Keep going....you're proving that NT staff are programmed to spout nonsense when it come s to drones. They've made a "rule" about airspace which isn't even theirs!
‘We don’t allow it’…. I wasn’t asking for permission! These glorified gardeners really think they are something special 😂😂
It is National Trust policy that unauthorised drone flights are prohibited over NT land. It is a policy which is completely unenforceable because they neither own nor control the airspace.
The CAA control all airspace in the UK> NT are wrong.....
Exactly

Keep doing Nat Trust properties until they comply with the law!
It's a loophole in my view.
Lol@@nogelserv
@@nogelservNo, at most they'll require an actual licence and everyone will just get one, like they do with larger drones.
@@ThunderChunky101 We'll see. My sense is there'll be a change in the law. I find it utterly bizarre that you could in theory have 100 people each with a 249g DJI mini pro stood outside an oil refinery flying over.
@@nogelserv I think you might be right, but a law that cannot be effectively policed is not good law, which is probably why they have not changed it yet.
"That's the law" - so self confident as he delivers the biggest container full of effluent in history. 🤣😂🤣
This is really starting to make the NT look ridiculous. How difficult is it to say, we don't control the air space and it is entirely your choice if you wish to fly over our building/land?
Agreed
Amazing how arrogantly and wrongly briefed these NT workers are?
Did anyone spot Peter Ustinov?
Wow, the National Trust is a gift that keeps on giving. They really pull truckloads of BS out of their a**es.
NT staff both paid and voluntary have that snobby sense of entitlement peculiar to the middle class. They are the sort of people who get a migraine if they don't have their daily dose of outraged indignation.
You've struck gold with these national woke sites
Is this not the opposite of woke? These people appear to be fast asleep in the 19th century, they make Jacob Reece-Mogg look cool and modern.

Most organisations have been captured by woke. They often operate authoritarian.
A lot of nonsense spoken by staff here not to mention a ridiculous sense of entitlement to attempt to exclude those who might not be fortunate enough to afford the National Trust's expensive membership fees, ticket prices, etc. Thanks a lot for the excellent footage in support of those who may not be able to see it first hand. Thank you.
@dsummers8191 It's or was a club for the middle class AND above. Privileges were bestowed on certain groups. Their whole model is outdated, snobs of the highest water
The NT is so far up their backside and full of self-importance that it's staggering. This is just a microcosm of those who perceive themselves to be in authority over others that they make up their own laws which we underlings must all comply with.
0:00 Bernstein v Skyviews - 1978 has set out that it is not trespass to fly over. It also sets out that taking pictures from a aircraft is not a breach of privacy.
And Skyviews of Keighley nr Bradford was the biggest aerial photography company in the UK.
How I hope they read this!
The drone is trespassing? That makes me imagine a drone turning up to civil court with his drone lawyer 🤭
We were members of the Trust for many years, then the person in charge ( can’t remember her name ) started to implement her own personal political views, and that was it! Many of the volunteers went as well! Be very care full NT you really need members!
It’s the way this country is nowadays. Everyone makes up their own policies but they absolutely refuse to acknowledge the laws of the land
I find it irritating when people or companies try to control what people do in a public space, in their home or in their lives generally - and none more so that government while I'm at it. It also annoys me when people think they are right all the time. You have a guy like this who can't be bothered to read their own webpage, who works for the NT. It reads "As a landowner, the National Trust does not permit unauthorised drone operation ON any of our land and properties."... "All drones, regardless of size or the requirements for registration, must follow the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Drone and Model Aircraft Code March 2024". Well, that's what DJE and most drone pilots do anyway. They go on to say "In terms of taking photographs from land that doesn’t belong to the National Trust, it would be your responsibility as the photographer to ascertain whose land you’re on and to contact the owner for permission". There are certain bye-laws in some places that restrict drone usage that don't show on Drone assist but absent of that, you can fly over the land when taking off from a public space
Tresspass in the airspace run by the CAA
Tim Nice but dim comes to mind.
Lol
16:50 . . . AGAIN . . . there IS permission . . . CAA and Government of UK gives permission, FULL legal AUTHORIZATION to fly a 250g aircraft over unrestricted air space.
I like how they try different tactics of deny. First comes no fly zone, then private property, then it is historical site, then they bring "kids in the area", then people living on site, then health and safety issue, commercial issue and you name it.
Ffs, what happens in public, regardless of their place, they can't do anything.
But they are the NT mob, bigger than CAA and Human Rites. Its obvious, they cut the grass and grow an sell stuff. Powerful crew that lot. 🤣

