    My god I love watching you guys. I bet I am not the only one that wants to sit down with you guys and have few drinks and talk about what ever.

    Just bought this for my trip to the BWCA next week. Hoping we wont have to test its waterproof ability 😂

    This liner looks exactly like the Ostrom Liner. I did get one from Bill Ostrom when he was still making the pack and have used it ever since.

    Another great item from Andy. Just blew my budget with Gary at The Canadian Outdoor Equipment Co Esker 10x10 Classic 1 and a Esker Ontario stove shipped and at my door in 3 days. Kevin I"m with you liked the first shirt better.

      Yes. That was the prototype - I think he said it would be out for this spring.

    Can we find out what kind of waterproofing this uses? PU or sil? Maybe estimated pressure head too

      I'm not sure. Send Andy a note about it on his Recreational Barrel Work email info@recreationalbarrelworks.com.

    Wow. You can fit a body in this bag 😄

      in case Jim Baird chops off another body part, you have room to bring it back to the hospital with you. The hard part is finding a moose to milk in order to submerge the limb in it to keep it from going bad.

    Andy's pack is bigger because he likes traveling comfortably...

    Cool idea. What are the advantages of this two-bag system versus a full dry pack like a 115 Litre Sealine Boundary? How does the weight and capacity of the two bags compare? Would the outer canoe pack be more durable than a full dry pack.

    • @TheHappyCamper
      @TheHappyCamper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The full waterproof bag isn't as comfortable to carry. It's also not as durable in the long run. And no side packets or top pockets for storage. And usually no tump (I like a tump myself).Also, more capacity overall - but probably heavier

      Thanks, @@TheHappyCamper. I gotta admit I like the idea of side/top pockets for storage of items that you need to access during the day. I usually travel with a 115 L dry pack and a smaller 30 L dry day pack, which can make single carry portages problematic. I've never used a tump and I'm not sure I should be starting at my age. Does Andy/Recreational Barrel Works sell/market/distribute any canoe packs? The RBW liner looks nice. Has Andy actually retired (congratulations if he has) or is he just getting projects ready for when he does (congratulations on be so organized if he is)?

    • @TheHappyCamper
      @TheHappyCamper  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@retiredoutside You shouldn't have an issue with the tump due to age. It really helps, epseically when hauling up a hill. Andy has two pack designs in the works - one large 115 litre and one medium size. Good shoulder strap design but no internal frame like Ostrom had. I think Andy can retire in a couple of years. You'll have to ask him why he dove into the canoe equipment world. Not sure why. He does like keeping busy.

      @@TheHappyCamper I agree with Kevin. I did see someone tear a hole in a waterproof canoe pack.

    Did Andy mention the cost? I don't see it listed on RBW site.

      Not out of stock - according to Andy its still being shipped. Send him an email to Recreational Barrel Works. I'm just the good friend who agreed to film his retirement stuff.
