For sure! I'd love to see her in more movies/shows and definitely in more games. Especially in a certain Nintendo franchise fighter that I've heard's pretty smashing 👀👀👀
I actually tried to find this guy's name to see if he'd VA'd anything else, but even under IMDB there were loads of actors just under "Additional Voices" and I couldn't find him. Even the credits forgot him.
The Xenoblade games seem to hire less prestigious voice actors, so budding voice actors and actresses are hired instead of long time veterans with a seasoned resume. It's probably because Nintendo makes games with a small budget so that they can be profitable even when they only sell a million units, whereas most AAA games need to sell several million copies to be profitable (and they hire famous actors to voice their characters). But they make up for it by giving the characters a unique voice direction to make their personality stand out instead of just sounding like every normal person in the world. I prefer it this way because it makes these characters more memorable. I art and media that is done well with a budget instead of spending a ton of money on super high production but the product end up being all production quality but no heart or creativity.
They also get a lot of people who haven't done much voice acting, even if they've done a lot of screen acting. For example Jenna Coleman who played Clara in Doctor Who also voice acted Melia in Xenoblade 1
If Melia ever comes back, trying to get her original voice actor would be difficult. And Melia is my favorite character, so that would make me sad if they have to change her voice.
I'll admit I was one of those Xenoblade fans that was not impressed with the what was showcased in the Nintendo direct for Xenoblade voice acting. But I came away completely in love with each and every character and couldn't imagine these characters without their voice actors. Skye you did a phenomenal job and I look forward your next performance.
this is a wonderful interview. Skye is so sweet and inspirational, and ArchTalko led the conversation with such grace and poise. Also the ending is definitely 10/10 this is the first time I happened upon one of your vids, consider me a fan!
I was smiling throughout the entire video. I love your content, and I loved Skye as Pyra/Mythra, so I got so excited when this popped up in my sub box. Thank you so much for this!
Good interview, nicely presented as well :) You've got such a great voice for a host. I failed my driving test one day before the new changes were implemented in the UK so I feel her pain haha
Aww this was a great interview! I really enjoyed getting to hear how Skye got into acting and the advice she had to give! Really excited to watch her Playthough of the game!!!
Skye's unease doing Pyra's first scene may have worked to her advantage. It kinda fits how Pyra starts with a sad and withdrawn character and gradually lightens up over her time with Rex. Also kudos on the tone shift between her and Mythra, very successful I say. I'm a little surprised that Skye didn't use her natural accent, especially given how frequently we hear English accents in Xenoblade. I wonder, was that her call, or did the director(s) want the Blade characters to sound different?
Might be direction. I mean, she was a processor for Elysium. Elysium and its associated constructs (Beanstalk, Radamanthus) are US installations. At least, that is implied by the street signs in Morytha and the English plastered all voer the world tree.
All the Blades have American accents, probably for the above reason. I think this is a pretty great decision, because paying attention to voices can foreshadow some amazing reveals, as well as fleshing out the world. Each titan has an accent, all from the UK (or Australia, with Uraya it seems) so they went with an entirely different accent for the Blades. I really love the localization of this game, if you can't tell.
Well, if the literal world is their survivor's (avoiding spoilers) doing then that logic should apply to everyone. I can understand the directors wanting Blades to sound unique, though. Even if a certain flesh-eater pops up as an exception.
Gonna be honest, had a pretty big crush on Pyra. Her being the more relaxed and sweet side was more up my alley, but it's kinda cool when you also have a friend who prefers Mythra for her no-nonsense attitude. Lemme tell you, when you have us being that invested in both of them separately, the ending makes you cry like a goddamn baby and I love it. Man, I love the voice acting too. It really sells both sides of her as totally different people, no matter how much these two try to argue they're the same. I know they purposefully sound similar, but Skye sure fooled me into thinking it was two different VA's for a while. So thanks for contributing an unforgettable adventure. Now I'm gonna do it all over again in New Game Plus and love it even more.
UPDATE: Skye's 1st stream'll be on Tuesday, May 1st starting at 8pm (London time). If you can't make it to the streams, the VOD's are gonna be uploaded onto her TH-cam channel, so make sure to follow and subscribe! Skye's Twitch: www.twitch.tv/skyedevabennett Skye's TH-cam: th-cam.com/channels/Zcd1Wa8goxvh_b6dSsg7ew.htmlfeatured?disable_polymer=1