I'm a paying member of the national trust now I am never going to pay again !
I cancelled mine years ago.
Quite right too.
You're part of the problem, the national trust has proven time and time again they shouldn't earn any profit from British people
Weird over reaction I think.
@nic47531 exactly right, this channel and its viewers are barmy 😂
National Trust.... stop misinforming employees, educate your staff, be transparent with the correct laws, tell them your policies are not enforceable and be proud of your surroundings
So, it's unsafe to fly a drone over the property, unless you have a permit, which then magically makes it safe! lol
HSE card, often used to BS
Yet another reason to avoid anything to do with the National Trust.
Yep, pack of gangsters

Glad I’m able to view this video before National Trust have it removed
I wish someone would just walk around saying no, go away to people who are trying to tell others what to do. These endless debates gets old really fast.
Bored
@philipjones9458 but your watching.....stop
Wouldn't that be even more boring, people watch this for the interaction, if they want to see pretty pics of landscapes and buildings there are channels dedicated to that,
Well done DJE MEDIA you are showing the National Trust for what they are.
A Trespassing drone😂 FFS, how stupid are some people ?! Does this mean aircraft trespass when they fly over too ?!🤔🤣🤦♂️
Keep up these national trust videos - perhaps do English heritage too?
Yes, they who allow migrants in for free - a lot like our government !!
Its the same thing
You're sure milking the NT herd. And your content is pure cream. Keep it up DJE.
Now they are telling lies!
They are literally clueless
Once again deluded staff with regard to airspace. Why do they not know that they cannot stop drone flying over their property when the pilot is following regs for the drone they are flying. The staff are really looking stupid 🙆
Really great content again from DJE 👏
Still so many places and people need educations on laws and air space.
Big fan of these National trust videos 🎉❤
Excellent stuff!
Just saved me £50 entrance fee for my family to walk around that place.
I'm going to share with this with my relatives so they can save too.
That's a new one the drone is trespassing. What idiotic nonsense unless they own the airspace and surely this is free advertising for them.
Try English Heritage as well --- they are catching up on National Trust.
National Trust policy is not law, in the same way anyone can create policies on their own property which are meaningless outside or above their land.
THis just shows the type of people who are in the National Trust --- Self-righteous to the nth degree.
I notice the National Trust have alot of managers....maybe too many??
“I don’t expect to see the drone” a very Nelson statement.
National Trust are plonkers
Have National Trust Staff seriously never seen an aeroplane before?
Imagine their surprise, when the video is not going to be taken down. 😂
Bro your on a roll. Do every NT site you can until this gets resolved. Great work.
I'm loving the national trust vids
I’m surprised they didn’t contact “Jan” 😂😂😂 fantastic overhead footage, Thanks DJE 👍 keep up the good work, National Trust sits are definitely interesting for your fans.
What is the difference between a drone going over by appointment and one turning up on the day? Surely the risks are exactly the same?
All that animated chat and you still take the drone up. Well done.
I am enjoying these National Trust audits. It's interesting how entitled they are to think they own the airspace
It’s NOT commercial
If you took the footage to sell it, that’s commercial
But if you film to put on TH-cam and then as a bi product you earn ad revenue, that’s not classed as the same
…I don’t think lol, pretty certain
“Definitely not! “ the utter arrogance
Wait, so the National Trust thinks flying a drone over their land is illegal? What do they do when an airplane flies overhead? Do they send a strongly worded letter to the pilot demanding a U-turn, or maybe dispatch a squad of seagulls to enforce the no-fly zone? If drones are off-limits, I guess next they'll be installing 'no air' signs for birds too! 😂😂😂😛
I bet the NT charges extra to sit on the grass.
8;17 “it’s only a baby” (no pun intended) referring to the drone when having the convo with the heavily pregnant lady 😂
Blatantly lying about a no fly zone, they are not the CAA and they can not issue permits for a NFZ even if there was one.
These people need to abide by the law and stop trying to use there policy's trumping the law the law is the law and they don't have the authority to stop people using a drone
As I left UK 50 years ago, I really appreciate seeing English countryside, thank you
👍👍
People aren't going to decide not to visit just because they've seen some drone footage on TH-cam.
I wont be visiting them ever again , so you are wrong
I don't want to go but simply because of the self entitled staff they appear to have working for them, not because of a drone or drone footage.
@@patthewoodboy true actually, no point now I've seen it from above on TH-cam.
It’s my opinion that more people would be inclined to see the footage and want to visit in person, so long as the interactions with staff were welcoming and informative, rather than say they have no desire to see it for themselves after watching some aerial footage.
It is NOT the case that there is "a blanket ban" on flying drones over NT land. He's just making it up.
I don't think so. In the NT videos they come up with very similar "complete ban" stories. The NT has very likely made a policy without any clue about the law.
Just a ban on flying from their land.
@@verybighomer that's exactly what they did: draw up an unenforceable policy.
She made that up just because they can't help themselves... They must show their authority on everything around them.
They are all really a special lot aren't they. I wonder if they look to employ this type of person, or if you become this way by working for the National Trust, very weird people.
"we're not trying to be difficult", says the man who is absolutely being difficult. 😆😆😆😆
Have you got your permit to fly a drone... we sell permits to fly drones.. you must PAY!!!!!
What other laws do the NT not understand?
The laws of illegal hunting, they lease their land out for illegal hunts in the UK
@@george-ev1dq Good one

