13:50 About the whole icloud/fappening hack, it wasn't actually ANYTHING to do with apple security, it was actually ppl that INDEPENDENTLY got access to the celebs iclouds back up accounts through social engineering and they were all in a group together and agreed to not release anything until years later so they could gather more ppl. which is actually more impressive when you think about the fact they didn't release anything early when some of the leaks were MEGA STARS at the time.
Seeing X argue the legality of it with chat is hilarious considering people have been doing this for decades and it's clearly not illegal. Yet they argue like the law's being decided on whether or not a guy who just learned about it 20 minutes ago can defend it.
I mean I kinda see where X is coming from. A vulnerability is not equal to an exploit. An exploit might be destructive and abuse a vulnerability to get into the system or get sensitive information, but the vulnerability itself isn't, since it's just an oversight. A popular real life example is the Heartbleed bug vulnerability. The vulnerability has been found after 2 years of existing and then fixed. But the vulnerability itself did no harm by just existing. It only would have become an exploit if someone used it to get sensitive data from the targeted server. A more fitting example to his cement and cocaine one in Minecraft terms would be: You have a gunpowder farm and a friend asks you to trade him some of the gunpowder. Does he want to craft rockets? Or something else? Who knows... you don't care since he gave you diamonds. Then that friend crafts TNT and griefs another player with it. Are you at fault for trading gunpowder to him? That's a good question. It might at least be morally faulty because you might suspect that your friend likes to grief other players and you could have prevented that. Is it legally faulty though? Questionable.
The difference is the gunpowder, and the cement, has a legit use. Even TNT can be used for mining. The vulnerability has no use besides to be exploited.