Just finished the game and damn I can't think of playing anything else. Thank you for this, I loved her voice as both Pyra and Mythra, now I am subscribed to your channel hoping to see more stuff like this. Thank you again!
She is a great voice actor for Pyra/Mythra. The game was fun and great. Still trying to get through New Game + to get the Torna Blades. I enjoyed this whole interview! She was happy the whole way! Love it!
Skye and Daniel Barker (Zeke) were the standout voice actors in this game. I love indepth interviews like this. I hope we can see interviews from Catrin-Mai Huw (Nia) and Kirsty Mitchll (Morag) in the future.
Great interview! You both seemed to know what you guys were talking about and it was pretty fun to listen to. It felt a bit more personal and fun as oppose to a typical boring news interviews.
This was a really nice interview! I usually find that TH-cam interviews are done by these really clumsy blabbering people who don't really know what they're doing, but with this one it all felt very natural, and I very much liked hearing you and Skye discuss these different topics! Keep it up man, you've earned a sub from me! (Also, MAN, those graphics look insane! Love it!)
I'm so going to watch her stream! She gave Pyra and Mythra really beautiful voices. I hope she's going to grow to big and have a successful career, because she really deserves it!
She did a really good job voicing Pyra and Mythra. It took me a bit of time to grow on her but after I played long enough she really grew on me. Good thing there’s LOTS of dialogue for them to really grow on you and shine
I find it interesting how closer to the beginning, she would record one first and then respond to herself as the other, while later on she would record parts in one go and flip-flop on the fly.
Remember to give pyra and Mythra some Respect I Do Enjoy Mythra Charater To Protect and Attack thanks to Smash Bros Mythra Is How I Got Xenoblade 2 in the First Place.
That was an awesome interview! I wish you would've asked her about any future work like.. oh idk.. smash 5.... haha not that she could've answered but it would've been cool to gauge her reaction!
Hoy no me sentía del todo bien pero al ver esto me siento increíblemente bien, se que este video ya lleva bastante tiempo pero quiero decirte gracias. :^)
I'm not a major anime fan anymore.... but Sykes work on these two characters is like the best VA performance I've heard in years a deserving smash roster fighter 6:50 the way she answers this question was interesting....
TheEniema así es bro ya que para mi Xenoblade X y Xenogears son los mejores Xenoblade 2 lo complete y no me pareció la gran cosa pero ojo quizá porque soy un fan enfermo de los MECHAS je je!
I really liked her performance overall, but there are a few scenes early on in the game where it seemed like she was given bad direction and there was an abrupt disconnect between what was happening on screen and the way she delivered the line. Namely when Pyra reacts to being called heavy by Rex.
KraeganWolf I feel like most of the game the VAs had a hard time getting their lines across with proper vocalics. Almost as if they were given their lines out of context or reference from the game itself.
That moment in life when I thought the actress, Chloe BENNETT, who played SKYE in Marvel's Agents of Shield, is the same one who played Pyra/Mythra... (facepalm) "...estupido"
I really hope she grows to be big and has a successful career
I really hope she sees your "This is Pyra/Mythra" video.
Nameless Gamer 29 She actually did.
I didn’t know that. One of the funniest Xenoblade vids I’ve ever seen still.
For sure! I'd love to see her in more movies/shows and definitely in more games. Especially in a certain Nintendo franchise fighter that I've heard's pretty smashing 👀👀👀
ArchTalko is it SNK HEROINES Tag Team Frenzy?
Get Ardanian soldier VA on here next. Think you can take him?!
Don't forget him!
sephatu he's a guest that we'll never forget.
Y E S
I actually tried to find this guy's name to see if he'd VA'd anything else, but even under IMDB there were loads of actors just under "Additional Voices" and I couldn't find him. Even the credits forgot him.
Sorry, who? I feel like I've forgotten him
For someone who hasn't voice in any video games prior, she handled the dual role of Pyra and Mythra very well.
very much agreed.
Gotta start somewhere.
She made no effort to make them sound different from one another like the Japanese VA did.
Palidor : Really, I thought it was two different people until I read the Blade art thing in the game.
xxNinTwinDoxx triple role for pneuma
Wow, her american accent is so convincing..
Yeah but there were a few moments where her accent slipped a bit but they were almost unnoticeable
Well she is born to british and american parents...
Loki Shooter she tricked me tho
Listening to Skye speak is making me unreasonably giddy
That was such a nice interview! Felt like I was listening to Pyra/Mythra but... not!?? :'D Super sweet!
I think it's the accent.
*W h e n 2 u n i v e r s e s c o l l i d e*
Yo, that Mythra at the end killed me xD
Had the biggest grin in my face the entire video.

