The guy's trapped in his own lunacy that's why its called buwan/moon/lunar/lunatic...the girl was never there to begin with...he's just imagining her or he was trapped by her memory coz she could possibly be a dead ex-girlfriend or something.

This music has a very deep meaning actually.
The girl is already gone, then as if he wants to keep her even in memories but in real life he is the one trapped in his love or perhaps feelings for her hence in the last portion in the video he is the one trapped.

I think it's actually the girl who's the abuser here.
If you observe very closely in the music video, it starts with them driving in a car and the girl is the one who points her fingers where to go. *Remember this because it's a sign she only takes advantage of him.*
Then she pointed her fingers where they should stop. She then dances around very carelessly while a car is driving by. *This metaphorically means she just used him to get where she wanted and she's having fun on what she got while he doesn't see it.*
He notices this and immediately pulled her away from the car and told her how dangerous it was and to correct her wrongdoings. *This means he spots her doing something wrong and he tries to correct her for it.*
She didn't like that she was corrected by him so they went back in the car and she said they should stop to another place again. He didn't want to but she begged him so he gave in.
They stop by the place and he's confused on what the place is but she just hugs him and drags him to a vision of him tying her up to a chair blindfolding her. *This means when they have an argument about her wrongdoings/when he realizes she takes advantage of him, she always tells him he's being abusive towards her even though he's doing nothing wrong and he's just pointing out what makes him unhappy.*
He felt bad for this so he tried to be more gentle to her, but soon he begins to see this pattern of her always guilt tripping him all the time when he's in the right as her true nature reveals when he took off her blindfold.
In the following scenes, we see him having a mental breakdown because he's confused on what's going on because he's being taken advantage of by the girl.
He looks in one direction where they're dancing together happy in the relationship. *This means she fakes that she loves him by dancing with him and being a sweet girl even though she just wants to take advantage of him.*
Then he looks the other direction where she's smiling at him, then she looks away, then she looks back again and her smile disappeared, *This means she always smiles at him when he does what she wants and she shows an unhappy and displeased expression when he refuse to do what she wants; a clear sign of an emotionally manipilative abuser.*
But he can't fully realize that he's the victim here because she keeps saying he's the one overreacting and abusing HER when she's actually the abuser. *Thus, the image of her blindfolded and tied in the chair keeps appearing in between this mental breakdown sequence.*
Then he begins to have a mental breakdown infront of her when they stopped dancing. *He's trying to say that he's unhappy with the relationship but she's ignoring him.*
She keeps on holding his hands up, making him dance with her again, swinging his hands to dance again when he doesn't want to anymore, dragging him around to dance again even though he's noticing that she doesn't truly love him. *This means she's completely shutting off his unhappiness and slow descend to insanity from this abusive relationship by distracting him with sweet words and gestures so he won't break up with her.*
She then strangles him in the next scene. *This implies she's refusing to hear him speak about his madness and doubt.*
He breaks free from her hold *implying he broke up with her.*
Then, the following scene shows time being reversed. *This is him unable to imagine his life without her by his side so he ends up being lonely and now he wants her back again.*
He's being dragged by an invisible her from the past to the cage with the chair. *The invisible "her" dragging him back to the cage is the memories of their relationship holding him back from moving on because he couldn't imagine himself alone without her now that she's gone.*
She gives an evil smile at the camera as the video ends showing she succeeded in manipulating him to be her pet to take advantage of.*
If you rewatch the music video with these kept in mind, everything makes SO MUCH sense now and you can now notice her evil smiles and body languages portraying her as an ignorant and manipulative jerk.

The video is about longing for someone you can't be with, or be with anymore.
Driving through the street, he's reliving the past where he couldn't save the girl. He thought of a scenario where he saved her so he brought her to a room. The room represents his life... Broken, empty and dull which only comes alive whenever he remembers her. He becomes addicted to his memories of her, that's why he tied her up so as not to lose her again.
At the back of his mind he knows that he lost her already, so he created a world where she exists, and locked her in it. But in the end, he was the one who was locked in it.

I think I've read somewhere and they had debunked this music video.
The word "Buwan" literally translates to "Moon", and the Moon is named after the ancient Roman Goddess "Luna", and the guy here is suffering from "lunacy" or "lunatic". It is not confirmed that the girl here is dead, or if she did actually existed, or is she only existent to the boy's mind.
You can interpret it as the boy is still trapped to the girl's memories, or the boy is longing for someone that had only existed from his fantasy.
The song is how "she" looked beautiful under that dim moonlight. Hence why the girl here is wearing a white dress under a dark night, maybe signifying "she" is his "moon", a source of light, in his darkest moments.
