In a city of tens of thousands of restaurant, you have done a remarkable job of selected the best of. I can't wait for my daughters to visit so we can hit some of your recommendations.
Loved this video - would have liked more details on some of those choices, however, I liked the simplicity of the video with the excellent photos. I have lived in the Los Angeles area my entire life and sad to say, I haven't tried most of these eats. The ones that interested me most was the Avocado Egg, The Beef Noodle Soup, the Chicken Sando, the Fish and Chips - Cat & Fiddle, Sweet Blessing's Fried Chicken, Peking duck at Ji Rong, Prime Rib at Lawry's, Shabu Shabu at Kagaya, Tendon at Hanasuke, and the Tokatsu at Waka Donkatsu. Those all looked amazing and I'm definitely going to have to check them out. Appreciate the video!
wow pretty killer lineup, I am impressed and got a lot of places to try out. Love that you included Pollo a la brasa! I might add Uovo's Ragu to the list.
To think I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Though I don't get down there hardly anymore, I didn't recognize 97 of them. I only recognized three. Lawry's, Phillipes, and the Apple Pan. Like I said I hardly go to LA anymore, but the last time I did, which was last September, I had to go to my old hunting grounds the Apple Pan. There's something unique in the way thier burgers taste that are so damn good! They were only doing take out that day because of COVID-19, but I bought five of thier Hickory burgers costing me around seventy five bucks. But I didn't care, it was my chance to relive my childhood and I wanted to pig out! I was down there so it was a special treat. I took them back to the hotel with me, and they tasted just the way I remembered them. It was awesome. Thanks!
Love the list. Will be visiting a few for sure. I love Paul's Kitchen on San Pedro. An LA original. AUTHENTIC CHINESE AMERICAN FOOD!! I didn't see any Chinese restaurants on your list. Tommy Lasorda put them on the map at 1988 world series. Best old school Chinese in LA. Promise.
Please try Banana Leaf Indonesian cuisine, at 5835 Temple City Blvd, Temple City (LA). They are very delicious. I just introduced it to my friends and they like it.😋 Anyway, great channel and great foods always!😛

I can't lie I was having a GREAT time.. up until #81 Spago's smoked salmon pizza..... uhhhmm GAGG! Everything else looks absolutely mouth watering... I can't wait to go!!
I couldn’t believe there was a shabu shabu place I didn’t know about. Then I saw the prices. Lol. I’m more of an “all you can eat for $24.95” shabu shabu fan, but maybe if I get some good news or a good bonus at work, I’m gonna have to try this place! Some of my favs are on here. La Scala chopped salad, and tsujita (I like the regular chashu ramen, didn’t like the tsuekemen, no sure how it’s spelled), daikokuya has amazing ramen, and langers rueben sandwiches are awesome. I also like thai boat noodle soup from Thai by Trio, chicken w/black beans and white rice from caveman’s kitchen (get the red sauce and drown the food in it) and chicken wings from ye rustic inn!
Love your content, and I predict your channel will go big. Please continue to create innovative content with a focus on food, and perhaps add cultural/uniques places as well???? I grew in SoCal (LA & SD), and I'll be sure to try some of these places though I've tried a few already (mainly Korean/Asian places).
Excellent effort and work 👍, LA has a great food culture and wide selection. Overall California food basket is more extensive relative to other states. I also noticed LA has plenty of organic food. Check out the plenty of farmer's markets whenever you have time. I've tried the French Dip, delicious. Also the short rib taco. I want to try the tendon and the Tonkastu while in LA. Looks good.
Oh my goodness! So much to choose from and I feel like a rookie Angelino :( I only been to like 6 of those but know I have a reason to check out other places for sure. In my honest opinion (not because I am Mexican lol) but you certainly forgot for the 'M's ... MOLE. La Guelaguetza in KoreaTown (Oaxaca Cuisine). They have a variety of Moles and each have its distinctive flavor. In all, great insight. Thanks.
Dang, no love for Bludso's? That's my favorite BBQ in all of LA, lol Also I recently had a Saffron and Rosewater ice cream sandwich at Mashti Malone's which I heard about before Saffron and Rose. Supposedly Mashti Malone's is THE original Persian ice cream spot in LA and after trying their Mashti special (the aforementioned sandwich) I can see why! I gotta try a lot more of these spots, especially Roscoe's, Phillipe's, Langer's, Pie n' Burger, Donut Man, Howlin' Rays (dreading the lines, though) and some of the KBBQ and ramen places mentioned here. The best Ramen in LA I had thus far is Yamadaya in Torrance ...I swear after this pandemic I've become a foodie watching these videos, lmao XD

Now I’m all the way out in the IE, too far from LA to warrant making the drive… hey, NO food is worth dealing with all that traffic, I don’t care HOW tasty it is! Now, of the 5 items on your list that I’ve personally tried, I definitely agree with your recommendations; although I don’t personally care for the Strawberry Glazed from Donut Man. I’ve given it multiple chances to win me over, but I’m just not feelin’ it… I might be the only one, lol. Guess I’m just not a donut person. 🤷🏼♂️ Steve, I just watched your episode on the Luxe Buffet out here in Ontario. It’s now on my list! How often do you make it all the way out here to the IE? There are some great places to eat out in Palm Springs… if you can take the heat. ☀️🥵

This is your biggest vid right? You should do them more often about Orange County San Diego the valley then narrow down to neighborhood lists idk I would milk the list format if I were you
I was about to comment on this video until I saw I commented on it a year ago... dang, I totally forgot. XD I still stand by the fact that this pandemic turned me into a wannabe foodie, lol. What I will add on, though, is that I have been to Bottega Louie and while I don't think I tried the macarons there, I have had several of their pastries which are SUPER good, and their Burrata Pizza which is probably up there with some of the best pizza I've ever had!
It’s a good list, but it’s mostly focused on Asian cuisines… but the guy is Asian, so there is that… there are 100 other restaurants/eateries/trucks/dishes in Los Angeles that are not Asian that should be included. Maybe a collaboration of various foodie angelenos would be better.
I only tried 10 a few look and sound familiar but I only ate there once so not sure if it's the same place plus u kinda butchered alot of the names of the restaurants & foods so maybe i know em by different names

Weighted heavily in favor of Korean and Mexican food but a great list. You need to go to Thai Town. Best Thai food in the US is in LA/Hollywood.
