You know, when we all first played this mission over a decade ago, none of us realized how important this mission would be. the first encounter with a hybrid, the first of many to come.
I remember when I first played this I was real young so I didn't really comprehend anything that was said and done here. Now that I'm older I can see this was some crazy stuff back then, and even now.
tbh i was hoping that SC2 would be a huge story of revenge where the death of Kerrigan would be the climax. Maybe a second UED fleet that comes with a vengance. Anything but what we got would have been much better.
At that point, Duran had pretty much won. He no longer had any need to lie with his successful sabotage to all factions. I believe that hybrid were originally even more powerful than what they were in SC2. That game's badly written fan-fiction at best; all the dark and mature tone of the first one was replaced with 'love' and flashy stuff.
Man Duran you were such a badass but this is where you began to fall why didn't you keep your mouth shut? Or was it not you who bragged about the Hybrids and that being you served but Ouros? If it was you why didn't you sent your best mercenaries to fuckin' kill Zeratul? Oh a station was destroyed while I was away resurrecting and infesting Stukov!!! Who was that I wonder? Hmm better do nothing about it yeah he cannot stop my greatest plans except he did in the end!!!
10:15: Tank shows another Protoss, though. 18:06: I'd rather prefer the Hybrids to have stayed an all-powerful mystery, just like the Babylon 5 Shadows and FreeSpace Shivans (and where Mass Effect's Reapers failed). Oh, and I'm of the opinion that the ultimate threat were the vengeful Xel'Naga, not some Burning Legion-whatever archetype called Amon. (Darn, you didn't do the "Kill 5 ursadons =long living Broodling" trick. Still, a flawless run!)
