What really saved the Big 12 was the PAC 12, Big 10 and ACC not taking any of the 8 remaining universities…it made the remaining schools in the conference work together to find a solution.
Whoa!!! You may be on to something there smart guy!
It’s not over…expansion can still happen for the PAC12 or B1G. Timing was not right since there were no clear favorites. After the new PAC12 contract is signed and depending on what the final $ amount I see an expansion into the central time zone.
I would agree that the big 12 was lucky that the rest of the p5 wanted no parts it’s horrible for the aac which I feel bad for Memphis who has to get left behind
@@kgcnola The PAC-12 is in rough shape - I couldn’t see them poaching Big 12 members anyhow. Even with UT and OU leaving it wouldn’t be a move up. The political differences make it even more improbable.
With the ACC it would also be a lateral move imo, but WVU would benefit from regional rivalries and shorter travel times. Fortunately for the Big 12, though, WVU isn’t a very good program atm. They aren’t worth poaching.
The Big 10 seemed like the conference to be worried about when it comes to poaching, but their “alliance” with the PAC-12 and ACC despite being in a class above them suggests that they want stability.
Ultimately I think the Big 12 teams that remained are in a better place than they would’ve been if they were picked apart. Losing OU and UT sucks but it’s not the end of the world, and the incoming programs look promising. The level of competition will be very high and it’ll be an exciting conference to watch. I doubt the Big 12 gets cannibalized again anytime soon
@@joeykelly5642 Acc and big ten moves are ahead of Pac expansion. I agree big 12 teams won't move west unless ku, wvu, isu are leaving.
The AAC will now have three teams with the name Owls Temple, Rice and Florida Atlantic. The owls have come home to roost in the new AAC.
SMU and Memphis might need to go independent
Thats what i say Memphis too good of a program to consistently be disrespected like we rookies to the game
New look Big12 by the end of the decade
East Division - UCF, USF, Cincinnati, Memphis, Houston, Baylor
West Division - Boise State, Brigham Young, Wyoming, Colorado State, TCU, SMU
Where's Oklahoma State?
@@polarbear6032 Gone to the PAC most likely
@@daeers3516 So they'd be Winning every year cause the PAC-12 is a joke
Charlotte is a good pick. It’s one of the fastest growing cities in the US in one of the fastest growing states.
Charlotte is very good football/basketball recruiting area their growth potential like UAB UTSA FAU in the markets they're in is extremely high i can easily see investment, stadium expansion and the Richardson family money doesn't hurt either.
You're absolutely right. The upside is amazing. UNCC has over thirty thousand students. Everything there is new and shiny.
@@johngarnergarner6724
Mike Aresco has done it before.
Charlotte,UAB UTSA FAU has great upside
I graduated from Charlotte over 25 years ago. The size of the school has exploded. It's somewhere between 30-35,000 students. It's only had football 9 years but the Charlotte area is loaded with talent. If they can recruit just some of that talent they will be good over time. Charlotte is also the second fastest growing city in the country and 15th largest. The school is also about to start expansion on the stadium. They originally built it with 15,000 seats just to play FCS the first few years. Covid delayed the expansion but the plans have it holding 40,000 when completed. I've been to a couple of games and they are starting to build a football following. Charlotte has always been decent in basketball. We actually have a Final Four appearance in 1977 with Cedric "Cornbread" Maxwell of Boston Celtic fame. Not bad for a school that wasn't started until the 1940's.
@@ragingbull154 Charlotte has tremendous upside. I've been on the UNCC campus several times. Everything is new and growing like crazy. I think they have surpassed both ECU and UNC in enrollment. I'd bet the AAC would require them to enlarge the stadium. I go to a lot of games at ECU and they seat about 52,000
Rumors around WV is that Marshall leave CUSA for the Sun Belt.
Does that still include JMU, ODU, and Southern Miss?
@@reverend_wintondupree the Charleston Gazette didn't report on any other school, only MU.
Marshall and Southern Miss make the most sense, not surprised a reporter in WV knows more about one half than the other, though.
The CUSA-Sun Belt merger seems much more plausible then it did a few months ago.
i wish the little rock trojans could have a football program in the sunbelt.. they did a feasibility assessment for it a couple years ago, and squashed it for the time being. we’ve got the stadium. it holds 60K+ and the biggest things going in it are usl league two soccer, and highschool state championships. that’s not counting the bone they throw down from the palace in fayetteville every now and then.
