Very interesting. Without your detailed explanation, I would have been at a loss. Thank you so much.😊

Wow, this otherwise not especially noticeable tablet, really has a lot to say! Thank you for explaining it to us! Yes, summertime does seem to be particularly festive, with all the picnics and long days of getting together with friends and loved ones. How interesting to think of the Egyptians also enjoying some festivities. Another very enjoyable takeout!!

I had thought that we would get a nice scholarly interpretation of this panel, but it turned into so much more. We were given a glimpse into the wider culture of Egypt and an appreciation of how they celebrated their festival. A well rounded presentation: thank you!

It's great that you found a painting that recognizes both Juneteenth and Father's Day.

Thank you for an informative presentation. I learned a lot and appreciated the art and history intertwined in the piece. Would be interested in how Barnes came to possess this piece. By the way, thanks to everyone who presents as part of the Daily Take Out. I look forward to each new "episode."

I am currently researching how these pieces were all acquired, and this will be written up as a research note on our website in the Fall, so stay tuned!

I loved the explanation o the details the bull tail the cloth covering the beard to make the standing bas relief a god I knew about the beard. Also the explanation of the of the other symbols... It brought this piece to life for me. I would have never guessed it had anything to do with a happy gathering. Thank you . You made a somewhat puzzling art piece come to life.

Thanks, Carl. Firstly, because I didn’t have to get down on my hands and knees to enjoy this piece and see it up close (as I would have to in the building). Secondly, for your explanation of its meaning and the spiel on Egyptian religious festivals (which sound a bit like Catholic religious processions and the like). Happy Pride to all who celebrate it at the Barnes!🌈

It's funny, but I have done exactly what you described in the gallery myself! It's not an easy piece to see! Happy Pride indeed!
