I am not sure if he is the best all round keeper. He is definitely the best at stumping with his unique style. But diving around and stopping the ball and taking catches, I would rate Wriddhiman Saha better than him. Again I am talking purely from wicket keeping perspective.

Actually the runner has no way of knowing which end the fielder has thrown the ball, and if he looks at the fielder he won’t be able to run slow
So technique is that batsman/runner look at the reaction of the wicketkeeper to judge if the bowl is coming at their end and they better run faster or even dive
What Dhoni did was he was casually waiting thereby fooling the batsman that bowl wasn’t coming to their end , you can see that the batsman was jogging and no dive
The by the time batsman realised this it was too late

In some of the last clips, he threw the ball at the stumps without even looking at them (the stumps were facing his back)... and that's coz he knew that even if he wastes time by turning n aiming at the stumps then the batsmen could enter the crease (the white line)...so he used his experience n threw the ball predicting the position of the stumps

Fast bowlers can bowl (pitch) 95+ miles, Spin blowers blow about 60 miles, with 10-40 degree of spin with drift, bounce ,...
Cricket ball is much harder than Baseball, almost same size, but bit heavier.
Only Wicket Keeper can wear Gloves... rest of all the fielders have to field the ball bare hands, it is really tough initially , once you practice, it is okay,.. but have to very careful.. I used to get every other day, swollen fingers..
Base ball is easier for Cricketers ...In cricket, you can hit the ball anywhere..360 degrees. but should make sure, you don't hit in the hands of the fielders ...so most of the times, batter hit the ball on the ground.. & make sure to hit the ball inbetween the players to boundary line (that is 4 runs. if the ball is hit all the way out of the boundary , it is 6 runs.)

You can run whenever, once that ball leaves the bowlers hand, its in play. Thats how the stumpings worked, the batsman was out of his crease (that line) just as if he was running after hitting it. you don't have to run, but you can.