Are you aware all the people that have arrived on our shores illegally in a cynical attempt to game our weak and flawed asylum policies.. Are allowed in NT free admission. "we feel its the right thing to do" it says on their site
Just tell them that the CAA control the bloody airspace not them !

It's awesome that you are showing us some of those old homes in the National Trust and other areas of England. Many of my ancestors lived in England, but I've never visited the country, so it's really nice to see it, especially the old castles and manors. I imagine that it's quite expensive to maintain those properties. Thanks DJE Media.
Ignoring the "not allowed" drives them insane. It's absolutely hilarious.
I like this national trust content bro
I love the way they try and speak about the law, when they have zero clue 😂
Why if businesses implement a policy, do they not find out the legality of that policy? and then believe that is their right.
You know what makes my blood boil? I pay £5:65 a month for national trust membership and illegal immigrants and other immigrants get *FREE* membership!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! 😡 This country is MAD
It looks to me like these NT premises are overstaffed - probably well paid too. There is a definite air of arrogance about them too, with their posh accents.
I worked for the national trust about 20 years ago. This is an organization that has a lot of nepotism when it comes to who runs it. Their recruitment at management levels are not free and fair. They have progressively become more draconian against the public. Our local trust site has been cut off to locals that’s have been using it since before it was national trust. All because of money grabbing to pay their high unearned salaries
These videos are quality mate, about time this organisation is educated on the law. Quite clearly they think they can create their own laws. It’s disgusting behaviour from such a large seemingly well respected organisation. I thought they’d be better than this! Wow !😳😳 I think they actually believe this utter bull themselves, that’s the scary thing 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤮🤮🤮
According to The Guardian, in 2021-22 the National Trust DG was paid, 199,614 pounds salary. A later article states this is 'only' now 105,000!
Yet, they are a 'charity' that is staffed by THOUSANDS of good- natured volunteers, this has never sat well with me.
ALL so-called 'non-profit' organizations want reworking in my opinion and all salaries capped to a uniform maximum.
"There is no cause more worthy than to fight for fairmess!" ⚔️ 🇬🇧⚔️
I think staff are deliberately NOT informed of the law. They are led to believe company policy is the same as law. Interactions such as these would probably deter many people, which is the desired result.
Enjoying these NT ones DJE ❤
Amazing that they're concerned about the people and children who live there, but quite happy if you pay to see them!
👍
The idiotic hypocrisy and unraveling contradictory statements of these people is staggering 😂
You sound like you're cracking one off with the heavy breathing on the drone footage. 🙄
National Trust are a waste of time Have their own stupid rules at one time you couldn't take photos in the properties which is why I left them. They are so self important.
These NT videos are great, so much more interesting than the car dealership ones you used to do. Keep it up DJE
He keeps saying 'we', 'our property', 'the NationalTrust' as if this is his personal property. They need to get real.
Beautiful site that one mate. The camera picks up the different trees awesome 👊
They have been told to say what they say....fair play. I have trouble getting about, so these views on the ground and above help me out
That is how I see it. 👍
Wow .. they really think they have power over what people do from public? Lunacy .. they don't. Who the hell do they think they are?
The N.T. short of volunteers, put your hands in your pocket and pay staff to work there, your worth £1.7bn.
Company policy isn't the law.
Two dimensional minds in a three dimensional world.
Can these people actually hear the crap that's coming out of there mouths
Personally I think its a power trip
Please do the head office 😂
I just wouldn't have the patience to listen to all that bullshit.
They're worried about the privacy of the family that live there but they allow paying visitors to take photos around the grounds, even says so on their site!!
Visitors are therefore more likely to get an unintended shot of the family than a drone is and also from much closer up than a drone ever could.
They spout utter nonsense and try to make out that it's law when it absolutely isn't.
When talking to these people, why do you let them off the hook so weakly, when they're clearly wrong?
It's incredibly frustrating to watch
He's weak
National Trust film office really needs put on the spot to explain their no fly nonsense and who came up with it, like the CEO apparently 😊😊