If the Sun Belt adds Marshall, Southern Miss, Liberty and James Madison they could very well be the best G5 conference. Although I like Louisiana Tech, I don't think the Belt will add them.
Old dominion over liberty
@@Sloppyplane37 yeah I actually agree.
Marshall won't go to the sunbelt they are already in a higher conference. The sunbelt is the conference of fcs teams moving up to fbs lately
@@rorybierman8973 this might have been true 7-10 years ago, but the Sun Belt is far better than CUSA from a competitive, financial and exposure standpoint.
The Sun Belt's current TV deal crushes CUSAs deal with CBS.
@@rorybierman8973 cuss is dead, sun belt is much better now
UAB and UTSA are no brainers. Both programs can come in and be competitive and each has the potential to be premiere teams in the conference. Florida Atlantic makes sense as well; while not a football powerhouse, they have had a pretty good program(for the most part) and keeps a second footprint in Florida. I understand Rice and Charlotte because of the markets. Not trying to hate on North Texas, but that’s the school to me that really makes this look watered down. I understand that they are near the Dallas/Fort Worth area and give you a 4th Texas school, but I feel like Louisiana or App State would have been better options(even though they don’t give you big markets). There’s no reason all your teams have to come out of Conference USA.
Happy for UTSA
Sunbelt is looking really good right now
Losers belt
AAC just turned into the MAC.
I agree with you about Southern Miss. During my 4 years as a student at FSU, we played Southern Miss every year and they were very good and almost on par with Ole Miss and Miss. St. This was during the Brett Favre days. I know I’m giving away my age here. I graduated from FSU in 1981. I know that Southern Miss has fallen off considerably since then but they still have a very good brand. The American Conference should definitely consider them as an addition.
As someone who has lived in Mississippi my entire life, there have been some years that Southern Miss was the best football team in Mississippi. It wasn't that long ago that Larry Fedora had that program on the up and up
I am a Memphis fan so I am really stressed out about what is happening right now. The Big 12 wants us but we will not make stadium changes despite FedEX and others funding it. Our president is really quiet right now and it might determine whether we are going to the Big 12. I want us to become a power 5 school because of our basketball program. Do you guys think Memphis should move to the Big 12?
i hope they join
I love Memphis and there’s 100% interest in the big 12 adding you guys, but I have a feeling they’re going to wait until we hear what happens with the PAC-12 come 2024. There’s no rush anymore to add Memphis in all honesty.
Move if you can but Memphis needs to spend the next few years upgrading its facilities and research funding.
@Texas Gunslinger Memphis owns Houston, don’t be condescending to us.
Hopefully this wakes Memphis up and gets them up off their butts.
Big 12 fans mad about sec taking their teams but had no problem stealing the replacement teams
Well if MWC or the Sunbelt conference is smart. They better pick up what's remaining in the CUSA. La Tech, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Marshall. UTEP.
@Texas Gunslinger I like that for all but it all about money or TV deal.
@Texas Gunslinger It's kinda a moot point since the MWC is not expanding
@Texas Gunslinger It's a "wait and see" game... No one is going to rock the boat until then
The AAC just became the C-USA 2.0
I would've liked to see Coastal Carolina and App St added before Rice or UNC.
As a Memphis fan i feel like we back at where we started we got fucked smh
@@black-tw8eh It's not over yet. If Memphis adds value to the Big 12 they will be picked up in the future. Unfortunately nothing is likely to happen until the PAC12 media renewal in 2024. The waiting game and uncertainty sucks (I get it being a fan of the other school most often mentioned for future Big 12 expansion) but it isn't over.
@@jesterscorner879imagine if Cincinnati Houston and UCF would've stayed in the AAC guest what you would've happened the AAC would've rose to power5 status as a whole but aye to each its own
Who cares its just the old cusa fr 96!
there goes 'strength of schedule'...beating many of these new teams are not going to help, but hurt them...
People are putting down Charlotte.Wake up people! Do you not understand the size of Charlotte. The actual city of Charlotte is bigger than Atlanta, Miami, Birmingham, or New Orleans. Being on the border of NC and SC it brings in a large TV market. With Rice (Houston), UTSA (San Antonio) , Charlotte and UAB (Birmingham) the AAC is building a better TV market for its next contract.
The people in those cities don't care about those programs. They're UNC, Texas A&M, Texas, and Alabama fans. That's why they play in small empty stadiums.
