I swear you’re describing my sister’s cat.
He’s a drama king and will hiss a lot, sometimes for seemingly no reason. He also loves to be included but hates to be perceived, especially when there are guests around. He’ll come to check out what’s up and try to find a safe spot to just observe, but as soon as people direct attention towards him, he’ll run. They don’t even have to try to pet/touch him, they just have to look at him or talk to him.
When there’s no guests (I only kind of count as a guest), he’ll come hang out in the same room as you, and sometimes if you’re lucky he’ll come for cuddles or pets.
He gets overstimulated a lot; I think that he started really getting grouchy when they brought home their corgi, but he also has just a bit of a dramatic grouchy personality

I think this is the first time I’ve commented on one of your videos, but I’ve been watching for a while now.
I was SA’d by my brother for multiple years when I was a teen. I knew it was wrong but he made me feel like 1. It was normal (and I was young and didn’t really know any better at first) and 2. He made me believe that no one would believe me if I tried to tell them.
It stopped when I was 16 when my boyfriend (now my husband ❤) learned what was happening and threatened my brother. He cared more about another man saying no than he ever cared about me saying no.
I finally told my family a couple weeks before I turned 18, thinking if they didn’t believe me then I could just run away and they wouldn’t be able to make me come back since I would be an adult.
Fortunately my parents and the rest of my siblings believed me immediately. I could have (and looking back, definitely SHOULD have) pressed charges against him, but I was scared and didn’t want to be retraumatized so I chose to let it fade away from memory after my family cut contact with him.
Anyway, all that to say that I really really empathize with the husband. If my husband had not been so brave as a teen and stood up for me I don’t know if I ever would have been able to escape from it. I’d like to think that by the time I was an adult I would have just run or finally told someone, but the grooming could have gone so much further by then. I can’t confidently say that I wouldn’t have been deluded enough to think it was normal. Even if I didn’t think it was normal, would I have been brave enough to do anything to stop it? I wasn’t brave when I was a teen, would I have been any better after another several years of being groomed? Probably not.
It’s messed up. I feel like my story could have pretty easily gone that direction if things hadn’t happened just the right way at just the right time. I feel so bad for him (and rest in peace, I almost certainly would have done the same in his situation) and I feel terrible for the wife that has to live with that for the rest of her life. I hope she’s happy and building a new life for herself, wherever she is now.

And I know that story went a way different direction than you thought it would go, but thank you for sticking with it and including it in the video. It is such a hard thing to even try to understand for most people, I think sharing stories like that is important so people can be aware that this sort of thing does happen, unfortunately way more frequently than most people would assume.

When you looked up "open family" it gave you results for different theories of family development. I just took a college class and we went over this topic. But open family system does not mean what you think it does. That weird ass family is just creepy asf, its not a real term.

Every cat has a different personality. I got mine from a foster at a shelter and he was with his siblings but when I got him he has social anxiety which same 😂 and other cat that I got was from a parking lot and he is very crazy both get along yet very shy around people would definitely come out here and there when they see that the guest isn’t trying to pet them. I love my boys ❤ (Neo & Apollo)
I know that's what I think too but sometimes I feel bad for her bc she is so defensive :( I just want her to accept love from other people hahah but I don't think she will. she loves me and my bf tho and even if guests are over and she's in her pissy mood she would neverrr direct it towards us. My cat is the same way😂 I have never met another cat that's just an ass to guests lol and mine grew up with his siblings until 9 weeks but he's been with us the rest of the time. He's fine with us and he went to my brother, but anyone else he will hiss and growl at them😂

I also got my cat at 8 weeks old from a friend whose cat had kittens. I tried to socialize her and she is a little demon and will only tolerate some pets then hisses and DESPISES being picked up. But she really likes to hang out and will follow us to the rooms we go to and pretend she’s just there because she wants to not because we’re there.
Just some feedback regarding the true crime! Love you and love your Reddit vids and am sad I’ve almost watched them all already! I’m also a big true crime girly so I watched one of yours. I feel like just reading the story from online isn’t that interesting. In the best vids I’ve seen, they learn about the case and tell it in their own words and really get into the story telling aspect. Maybe that will help. All love and no hate! Just trying to help you succeed :)

I just am not sure if that’s something my mental health can take 😂 when I dive too deep into true crime I start getting more anxious and paranoid in my daily life so I’m not sure I’d be able to do 2 stories a week like that 😂❤️ maybe I’ll do once a week or every other week or soemthing… still working out the kinks.