This game probably had a huge budget, but there probably wasn’t much spent on actors.
They only had 40 developers. The budget for this game is quite small when compared to the likes of Breath of the Wild or modern Final Fantasy games.
Xenoblade x had a lot of anime voice actors in it like Cassadra Lee Moris and Matthew Mencer as well Caltin Glass
18:17 perfect timing, there's a noise just as tora gets hit
Octonomic wow
Octonomic lmao this makes me laugh too much
Lol even Skye knows the true glory of Turters
I'll admit I was one of those Xenoblade fans that was not impressed with the what was showcased in the Nintendo direct for Xenoblade voice acting. Arch this is on a whole different level
your third most popular video is Shulk just saying "mmm"
I'm just
h
hhhhh
she nailed it. i cant say which of her 2 characters i like more. cant really have one without the other.
He Pyra sounds more natural, but her Mythra is just funnier in most situations.
Yami yea but mythra is something spoilery yet awesome. like who doesnt want to have that by their side you know?
The main story cutscenes are almost 14 hours
this is a wonderful interview. Skye is so sweet and inspirational, and ArchTalko led the conversation with such grace and poise. Also the ending is definitely 10/10

TheKingRiki I appreciate it my dude! I’m really happy you enjoyed it :3
Good interview, nicely presented as well :) You've got such a great voice for a host.
I failed my driving test one day before the new changes were implemented in the UK so I feel her pain haha
SBM oh no! Haha it sounds like they must’ve made the test pretty brutal up there
(Thank you so much for the kind words!)
I can't wait until she does her stream of Xenoblade Chronicles 2! :)))
Aww this was a great interview! I really enjoyed getting to hear how Skye got into acting and the advice she had to give! Really excited to watch her Playthough of the game!!!
Vasko Games Oh, you're here too.
Skye's unease doing Pyra's first scene may have worked to her advantage. It kinda fits how Pyra starts with a sad and withdrawn character and gradually lightens up over her time with Rex. Also kudos on the tone shift between her and Mythra, very successful I say.

Skye is so sweet and very reasonable to voice the characters.

No problem! I forgot to mention the VOD's, so figured a pinned comment could help it be a little more visible :3
This is a really fun interview and it sounds like you both were having a lot of fun with it. Here's to hear more from her in the future!
Just finished the game and damn I can't think of playing anything else. Thank you for this, I loved her voice as both Pyra and Mythra, now I am subscribed to your channel hoping to see more stuff like this. Thank you again!
I'm surprised your first question wasn't "Are you the Aegis?!"
*CUE EPIC FIGHT SCENE!*
I'm acquainted with her irl, good to see her xenoblade role getting such love!
She is a great voice actor for Pyra/Mythra. The game was fun and great. Still trying to get through New Game + to get the Torna Blades. I enjoyed this whole interview! She was happy the whole way! Love it!
Thanks a lot. I really like how Skye's work on the two makes them sound like two different people genuinely.
Skye and Daniel Barker (Zeke) were the standout voice actors in this game. I love indepth interviews like this. I hope we can see interviews from Catrin-Mai Huw (Nia) and Kirsty Mitchll (Morag) in the future.
I would DIE to see an interview with Kirsty Mitchell! 🤩
That was a nice interview. I really liked the Mythra voice at the end!
i really hope someone records the stream, i don't want to miss it!
Wow great video I've seen in a while this was nice to listen! Love the flow and process this interview took place and ended off.
I'm so going to watch her stream!
She gave Pyra and Mythra really beautiful voices. I hope she's going to grow to big and have a successful career, because she really deserves it!
Amazing! Now Interview Nias voice actor pleeease!!!
Watch--she'll probably be American.
And Daniel Barker (Zeke's VA).

