When Venus Raj break the 10 years unplaced of the Philippines to Ms. Universe and the start of 10 years strike with 1 top 20, 1 top 6, 2 top 10, 4 runner-ups and 2 ms universe titles , this victory is because of Venus the lucky charm of the Philippines.
It was 11 years of no placement. The last placement was in 1999 first runner up finish by Miriam Quiambao. Count the years from 1999 to 2010 = 11 years.

In 1999 there's a placement and it ends with first runner up then the following year 2000 its in place until 2009 but when 2010 Venus make a cut so Philippines placed again so if we count 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007,2008, & 2009 its a 10 years unplaced. Did you get it sir?
Philippines should work on the economy and makes your people count money, not counting number of placements in beauty pageants.

I was supporting Mexico of course, and I also found Ireland, Russia, and Jamaica very beautiful. VIVA MEXICO!!, Ximena Navarrete is very beautiful. postscript, it was a surprise not to see the USA in the top 15.

USA was the host country in this edition but was unplaced. Venezuela also failed to make the first cut.
Venezuela was unplaced because of back to back winning the crown way back 2008 and 2009

Ya aquí se notaba que México y Jamaica eran las más potentes.
Me hubiera gustado que la irlandesa hubiese avanzado al top 5. La sudafricana también era bastante guapa, pero en ese tiempo a este país le faltaba afinar detalles, ahora son de las 2 nuevas powerhouse con filipinas.

Atleast for this decade we have consecutively placed and made 2 Miss Universes.. Congrats also to your country anyway...
