Yea upgrading from the 2017 to the 2024 with the m3 chip is a huge upgrade. I had a MacBook pro 2012 and it lasted me through high school but it was really slow and laggy and the battery would die less than 2 hours. It would also crash on me when I am playing games as well. I upgraded to the m2 MacBook Air 15 inch in the blue color and I'm in love with this MacBook. It was a huge upgrade. I do want to fix my old MacBook Pro because I had coffee spilt on the MacBook and it doesn't turn on but it does charge. I miss having that Dvd slot on my MacBook so I want to get it fix and upgrade the ram, add an SSD, and upgrade the battery.
you're so right and i can already tell it's such a huge upgrade!! also omg my old macbook pro would die every 2 hours too 😭 it was so bad lol. so glad to hear you're still loving your macbook m2!! :))

The midnight is such a pretty color! I upgraded mine back in 2022 and got the MacBook pro M1 Pro chip 16in! I love it, it's just on the heavy side lol! I loved the MacBook Airs b/c of how light they were, but it having no built in fans is what turned me away. A computer needs fans in it to prevent it from overheating. You will need to be cautious where it sits (pillows, blankets, tables, etc) and for how long its on. I highly recommend getting a laptop stand for your desk so it can breath (literally lol) while you are using it. I had to get one for my HP laptop since it only has one fan and was prone to overheating after being on it for 2hrs. My stand has fans built into it! Just some advice from a computer nerd and college student🤓 I love your videos and hope school is going well!😊

A great brand for a case that doesn't overheat your MacBook is Burga. I was quite skeptical before getting one, considering many brands tend to cause overheating issues. However, Burga has completely changed my mind

I think it's time I upgrade my MacBook Air. I currently have a 2013. It still works pretty well it just is in need of an upgrade since it's you know 11 years old (5 years younger than me) and I'm expecting the battery to go out on me soon. Idk if I should get an M3 chip or an M2 or something since it would probably be cheaper. Idk differences.

The loading widget can happen a lot (not jest MacBook’s also mobile lol) sometimes if you get a new device the Wi-Fi can be a little down lol or the widget needs a little time to load lol💻
I am using Macbook air m2 from last 1.6 year in MidNight color and its amazing one drawback of midnight color was it was a finger print magnet but you are lucky that😅😅 apple solved that issue in midnight colour for M3 air macs.

Edit: Oops - $2099 is for the 8GB and 512GB storage - there is a cheaper option which I missed ($1799 for 8GB and 256GB storage).
