    Hi there! I’m doing a similar thing. I work in corporate but I decided to transition into Healthcare doing radiology. I recently landed a position as a PCT so I can get acquainted with a hospital environment and healthcare period. I want to move into RT with my hospital when I complete my program. I thought I’d be afraid of healthcare but I’m enjoying it so far..
    Best to you sis! & Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈
    I’m 47 making this transition. My children are grown though..

      Ohhh I wanted to ask how did you do clinicals while working corporate or did you have to let it go by then?

      Girl go aheadddddd. I love me some corporate & I love my job but the reality of it is this economy is going to cut my time. I just wanted something that wasn’t dispensable. So right nor I have best of both worlds. Maybe informatics later on in life but we shall see. I kept my job. My clinicals and class was in the evening so nothing interfered with anything. Even now I still have my corporate job. I never fully let go because I’d rather get severance 🥲

    Look at you girl, being a whole nurse. I tell you what this senior semester has hands lol. We have a week break after Monday and go back for our last minimester October 19. At this point I'll have 7 weeks left. I think I'm a lil too chunky for Figs. I know they have plus size but I'm hearing they aren't good for curvy plus, we'll see. I'm debating on a graduation photoshoot. Girl I'm so darn happy for you!

      DO THE PHOTOSHOOT! These next 7 weeks are going to fly by. Celebrate yourself always! I hear good things for Mandela for the curvy girls. I’ll be sure to ask around, and post it. Finish strong nurse bae 🤍

    Im leaving being a cfo to go to lpn school. The school im going to has a 12 month lpn then a 6 month bridge. Being in finance, i can see this country is headed to a hard recession in maybe 6-9 months. I was gearing up for medical school when i had kids in college so finance worked as far as schedule and pay but im sick of this shit. Im tryna get baack to healthcare where youll always have a J.O.B..

      I've been saying this, we can literally see exactly where this is going and better prepare, the problem is, no one listens until its too late.I don't mind the corporate world and this comes with the territory but being financially stable is a must!

      Heyyyy pretty girl, I honestly love the ER. You learn and see so much. No to mention the experience can get you into different specialties. It can be overwhelming, especially if you onboard towards the end of the year oct/nov time frame. However, if you can push through that, it’s a breeze.
      🤟🏾LPN Gang 💕💕💕

    Im struggling with taking the leap with nursing school. If you don’t mind me asking why are you leaving your corporate job? Healthcare is where my heart is but i also need to survive and pay bills and im not sure if i can do a pay cut with having a 1 yr old! ): how did you make the decision to pull the trigger? btw love your channel so happy i found someone with a similar path that has gotten it done.

      And did you have any healthcare experience prior to this? Or do you do any shadowing to know you wanted to do this profession?

    • @Nubn
      @Nubn  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey love, I work for banks so I can literally see when a recession and layoff are coming. The world isn’t saying it but we are definitely in a depression. So even though I would love to stay in corporate I needed something that was intangible. Healthcare is always going to be here and if at any point and time u decide u want to pick up and leave to another state you’ll always have a job. Corporate not so much. Now that pay difference😵‍💫😵‍💫 crazy as hell especially as a new grad BUT it also depends on your state. That’s also why I kept corporate because even though I could stay afloat. I didn’t feel comfortable letting go, at least not yet and I’d rather have corporate pay me my severance 🤭, so I just tough it out. Again this is all for now. I had no prior health care experience, the most I did was take a CNA course it doesn’t hurt to have and some colleges actually require it before applying. I’m a single mom and my options were limited, so my path of choice may look longer to some but I know it’s all going to fall into place. 🤍

    Do you plan on keeping your cooperate job?

    • @Nubn
      @Nubn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As of right now yes, I’d be taking a pay cut if I just jumped into nursing & id rather have my funds stacked for a rainy day & have the fail safe ready. New grad pay is decent for some but it’s low to me.
