Probably not the standard of care in most settings I’m familiar with, since doing things like a Hemoglobin A1C, ASCVD risk assessment, etc. are much easier and inexpensive. Imaging markers are helpful for catching those folks who we didn’t get around to working up for DM who happen to have been imaged for something else.
So fascinating to learn that there are radiological findings in diabetes. Great lecture as always; really enjoy the stuff you make.
