Bleach was one of his favorite series of all time, he was one of the main reasons I finally got into it this year (2024) after almost 20 years, it has quickly become one my favorite series of all time. I wouldn’t be a Bleach fan if it wasn’t for him (and some other people throughout the years.) and to know that he’s no longer here to experience the end of Thousand Year Blood War is truly heartbreaking. So in his honor I will watch it to the end, no matter how long it takes. R.I.P Brother, may Soul Society accept you with open arms. 2005-2024

There is absolutely so much to unpack with why this is such an amazing opening. The symbolism between the lyrics and the characters shown on screen is absolutely insane but a few of my favorites are: "I put my hands together and pray" While transitioning from Ichibe, to whom I believe is Ichigo grasping his zanpakuto, to then several other character's arms/and ending it on one of the Soul King's arms. This line already matches from Ichibe being a monk, to the Soul reapers effectively being gods of death. This line, while in the song's sense, paints a scene of hopelessness, for the characters, it is a sense of duty. "My will to put on a brave face is about to break" Shunsui as a character has rarely shown his actual emotions and at this point, has to completely discard that facade to take up the mantle as head captain. And despite his understanding about war, still shoulders the burdens and pain of those lost. "Everything I do seems to go wrong, you know?" As we see Kisuke surrounded by members of the Gotei 13. If you have looked into his backstory. This is a very deliberate line to everything that happened with Aizen in the past. Then it transitions to Renji, whom struggled in the past with everything that happened with Rukia, and while he even sought more and more strength to overcome his problems and obstacles, he still finds himself lacking what he needs and still regrets the failures, despite the situations being solved by those around him. There are many other instances of this throughout this opening, and so the song strangely has a ton of narrative meaning if you look beyond the obvious implications of the song.

I’m so freaking excited. I always think about the buddy of mine who died before he could finish watching Bleach. If there is a true Heaven, he’s watching it with me in spirit. So happy to see this masterpiece finally receiving its much needed attention. My only regret is how long it’s taken and the fact that we are limited to so few amount of episodes.
I met Bleach this summer. I admit at first I was skeptical about the plot. But as soon as the Soul Society arc began I was immersed in this world. After watching part 2 of TYBW I finished reading the manga for 5 hours in a row and never got up from my chair. Now I collect Bleach trading cards and original figures. I am so excited for the start of part 3. Enjoy watching everyone! I am sincerely grateful to Tite Kubo for such a contribution to culture!
I think the manga needs to be read more slowly to absorb the character depth and development. But I'm happy more people are coming to know Bleach's greatness.

Animation terrible, art style mid, ots mid, characters dog water, power system dog farts, predictable plot, escanor is ight ig, Meliodas mid protag, summation mediocre background noise but why choose that over an anime you'd actually enjoy thoroughly.
From what I've heard, the studio in charge of Bleach opened a new division called "Pierrot Films" aimed at producing feature quality animations to compete with the likes of the JJK anime. Bleach is one of the projects now being made by this new division.
@@MathBesnosJJK definitely has better animation than Bleach TYBW. A much better JJK contender would be the last two arcs in the older bleach anime, in my opinion. Hopefully this change in Studio Pierrot will bring Bleach animation up some more though

From what I've heard, the studio in charge of Bleach opened a new division called "Pierrot Films" aimed at producing feature quality animations to compete with the likes of the JJK anime. Bleach is one of the projects now being made by this new division.
