You mentioned that your 84 didn't have a reverse and that's because it wasn't introduced til the newer model for 1988. Also the 88 and newer goldwings are way heavier as in 88 they had a 1500cc 6 cylinder engine. I love my 88 gl1500 and have had an 83, 86 and now 88 and looking forward to a 1800 goldwing some day. Just enjoy your time with your 84 and have fun 👍. New sub.
