I WONDER IF THESE IN TIME COULD BE USED IN SPACE FLIGHT WHERE A SOLAR TARP COULD GENERATE ENOUGH POWER TO RUN SOME FUNCTIONS IN THE CABIN LIKE COMMUNICATIONS OR LED LIGHTS, THUS SAVING FUEL FOR MORE IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS??
It might be possible. Solar pannels in clothes have already been made. But when astronauts are out of space they are also out of the ozone layer and not envolved in the greenhouse effect (sorry if the terms are incorrect. English is not my native language). In other words, the technology would have to be a lot more resistant so it could do a good and durable job.
