I bought one a few weeks ago and I really like it. People have asked me why I didn't buy a KIA Telluride and my answer... I DON'T WANT ONE AND YOUR NOT PAYING FOR IT! As with all of GM's newer models they are priced high but it left plenty of room for negotiation.
Thank you! I hate the domestic bashing people do in the comments section. It's not your money so dont tell people how to spend it. Not everyone wants a German or Japanese vehicle.
@@swanblake Even if it could go down the same assembly line the difference in size is allot more than just rebadging it. Do you think they took a Traverse/Enclave and just hack sawed the running rails for the shorter Blazer/XT6? The floor pan is different along with the supports for a smaller design to withstand roof load tests. The obvious to the eye is the sheet metal of which none is shared. The XT6 will have some sort of adapticlve shock that the Traverse does not have so the susenpsinon geometry will change from the subframe down. The engine bay and supports are probably very similar unless there will be a 400 hp Vsport version. All of the suspension tuning will be different also. That goes to the closer Acadia too....
@@swanblake I have had several Chevy's and Cadillac's in the past and they have all easily exceeded 200k with minimal issues. I have no problem driving a domestic vehicle and I would much rather have a Cadillac than a Hyundai/KIA. I find the styling of them rather garish and the workmanship on the ones I looked at left a lot to be desired. Like I said...You're not paying for it and if I wanted your opinion I would ask for it. Hyundai/KIA is never going to be anything other than a cheap car.
Useless for what? People seem to want to tie this Caddy to the Traverse, but they don't want to tie the Aviator to the RWD Explorer. All manufacturers use various economies between lines. But what sets the Aviator apart from GM is the RWD (as you said) and the upscale drivetrain, which is insane. There are those that will also like the design - including me.
ktpinnacle what you’re saying isn’t true and doesn’t even make sense. People do tie the Explorer to the Aviator, they’re the same truck. It’s the same with this and the GMC Acadia, people compare them because it’s on the same platform. Lincoln putting the aviator on a RWD platform is NOT differentiating it from the Ford brand since the Explorer is also now on the same exact RWD platform and even gets the same twin turbocharged V6 engine when you get the ST trim, and even get the same 10-speed transmission. You guys are so delusional.
Sorry, I hate the look of the Aviator. This XT6 has it all over Lincoln with style. That said I’m waiting until the 2021 XT6 comes out before I buy one. I will never own a Ford or BMW for that matter. My experience has been they are always in the shop for one thing or another, especially Ford. Loving this Cadillac. Hopefully 2021 brings more engine choices and super cruise.
Great review, but wouldn’t the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5 be more appropriate comparisons to the XT6? I’d think that they are in the same prize/size class, and the GLS and X7 would be in the same class as the Escalade. Just my two cents worth here.
I love the exterior of the XT6. Interior and power, not so much, need Sedona Savage and/or Kona Brown Savage as interior colors or a derivative of brown unique to the XT6 and a quilted seat option. It also would help to add at least a 3.6 liter Twin Turbo option pushing 420 HP. Do these things Cadillac and I'll be first in line to buy one!
Yelluride oops i meant Selluride oops i meant Telluride yea that's it. It's nice & cozy but the Cadillac to me all around better handling, better looking & sharper! Gotta give Kia credit for becoming noticeable in a market once dominated by domestics & the fact they'll keep the competition on notice. Great review👍💯
This CUV is a disappointment when compared to mainstream CUVs like the Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride and Mazda CX-9! And it’s an even bigger disappointment when compared to it’s luxury rivals from Volvo, Audi, Mercedes, Lincoln and BMW.
This does not compete with the Lincoln Aviator nor it’s RWD market. This competes with the Lexus RX-L, Acura MDX, and Infiniti QX60. None of which offer V8 engines. I feel that if you’re going to review a vehicle and criticize it, don’t let the reason be the fact that it doesn’t compete well in a market that it wasn’t designed to compete with in the first place. This vehicle will do great for the brand, just like the Cadillac SRX did. Except this is a better product in every way possible. Good job Cadillac, now bring on the 2021 Escalade.
The Hyundai Palisade & Kia Telluride offer as much luxury, safety features & options for 10k less. And they are styled better. The engineering, craftsmanship and build quality are better than GM. The Genesis GV80 is really going to smoke this Cadillac XT6!
@Bandana Dee Isaac Where have you been? There are still FWD luxury crossovers today. Personally, I like the XT6 but it should be RWD. Its competing within Enclave, IMO. Leave FWD to Buick while the whole Cadillac line-up be RWD.
Overpriced, underpowered. It's a Chevy essentially. I'll take a Hyundai Palisade with more features for about 20k less or get a true luxury offering in the Lincoln Aviator. Pathetic effort from GM

You're not convincing anyone. If you don't like the XT6, no one on here does not care. I like the Aviator but I would not pick this over the XT6. Now you see what I'm talking about. I stated my preference and no one could care less what I like over what. Grow up for once and stop being a troll. If you said this vehicle is not your cup of tea, then most posters on here would respect your comments better but you are making yourself look like an ass when you say juvenile comments that the XT6 is a Chevy when others on here explained to you that it is not. Just because both vehicles or lets say all GM brands share a common platform does not make it a cheaper version of this or higher version of that. A CADILLAC IS A CADILLAC AND CHEVY IS A CHEVY!
I love this guys voice, it's so soothing.
I wish he did more reviews

After reading about the quality issues ford and Lincoln has with their explorer and aviator this seems like a better choice than those lol
Would love to see a "V" version of this model.
I just bought a good used 2022 XT6 for my wife, she loves it!
A small V-8 or turbo V-6 would help this compete with the Aviator. But the Aviator has design and bling advantages for those that are looking for it.
The Aviator is RWD based unlike this Traverse which is front wheel drive. Having a V8 that can onky send 50 percent tp the back os useless.

That would never happen anyway. Ford made a good move going to RWD for the Exploder and Aviator.

I like the Telluride but, I like the XT6 more. None of the others appeal to me.
Get a top trim Telluride and you can buy a $30K plus second vehicle to go with it. ;)

John S you’re correct. This guy is an idiot or he just doesn’t do his homework before using his mouth in front of the camera
No third row now

God the prices of cars
If it’s the XT6, what’s the 400 on the tailgate mean ?
It’s a rounded-up figure of its torque figure in Newton-meters. Seems silly, right??
Love the look of it. I hope this brings Cadillac back
won't happen, buddy.

Americans? wining about a Cadillac go figure!! In the beginning of the video yes you were
"XT6 Series 62" as in 6.2 Liter Hot Rod Caddy
Time for new shoes and a haircut! Why didn't you pop the hood so we could have a look where it really matters?
The quality is very bad... I had an xt5 platinum interior and the rims the colour is faded away... Im shifting to lincoln
Only in that Red color it shines

Definitely an Aviator.
No presence on the road. Absolutely uninspiring.

The traverse is one hell of a CUV so ill take this anyday GM knows what ppl want
Scott Anders Your point? Nearly every vehicle manufacturer out there builds multiple vehicles on the same platform.
Meh it’s ok
The Acura MDX is a better suv than this and the MDX came out in 2013 as a 2014MY that says a lot.
Matter of an opinion. I can't see how the current gen. is better than an all new model like the XT6. The MDX is generic in every which way.
Ill pass! All of my friends GM Suvs blew up in front of their eyes, very poorly built.
Sure.
Just a gussied up junk Chevy front wheel drive platform. Stay away, you are warned
