Kurt doesn't double track the clean intro but he does for the rest
He also plays cobain chords not power chords

This is the number 1 guitar cover tone and performance wise. Nailed all the departments! We need the settings for the Eras, the amp, the chorus, and the mic model to recreate this tone. Or maybe the mix settings after the raw recording piece. Absolute great job dude! Cheers from a fellow guitarist and a Nirvana fan! You can fool everyone thinking this is the Nevermind audio and may be subjected to copyright due to the closeness of the tone to the original record.

Finally this is bang on. Too many covers have too much bass in the mix, this is perfect 👍 people mostly put too much bass in it and they don’t understand the simplicity of the tone, all that was used really here was a ds2 and a small clone and some compression in the solo. Kurt was the man of no frills but the tone he produced was mega

Tone is likely a recipe. Everyone’s got their own and many different recipes work.
It’s a fairly simple song to play but very difficult to get the tone right. You nailed it!

It sounds almost exactly like the original version. That's dope bruh. Even Nirvana couldn't match the studio tone whenever they play live.
they just played faster with more gain. they could def match the studio tone if they wanted

They didn’t have that Neve board with them while on tour, nor did they have god knows how many microphones and amplifiers Butch Vig used to capture Nevermind’s sound. They only had Kurt Cobain (and Pat Smear later on) on the guitar. Every track on Nevermind has, at the very least, three guitar tracks. They also didn’t have a Yamaha SPX90 rack that Andy Wallace used to process every single guitar and bass track on that record.
Nevermind’s production was as complex as it could get for a simple band like Nirvana.
Nevermind was not just Cobain, Grohl and Novoselić. Butch Vig made that album what it is. It’s his magnum opus, not just Nirvana’s.