Great interview. Love Xenoblade 2 so much.

WAHHHHHAHHHHHAHHHH
o
HIIYYAAAH
This is such a great interview!
First thing I did after hearing pyra in the game was look up the va online. Skye literally made the game for me, thank you for that.
Skye's natural accent is actually really nice! ^^
We need to have a talk with Rex’s voice actor
She did a really good job voicing Pyra and Mythra. It took me a bit of time to grow on her but after I played long enough she really grew on me. Good thing there’s LOTS of dialogue for them to really grow on you and shine
I find it interesting how closer to the beginning, she would record one first and then respond to herself as the other, while later on she would record parts in one go and flip-flop on the fly.
Great interview I'm glad I happened to come across this video I'll definitely subscribe
Remember to give pyra and Mythra some Respect I Do Enjoy Mythra Charater To Protect and Attack thanks to Smash Bros Mythra Is How I Got Xenoblade 2 in the First Place.
I love the ambiance of her voice at the end of her sentences I can feel her character!
I wouldn't have thought she was from the UK.
I just love your Voice 🤩 and you looks great:pp cheers keep going
I'm not a major anime fan anymore.... but Sykes work on these two characters is like the best VA performance I've heard in years
a deserving smash roster fighter 6:50 the way she answers this question was interesting....
Pyra and mythra are my favorite characters in the game.
Subbed.
I really hope someone can get Morag's VA for an interview
She did a great job in this game. I like Pyra the most in this game.
I love her so much! The ending had me smiling nonstop
Man, I love her voice.
Woah! this is so cool!
Such a beautiful person.
Hola / hi
She's as pretty as the blades she voices. I hope to hear more of her in the future.
Toad is my fav Smash Bros. character
Follow her on Twitter she will soon post her twitch name where she will do a full stream of the game
Al Weaver is hidding somewhere! We must find him!! For VandhAaAaAaAaAaAaAam!!!
Yup. Her normal tone does sound lazy, and more Mythra-like.
Still, bless this woman!
I really liked her performance overall, but there are a few scenes early on in the game where it seemed like she was given bad direction and there was an abrupt disconnect between what was happening on screen and the way she delivered the line.

KraeganWolf I feel like most of the game the VAs had a hard time getting their lines across with proper vocalics. Almost as if they were given their lines out of context or reference from the game itself.
She has such an excellent voice. So damn charming.
Trying to imagine pyra/mythra with her natural accent and it's really throwing me for a loop
I guess she can main herself now
i would've been offended if Skye said anything other than Turters being the best Party member!
I swear she sounds like yuno gasai from future diary
That moment in life when I thought the actress, Chloe BENNETT, who played SKYE in Marvel's Agents of Shield, is the same one who played Pyra/Mythra... (facepalm) "...estupido"
i wonder does she know what they said at the end
During the whole playthough of the game I thought the voice actress of Pyra was AMERICAN. She sounds lovely on her british accent.
I like how he added only #pyra without #mythra
It's interesting that she has an australian accent but I would've never guessed from her voice acting.
Never would have guessed that she's British. Totally caught me off guard.
She's English? Wow, she did a really good job of convincing us
Omg... I'm in love. 😍
She has a beautiful voice.
2:35 - So Skye needs a Driver then? XD
Repping London 💕
I didn't even notice her accent in the game
who else watching while grinding in this great game
She has an angelic voice
Amazing interview. Xenoblade 2 is my favorite game. Loved the voice acting. Can you try contacting other of the cast? It would be cool.
She didn’t meet Rex’s voice !?
That's pretty standard for voice acting jobs. They don't usually meet the people they play off of.
Thats kinda sucks ya know?? :v
15:46 Patrician taste, there.
wait she's from london her accent in the game sounds more like an american woman sure fooled me there
First time hearing Pyra/Mythra in english~
e T I K A L I K E S M I N E C R A F T
What a great interview! Also you sound like JohnnyAwesome. Are you JohnnyAwesome?
Yesssss my favorite game ever make every u can so they will be in the new smash Bros
