No matter how much I like Julia as a person and as a dancer, to be fair to myself, I still like the explosive power of Joanna whenever she generated a spot turn. Wow !
Nope, as time has proved Joanna was one dimensional, a one trick pony, being able to spin very fast is not enough, whereas Yulia can do it all, brilliant in all forms of dance and kept being innovative as well unlike Joanna!
If I may use the word PATRONIZING to describe the dancing of the two partners of the two wonderful dancers Yulia and Joanna. I already explained why FOUR of them were the WORLD CHAMPIONS ! TH-cam Dancewu net Rumba
@georgewu5 no hip movements like Riccardo or Michael? Number 1 and 2 in the world and your saying they have no hip movements!? Insane. Her name is Yulia though, not Julia. And yes Joanna is untouchable at those spins and clean movement, that I agree with.
If you are 19 years old lady, your favorites are Polish junior competiotions, I assumed that your are, when you chose a partner in the future, I hope you do not have a male partner who does not have hip movements like Riccardo or Michael, look for some one who could dance like Slavik. The fact Riccardo and Yulia just retired as the 10 time Latin Professional World Champions proves everything you claimed about them was incorrect, they formed a brilliant partnership and became true masters of latin dancing. Their artistry, musicality, chemistry, precision and technique a joy to watch. Michael for me was a very stiff dancer and though Joanna was able to spin very fast the rest of her dancing never progressed any further, very repetitive. Unfortunately Slavik was more of an individual dancer hence why he was never able to win a championship.
In my opinion, Slavik is the only dancer in the world who has the best Cuban Motion as part of himself. Even the great 13 times World Champion Donnie Burns has to take lesson from Slavik ! Riccardo and Michael ? even they take private lessons from Slavik, I don't think they could ever get the essence of the Cuban Motion, doing the figure eight as their vocabrulary. the reason why they were champions was because of Yulia and Joanna.
