We must be VERY careful about what we aspire in life, because such aspirations can imprison us and won't let go easily. I know people who made hatred aspirations in their lifes and now aren't able to free themselves from them. Never cultivate bad feelings and emotions. You have a good heart Superior Spy. But anyone can be free from Samsara. Someday, the dishonest trader will exhaust his bad kamma and with good kamma, can achieve aharantship.

Devadatta is still serving his bad karma in Avicii hell, I don't know which sutta it is but after then he will cultivate paramitas and become a pratyekabuddha