It’s also the 2nd biggest university in the UNC system. Lots of endowment $$. For those of you that do not know, Charlotte is actually bigger than UNC Chapel Hill now.
Louisiana tech yes
I love it how Craig is belittling the AAC expansion candidates and throwing shade at it. But on a different scale, this is basically the same thing that the Big 12 did in replacing tu and OU. All of his same criticisms would apply. The Big 12 did a good job with their four new teams and the AAC did a good job as well. This is survival. Conference USA may be left without a chair when the music stops. Sucks for them.
Yeah, Dude should have stayed in bed...lol
I think it's just disappointing for the AAC because the Mountain West turned them down. The Big 12 replaced its losses with a similar on the field product, the AAC did not.
What do y'all think the group of five conference rankings would be now? Mountain west, the new-look AAC, Sunbelt and then MAC? Not sure what Conference USA options are, they may be toast.
Two top 25 teams and a recent national champion is waaaaay different than Rice and and Charlotte
I couldn't agree more. I'm a die hard WVU fan and live in the DMV. I can tell you that no one, in the DMV area, who watches college football was excited about the Big 12's new members. Everyone said exactly what Craig said. "They got the best teams available" "It's a watered down Big 12 now". Can anyone say hypocrite?
What about Texas State? They are always passed up.
Who!!
They are in the Sun Belt. It's like ESPN told the AAC not to take any Sun Belt schools.
@@drgat6953 no the Sun belt said they were fine. 2 weeks ago when the CUSA asked to merge.
Is anyone asking schools like North Dakota State, South Dakota State, James Madison University, Stephen F Austin, or Sam Houston State if they're interested?
Teams can’t just simply move up from FCS to FBS. They have to meet certain requirements first. FBS schools have to offer 16 scholarship sports; enrollment at the university has a annual requirement, 90% of the 85 football scholarships must be used every year. Even facilities are required to be at a minimal specific standard. NDSU could probably compete with a lot of FBS programs on the football field, but the university itself just doesn’t have the required resources or student body to make the jump.
@@fu-fucuddlypoops6583 great comment! Answered my question perfectly. Thank you very much for that information!
AAC is basically just C-USA 2.0 at this point.
And the C-USA is heading the way of the old football WAC.
Always was
The new AAC is the old CUSA
Perhaps weaker than the CUSA in its prime.
It always has been. Even the recent Big 12 additions plus Louisville have spent a significant amount of time in CUSA
@@MrHav1k Technically there is/was some old big east influence but you're spot on, even USF was CUSA.
I feel bad for USF they’re the only Big East leftover, they used to be a power conference school.
Technically Temple as well. They were booted in 2004, bounced between Independent and the MAC, and came back just before the Big East/AAC schism.
Meanwhile they play in an NFL stadium and not their own.
FAU (or Louisiana), costal Carolina, App State, UTSA, UAB, UTEP, should’ve been the 6 they added. Arkansas State &
Liberty should’ve applied & waited to see what would happen.
That way you rounded up all the good teams in the American & you create more presence in Texas & you pick up some quality teams in the east in Florida & Carolina.
Western Ky should’ve reached out.
@@montanaskies2702 i agree i think they are adding 6 teams because they are anticipating Memphis, USF, & SMU leaving for the Big 12.
The AAC footprint is television market and that is exacrly what the AAC is doing,
Thank you for the video.
I'm a Cincinnati fan so it really doesn't affect us much, but I liked the American and I don't think this is a good move. Those programs are even worse than the bottom teams in the American. I would have tried to add Marshall, app state, Louisiana tech, Louisiana (Cajuns), coastal Carolina, Liberty, and army. The MWC will be the best group of five now even if Boise leaves.
My Pirates got booted back to C-USA 2.0 it’s disgusting the remaining 8 schools don’t deserve this
Not possible. Army already said no when the AAC lost UCONN. Most of the others you mentioned are sun belt schools. ESPN owns the TV rights to the AAC and the sun belt. They were not going to pay more for a product they already own. C-USA was really the only option after the MW rejection.
@@drgat6953
CUSA is in trouble!
Sunbelt has surpassed them on the field and may invite some CUSA schools (Southern Miss,Marshall FIU,Louisiana Tech?,) add Liberty an have a strong league.
@@waltercole5024 yeah I have no clue what C-USA is going to do. Invite some FCS schools maybe. JMU and Sam Houston might be interested.
