A cover coming in such a short time after my last upload?? Could it be true? I’m happy to say that it is. Close to you is definitely a throw back but I’ve wanted to sing it for so long, I couldn’t resist. only people who have experienced loss will see this song's message, I feel. Reminds me of those dear to me I lost.
For me it reminds me of all the people I was dependent on and who I constantly tried to reach out to. Of course... all they wanted me for was for something cheap, and then they'd throw me out like some background object. The line "I see I've barely reached you and your heart" reminds me how I felt when I realized they were just using me.

This song surprised me. I found out about it less than 24 hours from writing this comment.
But, this song resonated with me so heavily that I was so shocked. Not to go into detail or make anyone reading bummed out, but I've dealt with a lot of things over the past few years, and slowly I've been healing and getting better, but the lyrics of this song and the emotion put into it made me crumble on the inside. It's as if I was able to feel myself open up finally and accept things while searching for my own light, step by step of course. I've not had a song hit me this incredibly hard in years, and I'm so incredibly grateful to have come across it, thank you so much Nyamai for covering it and putting so much emotion into it. I hope your journey in life is blissful and leads you to great heights, as you deserve it.
