I can't understand why the music of Busi and the musicians and singers who worked with her is so underappreciated. I spent 5 years listening almost exclusively to her 3 main albums: Babhemu, Urban Zulu, and Freedom. I listen to other music now as well, but her music is still my favorite music.
EbaThenji impela bambemu ngiyakhonza akuzwali ngani na. EbaThenjini ekhaya komama mina ngiyamemeza akuzwali ngani na. EbaThenjini enhla nemvuna mina ngiyamemeza akuzwali ngani na. We Malume we Ntonthonga. EbaThenjini enhla neMvune mina ngiyamemeza kanti akuzwakali yini. The song is about this young man missing his mom's side of the family and he is sending love to his mom's family . The family falls under the baThembu clan referred in the song as ebaThenjini(Locative) and it is situated in Emvuna . The name of his uncle is Ntothonga. The original song is by the late maskandi artist Mfaz'Omnyama Khumalo Hope this helps!
Siya, s'khona kunjane bafu, please mfo if you can put down the down lyrics mfowethu. I'm Tswana ffrom my mother's side but im Ndebele from my father's side. This song moves me mie auti.
To whom it may concern I have been listening to this song for over a year everyday would someone please take a few minutes and translate the words to English thank you so much
The translation, she's pretty much saying her greetings to "EBathenjini"(which is where her mother was born and her mother's family). That's all the song is about really. She keep saying "EBathenjini I'm saying my greeting and why can't they hear my hollering greetings and greet me back" The song I think is about her late family members that she misses and has some nostalgia about the good old times and great experiences they had. She's thinking about them and missing greeting them and call on their names but now they won't call her name back and greet her back because they're dead and with their ancestors. She named the few(her mother's brother's name etc)
She's dedicating this song to Mfaz'omnyama who was a great maskandi singer who passed away...note tat Mama Busi has since passed away as well... Thank God their Legendary Music lives on...🎶🎵🎤🎛🎶🎵