@@drgat6953 If ODU, Marshall, and even JMU end up in the SBC it makes perfect sense geographically for Liberty to join. And at that point the whole CUSA might as well merge into the SBC and create 2-4 regional "pods". Since ESPN owns SBC rights exclusively they might even use this as a way tease out larger merrgers with Big10/ACC/PAC12.
But Liberty's exclsuion from being part of the AAC expansion screams they are holding out for the Big12/ACC. They have too large of an endowment and vested interest now in football to consider a Sun Belt membership.
Big12 moved fast cause the pc12 helped them move fast
@Jesus id say so....for the first few weeks rumors swirled at the BIG and PAC taking bit out of the remaining teams...when that didnt happen, it was either strengthen the ship you are in, or jump to another..and the thought of the 8 teams joining the AAC or MWC and losing that A5 status was scary
Right... When the PAC & B1G turned their noses at the rest of the teams, they let the door slam shut for any of those remaining schools; now they are going to compete against the PAC & B1G.
The smarter decision would have been to take the best football centric teams, so no other conference competition outside of the alliance pops up.
It’s the power 6 now!
So who is CUSA gonna go get?
The winners will be the G5 teams that get the P5 call up. Now add Memphis and Boise State and be done with it.
Word is TX and OU are close to an exit settlement deal with Big 12 to join SEC this coming spring. Would make sense why the AAC expanded to 14. They're probably expecting one or more departures. Memphis better have their sh*t together this time or they'll miss the boat again and be finished and will be resorted to mid major level for good.
That is not word because it isn't possible for them to join the SEC next season. The SEC has already announced their 2022 schedule.
Whose word?
They'll be finished until the early 2030's, at least 10+ years, when the ACC grant of rights expires and the Big Ten goes after 2-4 ACC teams and I think Clemson-FSU will ask for SEC membership. The Big Ten/SEC schools will be giving probably $50 million more per school compared to the ACC, and that disparity will start to show by the end of the decade. There's no gentleman's agreement to block them, it opens up scheduling opportunities for Florida & South Carolina(especially if the SEC goes to 9 conference games and the bowl game requirement doesn't go to 5-7), protects the rivalry games, brings more money to everyone, and with an expanded CFP, makes perfect sense with 3 pods of 6 teams. They'll get tired of carrying the ACC financially since Notre Dame will never join it, and the conference just sucks overall when it comes to football. The basketball may be good, but football brings the money. I think Memphis could get added to the ACC in the 2030's if the ACC falls apart, which is likely. FSU is similar to Texas in the sense they bring money and viewership, albeit a slightly lower level, even though they haven't been good recently.
@@BamaScorpio69 So just because they released a schedule, that is subject to change once TX and OU get it worked out, means they can't join next year?😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@duanemcdaniel9883 Coming from Dallas.
I like that they went after the Texas schools. I think that was smart. Not sure about Charlotte, but certainly another Florida school isn't a bad idea either.
Hello
The whole state of texas is benefiting more than any state the only state that has schools in all power5 conferences mean time Tennessee only have two power5 teams but snubbed Memphis?
Its still not over..If I am the ACC I offer WV, TEMPLE, MEMPHIS, and maybe Marshall membership.
Absolutely not, only one I would want is WVU, Memphis maybe if they improve in basketball. But Temple & Marshall in ACC? 😂😂😂
Why would the ACC want Temple?
Free Memphis from the AAC!
I like the additions by the AAC save for Charlotte and to a lesser extent Rice. Rice gives you Houston but doesn't care about sports and is a small school with a tiny (though extremely wealthy) alumni base. Charlotte I don't get at all. I think they're there just to be there. Georgia State would have made way more sense than Charlotte, but the entirety of the belt probably turned down the AAC which speaks volumes about the Sun Belt
I always figured Rice for the Mountain West. Rice and New Mexico would be a good game. 😁
@Texas Gunslinger nobody watches Rice. Rice cant even recruit good because their standards are so high. They will be the Vanderbilt of the AAC. There are high schools in the Houston are that attract more fans and alumni (and are the same size) as Rice
@Texas Gunslinger
💯 👍
AAC also doesn't want MWC to expand into Texas so its a Strategic move to keep them out of DFW Houston San Antonio markets
The 2 best G5 conferences MWC in the west, AAC in the East.
