Its Surprising !!! How you only have such figures in views and Subscribed people.........U owe much!!! Hatsoff to the animation and the way you explain them.....Just the way i wanted.....Simple,Easy and Efficient
nah we've got it sorted the negative sign just helps with the way he teaches us whether the reaction is exothermic (negative) and has less energy in the bonds hence the negative sign while exothermic is just the opposite :) thanks anyway for your help!
If you consider the system as isolated, so there is no loss to the outside, then you can write the heat as a sum of terms for the substances that transfer heat. Then, Q-water + Q-rxn = 0 and the sign of Q-water is determined by the sign of the temperature change.
Wow, you just explained two topics with such ease that it's going to be in my head till my last breath. You are the best. And can anyone help me with how to make a bomb calorimeter at home?
wait i have an interesting question . in the example of coffee cup calorimeter the as the volume was not kept constant so how you can assume that all the energy of the reaction got into raising the temperture or the internal energy of the water.
wont the weight be heavier than the actual weight of water then because you weighed the cup AND the water?? also do we just ignore the heat absorbed by the coffee cup itself?
Hi! Thanks for a wonderful video. This is really helping me for my IB final exams. Could you perhaps do a video on the practical elements of isobaric calorimetry, such as taking into account the errors in measurement (heating of the calorimeter etc.)? That would be very much appreciated. Thank you again. Greetings from Finland, Jonne
Calorimetry is used to determine the change in temperature of a mixture (solution) so we use the mass of the liquid when calculating the change in temperature.
Ok so two styrofoam cups One w a small hole on bottom & one w out Filled first one up w liquid & double cupped it on top of the second one w out a hole .. Then I woke up in the morning with the first cup balancing on top of the other one with the liquid transferred. Is this normal or paranormal Bc we watched a curse film the night it was double cupped
I was trynna learn the real concept behind calorimetry through so many sites but this was the most descriptive and simple one. Appreciate it sir ☺️
So in summary, you just taught me the basic structure of making a bomb.
lol
Why's this channel so under rated
This video is "the bomb". Great graphics and simple explanation! As a chem teacher I appreciate other great teachers.
GREAT JOB!!
I don't usually leave comments no matter how good the video is, but this is exceptionally different!!! Amazing explanation! THANK YOU!
This guy is the best! So easy to understand
The best teacher I've found on the Internet so far!
Being a teacher myself for more than a decade, I would love to rate him as a LEGEND! So simple, and yet so effective... :)
great great explanation and awesome illustrative technique for such a wonderful presentation. thank you!
I wonder why this channel is so underrated ... the videos helped me lot in my study of thermodynamics .....thank you for easy explanationa
DR.PAUL MCCORD your videos are really very great. They are really usefull to me.Thank you very much.
Even yourr voice is calming. This is academic heaven
Amazing video, NOW I undestarnd the laboratory session im about to do. Thanks so much.
Thank you. Great video , well explained in such a short amount of time👍
My first language is spanish, and I understood you better than my teacher, thank you so much.
Magical explanation.. 👍
Excellent video! Very helpful
Keep up the great work

i wish this guy was my chem teacher; he's so happy.
Thank you very much Sir. God bless you

Thank you for the help. Your explanation was very clear and helpful.
Thanks Professor for your effort
You, sir, are an absolute lifesaver
My students love your stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Simple, easy and efficient 👌👍
Thank you very much Mr Quentin Tarantino :)
Only such a system gives an error in measurements at least 2.5 times.
See the Principle of Le Chatelier - Brown (1884)
its helpful, i like your way of explaining things :D
Excellent
It was a great great great helping video
Thanks I just searched this topic on different places this one is the best
Why my Chem Prof. can't explain like him? Man you are too good
I finally understand the Q=mC(delta)T experimental relationships, thanks!
Clever guy, clear explanation!
love and respect friom PAKISTAN

nice lecturing
Wow, you just explained two topics with such ease that it's going to be in my head till my last breath. You are the best.

Great job man, you saved me so hard bro
wow he kinda looks like Quentin Tarantino
wait i have an interesting question . in the example of coffee cup calorimeter the as the volume was not kept constant so how you can assume that all the energy of the reaction got into raising the temperture or the internal energy of the water.
Thank You so much Sir. Massive Respect for you. Love you.
Thanks alot.
What software are you using for video editing?
thank you David Vanden Bout
الغرب متقدمين علينا بالكثير ..!
الحمد لله على كل حال
this video was just awwwwwsm!♡♡♡
This 5min video explained calorimetry better than my entire lecture
Awesome explanation 😃
VERY NICE VIDEO THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Seeing after 10 years
Bhot bdhia🙌🌼
wont the weight be heavier than the actual weight of water then because you weighed the cup AND the water?? also do we just ignore the heat absorbed by the coffee cup itself?
help
We only take the initial weight of the substance. I guess the coffee cup insulates the heat and returns it to the water...
Cleared a lot of things for me!
explained so simply.... LOVED IT
why dont we have more teachers like these?
Thank you! Ive been saved from near disaster! They should just show this video in school instead of giving us a 1 hour lecture on how sheeps fly
Excellent video! Thank you!
Wow yar it's awesome

guys i got in trouble in school for making a bomb, why
You remined me of Rodney McKay, Dr. Rodney McKay
Very good video, thank you.
The best explanation!
Can you please upload more videos. I feel like your explanation is way better than that in Khan academy.😎😎😎
I'm doing a lab report, Is it possible to use a non styrocup? A mug for example?
explained very clear. great job
You are truly amazing! Thank you!
excellent sir..
great job!
Great explanation. However my textbook has the formula as q=sm delta T for specific heat (s) instead of heat capacity (C)
Guys pls come again upload more videos.
hello! with the equation you spelled out. Is the final answer going to be your enthalpy or 𐤃H?
can anyone explain me the significance of the equation Qp=Qv+P delta V
Love this guys!
You sir are a great person
i diddnt know tarantino liked chemistry
Sir you are awesome
Okay so wait... when u put something in the water it will weigh more so you have a delta M or you just use the weigh before you put something in it

I loved, I want to download yourself
come on no waY!!!!!!!! Make more videos please we need this type of videos
what apss you edit for this vid
awesomly explained
thanks a lot ... very clear and helpful
1:24
Lean lean double cup
acid/base pour it up
Very Clear!! I love it! Thanks!
Go krazy
-David 2011
Very helpful! Thank you
May god bless your heart you just saved me!
2020 gang…
You said maybe put acid in it, so the acid isn't necessary?
And what do you mean by base?
simple and clear. thanks so helpful 💙
thank you so much for this very helpful video ❤❤❤
thank you
This is what we need
what's the equation for the bomb calorimetry? i didn't got the last part that much T_T
how does the heat get into the water if the bomb is also isolated?
thank you sir you just made it easy
brilliant!
