I don't know the model but I want that 300b black one at 1:10! I listened to the Susvara + that amp. I was swapping jacks with amps that, on paper, are supposed to be much better and could not believe my ears! That thing is the ultimate amp with the Susvara😍.
as amazing as tube amps sound, does it take away that sparkle and air up top? im asking about whether it goes a notch down just enough to lose the air and breathiness, so not the type where it's kinda there but not really there. or does it completely sound warm without reserve?
I would actually say that it provides more air and space especially in the mids on up, at least that's how experience it. Moreso with high impedance dynamics but also generally.
The Fivre 6V6 power tubes and Hammond 12au7's are the ones I have in right now, they sound great, amazing PRAT and euphony. Haven't tried others yet, may report back when I do!

The amp doesn’t get too much hot… I can perfectly put my hand on the back part (the closed cases on the back) and I only get a slightly warm feeling… not even near to make any harm… even if the amp is on (and playing) for 4h.
my instincts told me good things about cayin, it made me get the cayin ha-1a mkii as my first tube amp & i really like it, i would get something like this if i wanted another tube amp 👀

Yeah for tube amps the 3a is fairly linear and won't make the Atticus too much of a good thing. You can also play with the impedance switch to get the right to ality for your preferences. I think you'd like it a lot!
There's not really a bass boost, more a boost of spaciousness, decay and fluidity. It'll make sense when you hear it. I usually use the medium impedance mostly.
I don't know that singular tube amps have more or less bass, but some amp[s have more "punch." The 300b definitely wins the "punch" category while the 3A and 6A are more nimble, 6A is a nice middle ground. I promise I'll have the comparison video soon, it's on my edit list for this week!
For my taste the Cayin is the best transformer based tube amp dollar for dollar in the game right now. Pendant is great too, you can buy them from headphones.com (as LeeLoo) for $2899.
Absolutely - with the three impedance choices and the euphony and expansive space of the tube the sound is really great on the auteur or any of our headphones really. Since it's a transformer based tube amp it will run anything short of the susvara really, and even get ample volume with those.
I think the one with the most punch/prat is the HA6A EL34/KT88 amp - the EL3a is more deft and spacious and nimble. The 6A has that and adds the PRAT and feel. It might be my favorite of all the Cayin amps. We have both in stock.
Bottlehead amps are amazing, and you get to DIY them which is really cool. One of our staff has one he's modded giant caps into that sounds amazing, it's an OTL amp though, not transformer based like these, so better for non-planars.

FIVRE is Italian..........often tubes build under and licend from RCA... Best sounding 6V6 is the 6V6G from Marconi/GE ..... Pity the color of the VU meters is ugly ... What type is the rectifier tube ? Genuine nos 6V6 tubes sound better and more musical than their bigger family brothers ......a lot of guitar players especialy blues /jazz players liked the tone of this tube...

Yeah that's the HA-300B MK II. It has tons of power and will drive anything like the Susvara.
Does it work only with dynamic driver type 300ohm headphones ?
Or would it also enhance the Caldera ? I heard planars don't benefit from tubes

Great tube amps especially transformer coupled ones have the best glare free treble extension

Does the HA-3A have an auto bias feature? I would like to get this amp to use with my Verite Open, but I don't want to mess around with electronics.

Ha-6a and 300b will drive susvara very well. 3a will get volume but not quite the tone and weight of the other 2.