@Texas Gunslinger
Yes where else could they expand? They have the best G5 schools on the west coast when they put WAC conference out of business ,so they would love to expand into Texas especially into the major markets Houston San Antonio DFW , UTEP would love to join cause CUSA is falling apart
As a UNCC grad, the decision was made based upon upside and potential, we have a fertile recruiting ground to work with, a city that is exploding in population, and finally an A.D. and chancellor that are investing in athletics, we do have a history of good basketball tradition, and football is getting better each year, I know that there are better choices out there short term, but long term we have the potential to be one of the best teams in the new AAC with a huge TV market
Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech Big12????
These additions are making Conference USA's regionalization idea seem way, way more appealing. Charlotte, FAU and Rice just have me scratching my head. Are they planning on 16 when the CFP expands? Is that when you add Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina?
Also great point on how these additions look to a school like SMU. If they get the chance to leave now, they are gone!
Don't sleep on UNC Charlotte
They will see in the future when we are the face of the new AAC
Why did the AAC not add Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Liberty , UTSA, UAB , FAU if you want a school in Florida. Why Rice, Texas state, Charlotte. They all stink and do nothing for the conference. Rice plays in a 60,000 stadiums that is empty for games. They could have taken the best schools from CUSA and Sunbealt
I hope the existing members signed off on this, particularly SMU and Tulsa. Or they will be looking to leave. If the new AAC TV deal is less than the 4 mil of the Mountain West, they may jump ship if Big 12 doesn't call first.
Coastal i would expect to join the american at some point
Wow what a lineup
Marshall and Southern Miss to the Sunbelt and will pass up the new AAC in football.
@Texas Gunslinger I honestly don't understand what you said.
@Texas Gunslinger what AAC schools did I suggest the SBC take? I don't get where you're coming from.
Someone needs to invite Memphis.
It’s funny how when people talk about chapter 2 of realignment, they never think about the possibility of more teams leaving out of the Big12…
mwc is the best non power 5 smu should bolt
I feel sorry for Memphis. They have to find a way to get out of that God awful ,AAC. The AAC went from bad to worse.
Memphis and smu have got to be upset maybe the mw will take them
@@wesleyowens4089 big step down in money. Mwc doesnt help their recruiting base (memphis). Traditionally they have recruited east of I-35, ny, nj, pa, fl, illinois, south, tex, and oklahoma.
@@PeteR-ed9nd I doubt it will be a step down in money when the new contacts are negotiated the mw stayed the same while the aac lost most of it's big brands. Plus the aac commissioner says the reason they're getting six schools is because he wants to fortify from further attrition. It's like saying going fun the big 12 to the PAC 12 would be a step down in money which is true but not once you realize ou and Texas left
@@wesleyowens4089 Agreed. Everyone keeps looking at the AAC with the current media deal which includes Houston, UCF, Cincy. Once those are gone I fail to see how the AAC is going is going to have any significant media revenue advantage over the MWC. This becomes even more true if Boise State, Memphis and any other teams get poached.
@@jesterscorner879 yeah I think once this realignment is done the go5 pecking order will be the mw then the sun belt then the aac in third followed by the Mac because I don't think smu or Memphis will stay in the aac also Tulane and usf will probably be looking for a way out but the c-usa is done for
Teams are moving up a level, but the levels they are moving up to are moving down. The new Big 12 is not as good as the old Big 12 and the new AAC is not as good as the old AAC. Only the SEC is in a better position than it previously was.
The new Big 12 is better in terms of basketball and football.
The new Big 12 is absolutely better in Basketball. I don't know if the the same is true about football yet.
Worse in terms of money, though.
Texas has done nothing the last 10 years. Other than brand name I'd say the new Big 12 is better in football. Especially if they add Memphis and Boise. Basketball is clearly better too. This will be a win for the big 12. OU has been carrying this league for a long time, but Texas has done Jack
The new Big 12 has one national championship in the past 50 years (BYU, 1984). The fact that people are having to bring up basketball shows how dire the situation is.
AAC should go after Coastal Carolina and Louisiana
The AAC is a crappy conference now regardless of who you add. They already had several MWC schools turn them down which means they are irrelevant.
Eventually, I see the big ten adding Notre dame (they will realize how much money they are missing out on) and Kansas to balance. Pac 12 adds OSU, TTU, Tcu, and a fourth team (KState???, Baylor?). Acc adds Wvu and Cincinnati.
Notre Dame can’t join any conference besides the ACC until the 2030’s. It’s in their contract with them.

It’s terrible, they could have gotten App, Coastal, Marshall, UAB, Southern Miss and somewhat maintained their brand. Kill the conference
It's likely that ESPN blocked the AAC from taking any Sun Belt programs.
