler?
They do look delicious. Flo, have you thought of using Bourbon in your recipes? I'd like to see that. I go to tastings often. I have quite the collection!!! Those ribs would taste great with Bourbon also.
How many minutes in the oven?
Curious why you used a bowl for ribs in black bean sauce - could you have added all honey mixture into the bowl? Then grilled ..
The ribs in black bean sauce did not need to be grilled and I was serving it in the bowl it was cooked in. I have way more ribs here than would fit into that bowl.
Thank you too is what The Dude meant
He is not nice they looked so good then the last bite he turned and we have to see just how perfect your ribs really are even though we are watching your video. Love both of you keep up the videos. 😃
Not gonna lie - I’ve been intimidated by ribs in the IP. (Or at all) So thanks - I got to try this! Blessings in the new year, friends! 😊
What did you use to cut the ribs in half with.
They came like that.
I always ask the butcher at any chain grocery store to run the rack through the machine (down the middle) for me.
So who sharpens you’re knives? They’re always impressive.
Dude does it usually. But I try to hone them before I use them if I remember.
