- Squishy Hatter goes backstage for the last time. Presents are given, tears are shed, and many many many hugs go around.
There's one thing in this video I feel like I should explain. It was actually a very touching moment, but it seems strange if you do not know the story behind it. Leanne says "Remember how we met?" as she puts on her hatter hat. We just met him in Parade of Dreams back in 2008. Every single time we saw him, he would run up to Leanne and pull her hat down. So she says "Kay, if that doesn't do it....Remember how we met? Go ahead. Pull it over my head...one last time." It's bringing the beginning of our friendship with him back to the end of our friendship. When she did this everyone started crying. It was an emotional moment for all of us.
Thank you, Hatter. Thank you for the last three years. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for introducing me to so many wonderful people. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for always greeting me with a smile and a hug. Thank you for being the first cast member friend I made at Disney. Thank you for trusting us while others thought we were weird. Thank you for everything. I love you more than I could ever say.

I love how it all started by Bri calling him Squishy one day and it stuck

That's one of the most honest hugs I've ever seen! You can tell he really loves you too. It almost literally made me cry :)

This is so sad to see him leave Disneyland. I'd never met him before. May this Hatter be in the Disneyland Cast Member Memories.
Wow, I'm crying so hard right now!! This is so sad and sweet. Its so adorable how close a relationship you ladies had with him! Squishy is one of my favorites, and sadly I'll never get to meet him. :( Regardless, I wish Mr. Squishy the best of luck in whatever it is he is venturing to do. We'll all miss you, Squishy! :)
Ahh I was watching this and reading the description only to find myself starting to tear up. I sat there going "WHY AM I CRYING!?" I have only watched video's of him on here, but I wished I could go to Disneyland one day. I live near Disney World, and always miss the chance to meet our Hatter. It's sad to see him go, but I wish him the best in whatever he does. His video's have inspired me to go towards my dream to be a Disney cast member, and embrace my love for Disney.
Why do I see these videos? Why? First the video from huitzi21 with, "Goodbye Mary Poppins" now this. Who has the onions? :-(

awwwwthis was the greatest video i have ever seen....i love the emotions going around now and it made me sad but happy at the same time :] i never actually got to meet squishy but from all the videos you posted i feel like he was genuinely a great guy :]
Aww. Thank you for sharing this! I was lucky enough to see him on my last vist to Disneyland and he was so amazing! I painted him a picture and had given it to a friend of his two years ago. She thankful saw that it reached his hands and then just this last trip I meet him and asked him if he remembers getting that picture and he said yes and that it was great to meet the aritist and gave me a big hug! It was so wonderful. Then he mad me a hat out of a napkin! ^_^
Oh, my god! When you told me he was gone it was on my birthday, I just run into a dark room and cryed my eyes out.

Brooke, I've been watching your videos (Lizzi's and Leanne's too) since I found them in summer '08, especially the videos of Squishy, and each time I'd watch one, they'd make me smile SO much. It almost felt like I was there with you guys. I'm stuck on the east coast and have been to WDW countless times, but you've all made me want to go to Disneyland so much more than anything. Thanks for sharing the magic with all of us, and I wish Squishy the best on whatever he does next:)

waaaaa he was my favorite! I'm bawling like a baby and i was just at disneyland last month and he wasnt there. I'll miss you Squishy Hatter! Your videos always knew how to make me have a good laugh when I was feeling crappy!
@jaber4jaber Notice the fact that everyone is crying, including him. Notice how we say "Thank you for the last three years" Notice the description. I'm sure you can figure out why we're saying good bye.

Mr Hatter told us himself he was leaving about a month or two before it happened. Typically the only way to find out is to be friends with the character or know people who are.

I haven't been to Disneyland in AGES, so I've never met any of these Hatters, but Squishy was something special and I've enjoyed watching his antics through your videos. Oh... :( I've watched this a few times now and keep getting teary-eyed. I think part of that is because I'll never get to meet him now, and part of it is that it's easy to see not just how awesome he is as a person but how much he meant to you guys. Well. While it's sad to see him go, I know I'm thankful for you guys making vids so people who can't get to the parks can still get a little magic (and to Squishy for being awesome!). Best of luck to him!
I watched videos of Squishy in between hospital stays and during my recuperation after being very sick. On days that were unbearable and all I could do was lay down with my laptop, I watched your videos and Brianna's videos, and they made me smile. I'm very sad to see him go. I hope that whatever he's moving onto next, makes him happy.

Aww...This made me tear up a little too as well. I wanted to go to Disney Land & meet him. Even though i never got to, watching all these videos of him seemed like I have met him. Squishy Hatter was a cool Hatter & a really cool person. I hope he does well with his future endeavors.

I was there! :) it WAS a sad day...I never really got to hang out with him cause when I got my pass he started to stop doing sundays but at least I got to see him really the second time but the last!

Wow! Omg, so sad. Made me cry. He's such a legend!! He's made me laugh so much since I found him on youtube so much thanks to all the Sunday crew. So sad there won't be any more current clips of him. It's really nice he got a retirement party and didn't just disappear though!

@maddibearrr I'm more lucky than that....I'm so blessed to have been able to spend the last three years of my life with that man...I'm so very lucky to have this man as a friend.
Did Robert go? Ah, I'm crying again. The video I saw earlier made me lose it and here I go again. Thank you for posting Brooke. I really will miss Squishy. He was not in my life as frequently as he was for you all but every time I came to the park he was willing to talk with me and always was so kind. Some of my best memories are of running around Fantasyland with him. I love you Squishy, Disneyland is going to be very different now.

T^T No wonder it has been raining for the past 2 days at my city. The Squishy we all love has gone away :(. It's sad I never got to meet him...but he always brightened my days through your videos and many others of squishy! ^,^ Squishy will live on forever! :D (and I was going to D-land this June...I was hoping to meet him soooo bad for my 21st B-day :( but its ok, videos of him still make me happy ^^)