@@drgat6953 I saw that but it’s sad. ECU hasn’t been the best over the past 6 years but they still have a very passionate fan base and are on the come up again. Most of the remaining AAC schools don’t deserve a reincarnation of C-USA 2.0 from what I’ve seen the remaining 8 fanbases in the AAC hate this.
Goodbye aac
Not Charlotte. The rest I agree with.
Charlotte has the most potential and upside of all the teams picked, just wait and see
Charlotte is making a mistake. Add Liberty and JMU. Then use exit fee money to pay for Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, and East Carolina. Looks a lot better then this water down Texas conference with teams that have half their foot out the door
I still feel like the Sun Belt with Coastal, Louisiana, and App State is more impressive. If the Sun Belt added Marshall, Liberty and two other schools I think they'd be in the running for the next best conference. Heck I could imagine a world where Memphis bolts for the Sun Belt with this news.
No way will Memphis dropped down to the Sun belt especially with the way the basketball program is starting to rise up if they have a final four national championship season the Big 12 we want them in basketball especially because who wouldn't want to see Memphis & Kansas play three times a year football program is better in Houston it's better than UCF and South Florida
CUSA asked the Sun belt about a merger two weeks ago they said no.
rearranging deck chairs on the titanic
Hit the nail on the head with how the SMU fanbase feels lol.
Maybe SMU and Memphis bolt to MWC?
Memphis is Big 12 bound. SMU probably backfills Boise in the MWC. Does SMU want to be in a western facing league though?
@@MrHav1k Thank you no way in hell with Memphis especially with the basketball program they have with join the mountain West conference when the Big 12 especially after this season is going to want them for basketball
Come to the Sun Belt!
SMU and Memphis will pay 15M+ to make less money in a slightly better football conference that could go south if Boise leaves? Yeah, not happening. They are both stuck until a P5 invite.
In your wildest dreams!
I feel the Big 12 made a mistake in not adding more than 4. OU and Texas will leave shortly and very likely Pac 12 expands in 2 years and will look to pick off 1 or 2 Big 12 teams.
Breaking news. The AAC got weaker than it was.
OU and TX exit, so will the Big 12.
No one has ever mentioned getting Fresno State.
SMU would be best served in the Mountain West. Same goes for Tulsa & Navy.
Would make the MWC the clear #6 conference, which may be worth something if the Playoff expands.
Navy is too far away from the Mountain West.
R.A. Johns is right... Navy is too far away. The constant cross country flights would kill them.
With the additions of North Texas, UTSA, and Rice, (all Texas schools) why in the world would SMU and Tulsa need to join the Mountain West?
@@Tony-Plinkett Yes. Have people ever been on a jet from VA to CO? It is a beating. Not to mention fuel costs.
@@RAJohns Navy wouldn't necessarily mine some travel for recruiting purposes... They are a National Service Academy, and their football team members are spread throughout the country. However, they need some balance, and don't want to be isolated to just one area of the country
So don’t nobody want Coastal Carolina??? Looking at you ACC. Might as well take Memphis too
If I was the ACC I would definitely take Memphis but for basketball mainly but the football program is pretty good and two years ago they went to the Cotton bowl and played Penn State
Totally could see the AAC adding Notre Dame and Memphis to round out the numbers.
@Texas Gunslinger the acc is locked into their contract for the next decade. When the other conferences start renewing their media rights contracts it wouldn’t be an awful idea to consider Memphis for the long term depending on how they stack up. Not saying that Memphis is a must have for anyone though, I just hope the best for them.
@Texas Gunslinger Memphis has proven to be competitive and being put I. A bigger conference could really help them out. Every couple years they a top 25 team they got 3 pro RBs in the league Darrell Henderson (RAMS) Tony Pollard (CowBoys) and Gainwell for the (Eagles). They can lineup against all of those ACC teams and win 5-8 games off top nobody’s a world bearer this year.
As a diehard Miami Hurricane fan I’m not sure we’ll beat Memphis this year I’m pretty sure they’ll run though us honestly.
But ACC gotta make moves you got a side chick in ND but for how long you need life partners like Coastal Carolina, Cincinnati and UCF (before they pay a dime to B12, App St. Is competitive invest in some up and comings is all I’m saying.
AAC will now be less than the MW and on par with C-usa and mac
If the AAC is on par now with CUSA then why are 6 teams leaving the CUSA, and joining the AAC? That doesn't make any sense....
