Nice review my friend. Over the years I have lost all my multi tools. Looking to get a new one. And yes it is drilled for a clip, just include the clip Leatherman, give us the choice without spending more. Great review ❤
Is it just me or is the knife harder to open than it should be? Because I just got it and I thought it would be smooth. But I opened it and right away cut my thumb on the third try
I like mine, but it's crazy hard to open one handed! I also love LM and have carried them for decades... I'm trying to open and close my T2 a few hundred times a day...hopefully it gets easier. I did also buy the pocket clip and had it custom engraved from LM...so I'm committed...but not happy yet. I do find the package opener to be very useful and I use it a lot...I wonder if its because it's actually easier to open than the actual blade, lol?!
I just got my T4 today. I have to agree on the knife in this final production form is next to impossible to open single-handed. I am fairly good at thumb flip opening any folder including heavy tensioned lockbacks so I thought how hard can it be when I first saw your video. Boy was I wrong, you are completely correct, after taken it apart and I found the blade runs an entirely different cam lobe compares to the rest of the tools. They have designed it with safety in mind I am sure, I was unable to open single-handed unless I loosen the screws so much to the point the blade started to wobble. I will have to take it apart again grind down the spikey cam lobe by a mm to make the knife works with single thumb open when I have the time.
I ended up buying both models. After some carry I agree with your review. While I like the locking tools I think in the long run I’ll end up favoriting carrying a SAK again (better design and cost). Leatherman has made some great products, but has come up short with their Free series so far. Not sure I’m going to try the K line at this point when released?
Scott S. It’s hard to go wrong with SAK they are proven. I agree with you assessment. I will for sure get a K when they come out so I’ll do an unboxing and full review so you can see my thoughts. Thanks for watching man I love talking knives and tools.
Thinking about it now, I’d probably recommend buying a Rev before the T series. You get pliers, similar tools set, and a decent pocket clip for a better price.
It's interesting, but I think I still prefer Swiss Army Knives. For less money you can get some great fuller-feature SAKs like the Explorer or Ranger, and you can add suspension clips to the key rings. The Cybertool S is more money, but you get a whole bit driver. And, of course, their basic models are under $30, which liberates you from worrying about mucking 'em up. I hope Leatherman expands this T line, though. Maybe they'll come up with a tool set that attracts me more.
Pinki2019 yeah me too. I hope they release some models with issues fixed. SAK are so good. I love their Swisstools too for a plier based. Thanks for watching.
I like your review great info. I'm going to wait until it goes on sale, 40$ is really pricey It should start at $22-30
I'd prefer a squirt (smaller and more capable) or a swiss champ (heavier but way more usefull)
Is it possible to loosen up the screw for easier opening?

BiRD MAN Duncan I agree. Seems cheap and tacky. I can tell you I was more impressed by T series than P series.

It has a magnet. If you take one of the springs off it will be smoothere

Dennis Chau, Damn I just got mine today I was looking to see if anyone else was having problems with the knife.

Good looking tool. I agree that having to register a product is no fun.
Chris Loves Gear I will tell you LM has one of the best warranty in the industry.
