With engine running shouldn't the large spade connector (output) from the generator be putting out at least 13.5 volts so it can charge your battery? From what I could see your meter was reading 11.5 volts out which is lower than the 12v battery. ???
Awesome SYB, thank you very much for the great shout out and showing me point for point, I understand 100% what to do, I will test mine and make a video, your video is super, thanks very much my friend
I have a Ford 300. Problem I’m having is when I hook up the battery. White smoke is coming out of the back of the generator. Any idea what could be the problem? What should I look at? Thank you
That probably means that the generator is wrongly connected. Or the regulator is not working right or connected wrongly. Ik can be a lot of things. Maybe you can find a schematic diagram for the tractor and trace the wires to see if they are in the right place. I hope I've been helpful. Don't try connecting the battery again until you are shure you found the problem. You are burning the windings of the generator this way. Good luck my friend and try to see the logic of it that makes it a lot easier.
@@sypodj you should explain properly Like you said small wire and big wire And I have both same size, so you talk to much and the benefits it’s little and you should tell the wires what for and what written on them
To be fair to you this video is more for the person with some knowledge of generators and electrical theory. The best way to teach people how to test their own generator is to use the LUCAS SYSTEM for testing. 😊
Clear and concise...I will travel to the farm next week just to make this test! Thank you.
Good luck and thanks for letting me know it's helpful 👍
Great video! I followed your instructions and fixed my charging system on my 73 Ford 3000. Thank you so very much! 👍🏻
Great to hear that 👍 that's the meaning of my channel. Sharing knowledge and helping each other 😁 greetings from Holland
Thank you for taking the time to help, very clear and to the point...Thanks
Good to hear that i could help you with my video. 👍 thanks for watching it 😁

This is a dc generator it doesn't produce much voltage at lower rpm's. When you give a little more rpm 's it's charging just fine.

My pleasure my friend! Thanks for watching!

Why you explain like this 🤦🏼♂️
Because it's the fastest way to test the dynamo so why not?

Tip:
1. Doe het in het Nederlands
Of...
2. Volg een cursus Engels

Niet zeuren. Fijn dat je je de moeite neemt om het uit te leggen 👍
