Sehr schönes Video und sehr schöner Blog. Ich finde es gut, das auch regionale Unterschiede bei der Uhrzeit erwähnt werden. Das verschweigen viele Lehrer.
24h format written and/or formal spoken German = hh:mm Uhr (written)/hh Uhr mm (spoken) 12h format in spoken German and informal written German (here you use expressions like halb, viertel, viertel nach/vor, dreiviertel or X nach X/X vor X) Nobody would say half 17/halb 17
Dieses Video war ein bisschen schwieriger als manche anderen Videos, denn ich musste die Uhr selbst machen. Insgesamt hat es ungefähr fünf Stunden gedauert.
+Lupe Official It is not an error. In that sentence "fern" is a prefix that goes with the verb "fernsehen". If it were the noun "Fernsehen" it would have to be capitalized, but this is a verb.
+Lupe Official No. "Ich spiele gern(e) Tennis." would be the correct version, as "Tennis" cannot be used as a prefix. You might find my guide to separable prefixes helpful. th-cam.com/video/IzYZgdFTbRs/w-d-xo.html
I know you can't please everyone but for those of us that are still slow at translating. ... could you please .. maybe, speak a little slower in some of your lessons. I understand 90 percent of it but I'm still at the stage where I can't process and translate quickly. Thank you.
Learn German with Herr Antrim More time between each word would be better thanks. With us that are learning a new language I would say that people speaking to fast is one of the major problems. I've only been learning less than a year and I get lost quite quickly.

I will try to slow down, but I also see value when learners see that this is a normal speed for speaking German. I tried to slow down in this video, but I didn't do it very well. I will try to do better next week. I'll keep the B1/B2 videos at the same speed, as those learners should be able to keep up, but you are right that the A1/A2 videos should be slower.
Learn German with Herr Antrim Thank you. .... And I totally understand that to speak to slowly will annoy and bore your more advanced learners. Maybe just a couple of videos will satisfy those of is that are still slow at translating.

Herr Antrim: Is the twenty-four hour time format (e.g. Military time) a standard convention in German speaking countries?
Yes. That is pretty standard. It is definitely present on official time tables, such as train schedules and flight information.

Ich lerne Deutsch von mir. Ich finde dein Video sehr hilfreich, um das Hören zu üben. Danke!
Herr Antrim, vielleicht, könnten Sie die Deutschen Sätze schreiben im Video. Es wirst sehr hilfreich sein. :)
Klick einfach den Untertitelknopf und wähle die Sprache aus. Alle meiner Videos haben Untertitel auf Deutsch und Englisch.
Perfekt, Master! Ich habe ohne Untertitel sehen versucht. Du machst eine sehr wichtige Werk. Danke noch einmal!
18:45 ist früher als 19:00, nur zur Erinnerung!
Not sure if there's a slight error but should the f be capitalised in:
Ich sehe stattdessen fern.
+Lupe Official It is not an error. In that sentence "fern" is a prefix that goes with the verb "fernsehen". If it were the noun "Fernsehen" it would have to be capitalized, but this is a verb.
I appreciate the prompt reply. So is the following sentence grammatically correct?
Ich tennisspiele gerne?
+Lupe Official No. "Ich spiele gern(e) Tennis." would be the correct version, as "Tennis" cannot be used as a prefix. You might find my guide to separable prefixes helpful. th-cam.com/video/IzYZgdFTbRs/w-d-xo.html
Ah. I see. I'll have a look at it. Thanks.
Kann mann sagen "zehn Uhr fünf" statt "fünf nach zehn"? (not sure if statt is correct choice here)
Ja, das geht. Man kann auch "zehn Uhr und fünf Minuten" sagen.
sher gut kleren vielen Dank
you dont say 10 nach 13 Uhr, die informelle Uhrzeit benutzt man nur fuer die Zahlen 1 bis 12, die formelle 1 bis 24
This is true. I goofed.
"Ich benote die Hausaufgaben meiner Schüler"why this sentence used "meiner" instead of "meines"
"Schüler" is being used as the plural form, which makes the genitive form "meiner".
danke

Do you want more time between sentences or do you want more time between each word in the sentence?
Learn German with Herr Antrim More time between each word would be better thanks. With us that are learning a new language I would say that people speaking to fast is one of the major problems. I've only been learning less than a year and I get lost quite quickly.
