I am blown away! How the aquarium hobby has evolved! I remember using the corner box filter box and then the under gravel filter. I am 66 years old now🤣🤣🤣
You and your hubby are a daily inspiration to me. I'm a disabled/retired gentleman who took up this wonderful hobby to make life more enjoyable. I appreciate you more than you will ever know. Thank you!
You are so kind and we are honored you think so. 😊
My daughter wanted a Japanese themed tank. So instead of buying a plastic torri gate, I made her one from driftwood branches. It was a lot of fun to put it together for her white betta, Mochi. 😊
OK wow, I love the idea of using a stencil to cut out leaf shapes!
My very artistic 10 year old and I were drooling over that painted background! We were in love with it! This was our first aquashella and we will definitely be back! Hope to see you there again!
She did an amazing job!! 😊
Agreed!
Just couldn’t contain myself if I ever went.WOW!
It was great seeing you at aquashella :D! I was the one that gave you one of my stickers, and called the leaf botanicals you were selling botanical sprinkles :)
Oh hi there!!! Lol - I do love that, so funny! 😊
So fun to see all these creations:) I love that little bunny and have the same one sitting on my kitchen window sill❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing these! So many beautiful ideas for inspiration! ❤
💚😊💚
I love the painted background and the little leaves you punched out. Great ideas!
I've always loved your hole punch tiny leaves. Aquashella would be amazing for me to go and see all these awesome scapes in person. Thanks for showing them.
👍❤️👍
Yes it would! You’d love it! Bonus - a bunch of crazy fish nerds!
I adored the out of the box category! My favorite tank currently is my Betta tank which has black gravel with neon specks, a real black ans gray striped rock, live vallisneria and anubias, and fake neon plastic plants. I know most despise the fake/neon stuff, but my Betta is a Black Orchid and i was also reusing some stuff from my previous rescued Glo-Betta. I absolutely ADORE the look of this combined tank. It makes me smile every time I look at it. Seeing those out of the box aquascapes has made me rethink how I want to set up and decorate some of my tanks in the future.
I love the aquascape with the 2 types of rock. the dragon stone ( I think that's what it is) with its reddish color looks like water logged wood.
That first tank is different, but yet, unique. Something completely different. Looks cool.
Excellent message! Keep up the great work. Love your videos!
Hi Jeff! Nice meeting your lovely wife! Keep on inspiring the world!
Wow, just wow. Mind blowing.
Love the art in aqua scaping. Have a masters in fine art and always loved that everyone can paint something completely different while using the same source material. These are all lovely 🥰
Very unique aquarium setups. Great ideas for someone to make. Excellent! I bet you and Jason had a great time at the show.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful footage of Aquashella! So inspiring!!!
😊
Such beautiful aquariums. Would be a wonderful experience to see these in person. Speaking of inspiration , I have just finished a tank fully inspired by you Johanna. I took all of my anubias and buce plants from all of my tanks and did one full anubias tank. Completed it with cherry shrimp and a big school of green neon tetras. I now I have a lovely peaceful fully small scape inspired tank. I appreciate the opportunity to learn from you and enjoy your channel.
Whattttttt?!? It sounds amaaaaazing!!😋
Rocks and driftwood tanks are for me.
Thanks for sharing these wonderful aquascapes. I'm fairly new to this hobby and I love your scapes. I also loved the episodes of Container Joy that I was able to find. You rock, Joanna! 🎉
Glad you like them! I have so many fun and whacky ideas…it’s just the time I’m lacking. 🤷🏻♀️ but thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing! They were all different and fun to see. I loved the rainbow fish in yours. Do you get to choose the fish you want to include with your scape or are they a given that you need to factor with your design? I totally remember the bunny scape you did! It was so cute! 🐰☺️
Hi! We can pick the fish, Jason picked most though so he can use for species profiles in the future. I could have watched those little rainbow cuties for hours…
I appreciate all the scaping but for me personally, I'm just not a big fan of driftwood, etc. coming out of the surface of the tank. Again, personal preference. My favorite was that first one with nothing but rocks. Absolutely gorgeous.
Yes, not all appreciate that style 😊
Amazing
Thank you for your organized report. This video is lovely. I have a fantasy aqua scape in my head. I recently realized how difficult it would be to materialize. I would be best to do a simplified version as I find the resources to materialize the vision. Thanks for the lesson.
Mmm hmmm…. Many designs reside on my head. I am most anxious to get them into the 3D world once the studio is up and running. Wishing you luck (and enjoyment)!
@@thesmallscape Thanks! I am looking forward to seeing your artistry. 😊
Awh! Love ya!
I love you're 7.5 gallon cube aquariums who makes them? I'd love to get a few
Thank you! The ones behind me are from Lifegard Aquatics. I love how they’re elevated!
I tried looking for the leaf puncher at Hobby Lobby, 3 of them and cannot find it. You got it right at the right moment.
They have some @ Amazon
💚💚💙💙
I love driftwood look but doesn’t it eventually go bad? I like rocks too but they can change PH. I’ve been doing rocks not many with many plants.
Driftwood will eventually start to break down but most don’t do it very quickly. 😊
Awesome if you want to really have your mind blown check out you tuber Gurune Kreatif poel He builds the most amazing and creative aquascapes totally unique!!
The driftwood exploding style just strikes me as odd and not natural at all.
Haha! It’s fascinating what different people see/like/don’t like, isn’t it? …exploding style… funny!
Can't lie. None of them gave any wow. Theyre exactly what you'd picture they'd look like if someone were to tell you they made a rock, driftwood, etc tank. I expected the unexpected. These seem like all you need is the money to byy pieces and drop them in. Cookie cutter. No disrespect but there's nothing new there.
